I can't get enough of this clip. I love the hard rock version of "We Built This City On Rock 'n' Roll" and I love the little dance the woman does right before they fight back with "We're Not Gonna Take It". Awesome!
Sebastian Bach, Debbie Gibson and Nuno Bettencourt reliving what actually happened in the 1980's with Tipper Gore and the Parents Music Resource Center.
Idk know who is watching this in 2020 but this is the perfect scene to describe the younger generations anarchist attitude of "we built this city" vs The Karens stuck up tantrum of "we're not gonna take it" and i think that beautiful.
it happend in Real Life and it was called "Parents Music Resource Center", a committee full of Karens.. Dee Snider of Twisted Sister did a awesome speech. "We're Not Gonna Take It" was on the list for "Violence"
I love how all the overprotective women are saying how Metal is evil and yet they sing a Metal song. Forget televangelists, now this is definition of hypocrisy.
I mean. Just look at the scene. The women are the ones saying horrid rhetoric, the rockers have no signs are just speaking the truth, they don't need to fear monger. But the women had to stoop to their level to even try and keep up. Its solid filmmaking.
I watched this movie this year after years of hating it and I have to say, apart from how horribly miscast Diego Boneta is, the movies hold up pretty well. A true love letter to the 80's Glam scene.

The irony of this scene is that the protesters use rock to fight rock
Fighe fire with fire 🤷♂️
No, the irony is you felt the need to point out the irony, when the irony was intended all along. Its a comedy musical ffs.Loosen up
And do it far better , sorry twisted sister vs Starship, one of the squarest bands of the 80's? really?
@@dene39 The irony is the movie supposed to be comedy but you taking it seriously.Come on

We Built This City was considered an embarrassment when it came out, but here it is being celebrated!
Embarrassment? Didn't it reach the Top 10?
I remember. Especially the part when it gives the weather for San Francisco. It was just another one of "those" songs.

I saw Joel Hoekstra, Sebastian Bach, Kevin Cronin and Debbie Gibson
On the rock side I saw the lead singer of Skid Row, The drummer for Queens and Debbie Gibson

Rock of ages movie year NBC 2024 1:10 😭
The guy In the blonde hair he’s was on Gilmore girls (gil) I think
I remember this noviembre. It was boring noviembre the only thing great is the music.
Is anyone else offended by the WASPs using We're Not Gonna Take It as their reaction? That song is diametrically opposed to everything they stand for.
It’s not supposed to be offensive, it’s supposed to be ironic. Being amused is a much better response than being offended.
No, because this movie is supposed to be a joke. And their protest is supposed to be ironic.
I mean. Just look at the scene. The women are the ones saying horrid rhetoric, the rockers have no signs are just speaking the truth, they don't need to fear monger. But the women had to stoop to their level to even try and keep up. Its solid filmmaking.

So it's normal people vs the Karens of the world
There not gonna take it yet they are singing a rock song
Does nobody feel bad for the tv reporter guy
It’s the Karen’s vs rock fans
Zeta jones still has the hottest mad face on the planet
Russell Brand is so over sexed it's unbelievable.
This scene made me hate both of these songs from this point forward....
This movie is an embarrassment to all of the music in it.
