Getting a lot of comments from you guys being concerned this could of been someone’s pet who got loose. Firstly, the person who caught this rabbit put “found rabbit” flyers around the town and waited a week to hear from someone incase they lost their pet. Unfortunately, no one contacted him. Secondly, my town is in a CRISIS with dumped rabbits so 99% of the time, it is a dumped rabbit situation.
I appreciate your guys concern that someone could be missing their pet, but please know, I am sure to do my research and will look into local “lost animal” Facebook groups to confirm this was not someones pet rabbit.
This is 100% another dumped case and there will be many more I will have to take on in the future. It’s such an unfortunate situation my town is currently facing, but I am trying my best to tackle it and solve this issue.
You are just cleaning up another bad rabbit parent consequences at this point we all now how you only rescue rabbits in need
@@Nothemomma904 Thank you! If it weren’t for me, no one else would be out there getting these rabbits off the streets 😕
the piggy’s and bunnies are so cuteeee!! Thank you for taking care of this cute little fluff ball ❤ I hope he finds a good home
Who would dump such a sweet baby 😢
If that were my rabbit and it got loose I would be out day and night looking for it. Because of u he is going to get a wonderful home
He isnt "itching" himself. he is "chinning" - they have a gland and put their scent on things they want to keep that they like :)
We need to petition to mirror Frances pet laws regarding abandoned pets. They require microchips for ALL ANIMALS!! So all dump cases are fined and legally dealt with, and pet owners are almost always returned their loved ones without worry due to this system. Because of this one law regarding microchipping pets, there are ZERO STRAY ANIMALS OF ANY SORT IN FRANCE
The only solution to abandoned pets is to mandate microchips and make microchips as accessible and affordable as a flu shot
This is a federal government issue, too many stray pitbulls and large dangerous animals not to mention the harmless neglected animals abandoned. Shame on America, this need to happen nation wide and not state by state
We have this law in Lithuania too but it doesn't mean people are actually doing it. And we still have stray animals that were never chipped.
How can they control microchips when ppl breed them and don’t bring them to the vet?
don't know @@Finalwarlock
"he's a little stinky" wow, dumped and roasted XD
😂
He is not itching on the house 🙈 rabbits give their scent of on things that way 😋
It’s called chinning!
Ive been looking for a bunny with this exact temperament and i live nearby! Definitely applying to adopt this sweet baby
Update: we adopted him!! Renamed to Jackson :) we love him so much
I love that! Please reach out to the rescue. They are amazing! ☺️
this bunny is so exceptionally friendly. . .hopefully he didnt escape nice owners who are missing him 🍀
They haven’t looked for him one time
@@Nothemomma904 you don't know they might have tried
I’m thinking he was made friendly by an original owner and then they re-homed him for whatever reason and that second owner ended up dumping him
Good luck rider, remember everyone adopt don't shop, no demand no supply.
YES! 🎉
I would not be surprised if he just escaped his home and that is the reason he was on the streets. He got the escape artist energy
That’s what I was thinking. It’s not always a malicious breeder dumping their rabbits. Sometimes it can be a lost beloved pet
He is not itching himself he is claiming his space they have scent things under his chin I learned that from my vet but yea lol thank you for all the work u do it is truly amazing an appreciated
15:17 the guinea pigs squeaking is so cute 😭
He is exceptionally beautiful and such a gentle sweet boy. I’d adopt him in a heartbeat. I do not understand people. How can you NOT love such a sweetheart?
Maybe he escaped instead of being dumped. Bless him ❤
He wasn’t itching himself on the hideout, he is claiming it as his own. If other rabbits (that he isn’t bonded with, ofc) have used it, this will further the territorial-ness. But yeah, not itching, but more saying “you’re mine” and rubbing his smell on things. Very cute
He might not have had water in a bowl he might have had a water bottle with his previous owner so take his romaine lettuce in his veggies soak them in water some cold water and then give them to him also I know you don't want to but you might want to add a water bottle maybe that's what he's used to so he has a bowl of water and a bottle of water thank you for asking him he's gorgeous I think another bunny I think the name for him would be cuddles
rabbits shouldnt use bottles
@@kipsbat yes I know they shouldn't use water bottles but I was just throwing out after cuz he won't drink out of the bowl put the bowl of water in a water bottle in there so he can have his choice his previous owner that dumped him might have just had him on a water bottle I got six bunnies all drink out of water bowls I know how it is in some of them are Foster fails they were on bottles when I got them I put a bottle in a bowl of water in their playpens for them so eventually they chose the water bowl then I got rid of all the water bottles
Man, I wish you could three-way bond them and keep him.
Technically you can….
I do too lol
Male bonding is very difficult, and bonding 3 rabbits is a hard process. Pairs are more commonly kept because they're easier to monitor.
@@youreinvalid8493 hence why I said I wished he could. For someone who has so many animals,a business, and regularly rescues animals, it's just too much to ask :(
@@youreinvalid8493male bonding isn’t nearly as difficult as female bonding
Ive always said everybody should register and have a permit to own pets. Have them pass a test on the particular species they want to own.
