Love catching big cats when I'm bass fishing. My PB flat head came in a kayak bass tournament on a tube.
The catfish sure do run. I spent a week and half at Clearlake in July and spent a lot of time fishing at our dock. During that time we caught the same catfish about 15 times. He had a big gash across his head and weighed 12.8 lbs. He was fun every time we reeled him in.
Nice slap down on the 13" lol. Its those cat like reflexes why you caught the cats.

I was fishing Clear Lake the same weekend as your tournament, and I kept hooking up with catfish too. I was catching them on the LV500 of all things.

Next time fish as many docks as you can, I have always gotten good results. Clear lake has lots of huge fish. I fished a three day tournament there years ago two of the days it snowed, six fish were weighed in with over 300 boats and under ten pounds won the tournament. Only one boat had two fish, they won. Thousands of fish died from that storm. Crazy

Hey Greg good video enjoy the extra footage of the catfish they can give you a pretty good tug! When you are in that area where you were seeing all the bait fish do you ever use a Fluke? I don't recall seeing you use one but then again I may be forgetting an episode or two. When I get into bait like that I tend to throw a fluke and sometimes a small paddle tail. Just a thought.

Hey Greg do you know Damien? He fished this tournament with you. His channel was a big reason I got into bass fishing (used to exclusively fish for trout). Would love to see you guys hook up and fish the delta or even Eastman if you wanted to make your way to that side of California. Anyway I know you got your team and schedules but just a thought. Might help introduce more to his channel.

Who put the 🍌 s in ur kayak. Well it shows you that soft parabolic chatterbait rod came into affect with that fish that hit you almost as you pulled the blade ait out for next cast. AWESOME Greg. Pitch those weed beds with a craw or ur rage menice.
Catching bass is always good but when you hook up a 35-40lb cat, it’s a rush.
