The goal of TangOnline is not to replace your participation on regular classes with a Tango Teacher within your community, which is always essential for a proper and consistent development as a dancer, but to work as a complementary support of essential information for every Tango dancer.
And if your teaching Tango, than I hope this can help you too by eventually giving you a different approach on how to address different topics.

I'm going to have my very first lesson today, and you have easily explained a classic pitfall and annoying problem for anybody who is going to learn dancing.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DANCING. I USED TO LEARN BALLROOM DANCING THEN I TAUGHT IT IN RETURN. I WAS CALLED A STUDENT TEACHER. ONE DANCE I NEVER LEARNT WAS THE TANGO. NOW IM WANTING TO COMPOSE A TANGO FOR THE PIANO, NOT SURE IF I WILL DO IT OR NOT AND IF I WILL SUCCEED OR NOT. IM WORRIED I WONT GET THE BEAT RIGHT.

Yes!!!! So many tango instructors seem to ignore the role of the music and teach the basics in a silent room... Music is the alpha and omega of tango, it should accompany each step of the process, literally and figuratively.
