I love it when you stop and describe the ride with your cell phone. It makes it more personal than the other hammer head youtubers who try to rake the extreme miles following extreme riders. You have a nice and unique way of reporting your outings. And the map is a nice touch. 👍👍👍
Lucky Francisco, I miss living in Vegas sometimes...especially meow that I'm into MTBing. Confession, I had to google Holly Holm, the name rung a bell but couldn't quite put my finger on it. 💪🏼
Nice ride...seems like fun trail. Tho I hate out an backs that looked ok. Also another new bike? I love Giant bikes. My go to bike now is the the new short travel Trance 29. I have the 2019 model but dang the new 2020 is carbon. Anyway...lets ride soon.
Bo Rogers hey! Not a new bike. Got this one back in 2017 (my first real bike). My Intense is being worked on up in Idaho and I didn’t have the new bike yet 🤫. 😂 Haven’t rode a Trance yet but I enjoy the Anthem 2! And YES we need to ride again, soon!
Oakley Flak 2.0 XL, Matte Black Frame with Prizm Black Iridum Lens (prescription). Love the glasses and also love being able to see the trail. My depth perception and long distance is not great (especially Depth perception). Glad you liked the trail, it's a fun grind up (if you go the way I did). I've heard the gate has been removed and replaced with a fence (or continuance of the already present fence). I believe you should still be able to access it from the Cowboy trail network, though not sure if it's considered legal now??
Thanks! I was looking at the Flak 2 just the other day, but was undecided on lenses. Was leaning toward the Trail Torch but like the color of your lens more. I’ve heard there are issues with that trail, and that the new gate is of questionable legality, that perhaps a private party put it up to make it look official. I’m trying to confirm either way.
I've heard similar things. It probably has something to do with what's going on across that little canyon area (what the trail overlooks), there were TONs of trucks going in and out of there hauling dirt or whatever...i remember noticing only because I was impressed at how fast they were driving LOL
Agreed. I’m not a fan of reddish tint, definitely prefer the grays/blues. I also like that you can get them with prescription lenses. Guess it’s time to order up!
I really liked this video...that trail looked amazingly fun! The Giant is sweet. I would love to have that. Although your Intense is pretty cool! Love the gloves. How hot was it the day you filmed this? Vegas is notorious for scorching heat.
Thanks!!! The Giant is a great XC bike! That day it was probably close to 100 (I rode early in the morning). It's even hotter where I live (Lake Havasu) and we have our NICA Program for the kids MTB Team, I help coach and we're all riding in 112+ temps for practice...brutal but man the kids have fun!
I don't know... looked kind boring to me, but GoPro video can do that sometimes. Do you have a wind sock over your GoPro? If not, it's a great investment. Thanks!
Outback Wack I could see where it’d appear that way. Not every trail will be for everyone. I really enjoyed it and think it’d be great for someone looking to get in a quick, fun and fairly safe ride...especially Solo. Menny Thanks (which is right there) is supposedly closer to an upper blue/lower black trail. Mostly want to document any trail I ride so that others can find it when they’re researching trails to ride. I have some dead cats / wind buffers on but apparently they’ve failed me. I’ll be trying something else (doesn’t do anything for the videos I’ve already recorded though 😩). Hope you’re feeling better and not getting overheated out there!
@@RCRGIRL Very good point and reason! You ride WAY more than I do, and I'm stuck down here riding the same old trails :-( I wish I could go someplace for a day or 5 and just ride...but...happy wife, happy life they say!
AS the saying goes right?!? (Happy Wife/Life) At least you live in a pretty cool place (you know what i mean hahaha) good options within 30-60 minutes. (especially in the winter time). Hoping I can sneak in some rides down there this winter! You're awesome, always enjoy your feedback!
Your videos provide us newbies with the confidence we need to tackle some of the more 'easier' trails. Looking forward to others. Thank you.
That's so awesome to hear (read)!! Ride bikes and have fun, that's the magic sauce!

Thanks for the awesome feedback Stephan! I'll keep doing my best! 🙌🏼
Vegas resident, just got into mtb. Nice to have Holly Holm showing me the trails!

Wow you weren't kidding!
Sometimes everything comes together on a ride and it feels perfect. This was one of those rides. Thanks Donna, I always look forward to your videos.
Jeffery you're so right, so days are just perfect! Thanks so much for the kudos, always makes my day!

Haven’t ridden that one yet, but will now! Also, what glasses/lenses are you using? Thanks!

Forgot to mention...I love the color of my Lens. They're a great middle ground, not too dark and not too light. Plus I like the way they look :)

I love riding with you
What GPS are you using?
Sig Pilot I’ve got the stages Dash mounted up in the handlebars. I recently switched it out for their newer model they just released.