So happy you rescued him... 🥰💖😊 You're doing a great job!! It's funny, I just discovered your channel recently and while it's clear you love all animals and your passion has been centered around piggies... I can already tell you've completely fallen in love with bunnies!!! 🐰💖 That's what happens.. they'll completely take over your heart!! Enjoy the bunny love!! And much love to you 💞😊
Thank you so much for doing what you do! Bunnies are so misunderstood, you're a great person! 😊
Omg he’s so sweet he knows milo and Vinnie need a friend
I think Peter is a lovely name for such a sweet boy. Sweet Pete ❤❤❤
He’s so cute. I’m happy to see he is safe now.
My bunny is super picky about her veggies and also eats on her own timeline.
Your so respectful for animals
Your heart is in the right place. Thank you for your kindness. Grtz from the Netherlands.
He's so cute. Thank you friend for all you've done. Totally subscribing!
I had 2 rabbits , Lavern , and Shirley, they had a whole room for their home, but they were very mean, I tried hard to tame them, but they just weren’t having it! Now they live in a huge outdoor pen with tunnels and everything else!!
You are awesome thank you for what you do ❤
Him exploring his new home and scenting everything is so cute
He was happy with you and he must have been sad and confused leaving his comfortable little home, but I guess that’s the difficult part of rescuing. We can’t keep them all.
Awe, Ryder is adorable and I hope has a forever home waiting soon! If there is an owner, that owner would contact rescues, shelters and animal control, looking for their lost rabbits. Unfortunately, people do desperate things under desperate situations and for no reason at all. It takes advocacy to awareness to getting these poor dumped bunnies and also piggies off the streets and other places that they are found. We know of Austin, because he puts it out there. Thank you Austin and hope others see this in your area and join you so there are less out and being dumped!
Bless your caring soul
Awe the piggies winking because your there melts my heart 😅
EEEEEEE! He's the cutest little loaf! I'm immediately in love!
That seems to be an amazingly sweet and tame rabbit. I've only ever had one pet rabbit and it was practically wild.
What a sweet little baby! Thank you for saving him.
I saved my neighbors meat rabbit that escaped, and she said “do you want us to take care of it”? ( kill it), and I said “I kind of like it”, so, now I have a rabbit. He is such a sweet rabbit, I can’t believe they would eat such a sweet rabbit. I named him Mr. Bunny. He’s a Rex breed.
Such a sweet guy ❤ I hope he finds a loving forever home who will take great care/do the best they can with him
He just loves those dogs
He most definitely will!
you have totally fallen in love with male rabbits😄 I’m not surprised because they are THE BEST and so loving😍
He looks like a Henry to me. Such a sweet boy ❤
Thank you ❤❤❤
While I agree with most comments of it may be someones pet... at one point sure it was.
But if there's one thing I've learned over the years with guinea pigs and rabbits... is that any time a domestic rabbit or piggy is found outdoors, it's likely due to an abandoned case.
But certainly always do your do diligence in seeing if you can locate the previous owner to find out why and such. Because if it's something as simple as they are struggling to feed the pet, and whatnot maybe you can help out somehow.
The same always goes for cats, dogs any domesticated animal that is found outdoors.
He reminds me ov my own personal bunny she was in such similar of a case and she hey are the same breed I’m so sad that Milo and Vinny can’t have a trio with him that would be so cool to see
You could name him Harry Dubin after the guy that "loves" the RHONY ladies. He is super friendly and a lover...lol!
Or Rocky after Rocky Balboa since he's got 2 black eyes!
I really want another rabbit when I upgrade my current rabbits home, because she has a big-ish pet store cage
Wow another awesome rescue job! Very glad you are helping him. He is super lucky!
He looks like one of your rabbit babies
I work as a vet tech in a municipal shelter. While I’m not animal control I do know our officers can only enforce within lawful boundaries. Definitely let animal control know what’s going on, but they can’t stop breeders usually. In my area breeders can get hobby kennel licenses and keep too many animals within the law. This needs to go to local legislators to change laws to protect bunnies. In my city we have outlawed the sale of rabbits in pet stores, just like dogs and cats. Thanks for your work and care. Slowly but surely we are protecting these amazing small animals.
He is so cute Austin these bunnies are lucky to be in your care ❤😊
The fact that he is dog friendly too?? This is an amazing boy!! 💜🩵🦋🐰🩵💜
He loves that dog lol
I really love all the work you do. Thank you for being so awesome. All your pets are cute!
❤
I've seen 2 different lost rabbits in my neighborhood in just the last month. I've called animal control many times, but I don't know they just suck at their job, or don't care, because I still see them. I have no means of rescuing them myself... Only reasoned I noticed them is because I walk my dog daily, and he noticed the poor bunny on our walk.
I think there’s a backyard rabbit thing going on here and possibly near you. (I’m in the Hamptons, NY.) A lot of people are starting to raise chickens and other stuff for meat since food, especially meat, is getting expensive, so I wouldn’t be surprised if people are either breeding for meat or for money to BUY food at the store.
Raising them for meat was another suspicion of mine as well 😅
He's so sweet and cuuuute oh gosh🥺❤️ I would've named him Oreo
Oh my gosh!! You should adopt him...!!!!
He should be called Bon Bon because he is small and super sweet like a bon bon!
He already has a rabbit pair and 15 animals
found a rabbit on the road in my neighborhood, it ran right up to me and was the sweetest guy ever, I took him in and fed him for a few days and then took him to the human society to see if he’s microchipped/find his owner if lost. no chip. probably dumped really sad, he was an absolute angel and seemed so loved. so sad I dont have the extra money to keep him but I hope he has a good life😢
I wish you could keep him too ❤
He's so cute ❤️
It's called "Chinning". He is marking the things as his.
My aunt rescues rabbits aswell she has a similar cage setup in a big shed in her garden and they get free roam every day like a dog 😅x
Awe Mikey is so sweet
So cute maybe he wasn't dumped. Possibly someone has lost him.
Yeah that's what I think
Look at the pinned comment
I have to warn you, this is how it starts. You start bringing them in from off the street, sometimes right next door to your house, and then you end up with 9 bunnies. I rescued a doe and she had 7 babies less than 12 hours later, plus the first rabbit we rescued off our street from 2 months before that. Mama Bunny and 2 of her daughters still live with me. Thanks for helping this lil dude out.
I meeean you cooooould have had a trio of bunnieees hehe
😮😂
I hope he keeps him!
He already had a rabbit pair and 15 animals.
He looks like a Wilbur
Love what your doing ..Love your channel ..
Thank you so much!
I would love to have that bunny he seems perfect for my bunny
Love bug!!
I hope you guys are able to find a home for him!
Herbie obvi. The love bug lmao
He is so sweet omg
Literally what does animal control do all day? Every case like this ive seen animal control always stays completely silent. Like honestly.
Awe Ryder is a great name
He is likely not itching, he is marking his territory with the scent glands under his chin.
Please keep him !!!!!! I live in Connecticut i wish I could have him ❤
They need to make a law where it's really hard to buy/adopt a rabbit. Especially during Easter it's just ridiculous.
Digger would be a good name. Can you make him a dig box ❤
Aww
He’s sent marketing on the house, one of my rabbits does that on my fingers and licks them
Hi Austin! I love your vids❤️ I was just wondering if you would be willing to make another UA-cam channel? Maybe called the bun room? Thanks and tell you piggies I said hi!!
A part of me wants to suggest you call him Marlon Bundo, because he looks JUST like Marlon Bundo
Oh from home
14:45 vs 7:36 sometimes I wonder if bunnies that are though as domestic should actually be outside with lots of room to explore
He loves you already keep him lol
aaaa omg he's sooo cute 🥰
he's chinning.. that's a form of territory marking
Somewhere in my city there was a rabbit problem where someone dumped some bunnies they bred, then continued breeding and it just was never ending, snd because there was so many rabbits i heard they killed them all😢
Are you located in NJ? I rescued a rabbit. From my brother who got it at a 4h fair. Somewhere near Englishtown, nj. Now a few things. I went to a 4h fair and my vets. Spoke to both the woman at the 4h thinks it may have been a breeder who came there that sold the rabbit. Vet also surprised to see the type of breed as well. Similar eyeliner marking on a white rabbit so it’s either a mix or a big hotoe blanc hotoe. He is an 8 lb male. Vet and 4h all thought how unusual he was the rarely see his breed. So if you’re in that area maybe part of this same breeding group? Our rabbit is 5 years old now was adopted three years ago at the 4h fair. But yea that rabbit looks somewhat similar white rabbit black eyeliner marking. So just watch maybe they do their business at a local 4h fair if you can figure out who is selling and dumping them.
I have to lion heads and I am so happy that you have saved him
He dose like it, he is claiming that house by rubbing his chin on it :) put his smell on it
You should keep him and try to bond with milo and Vinny
Male bonding is very difficult, and bonding 3 rabbits is a hard process. Pairs are more commonly kept because they're easier to monitor.
never been this early before lol
He’s he already adopted? I’m in New Jersey area and happy to spoil him! I didn’t see him on pet finder. So I was wondering. : )
He won’t be listed/available for adoption until he is vaccinated and neutered. You can reach out to Kind Heart Rescue for more information on when he will be ready ❤
He wants to
Hang out with the cool doggy lol
Why do you immediately decide that it’s been dumped and not lost?
The guy who caught the rabbit put up flyers around the town for a week to try and locate the rabbits owner, but had no one reach out. Also, like I had mentioned, this is a huge issue we are currently facing in my town. People are dumping rabbits every week! 😅 It’s 99% of the time a dumped case and not a lost pet.
When I was a child my dad had a coworker who had rabbits and he swore they had babies every other Thursday lol this was the 80s. We don’t gotta live like that anymore 😢
Do u sell the toys to the uk yet
4:55 for a second I thought that the piece of hay that’s stuck between his paws was on my phone and try to blow on it to get it off and now I’m feeling kinda dumb 😂😂
it’s so sad that people dump animals do they not feel bad it’s really not that hard to take an animal to the shelter
