My favorite trail, I usually park by Blue Diamond town at Mcghies bike shop. Then its all climbing to 3 miles smile but the downhill is sweet all the way back to town. About 23 miles loop.
Can't wait to explore this area more! Really loved that 3 mile smile and just that whole section up above Badgers. Also liked the sections out towards Ducky and the little town right there. Very cool!
Just did that yesterday Rule. Best way to do it! It is a long climb but nothing too bad until you get to 3 Mile Smile. I walk most of it. =D But the downhill down to Bluediamond? Wow! All downhill fun!
You have some amazing MTB trails near you then my friend. Super jealous as I've fallen in love with them. I grew up in Vegas and can't believe I never got into MTBing. Hoping to make it out there again soon! What's your favorite trail out there in Blue Diamond?
Wow! Thanks for video! Looks like a great and fun trail! Just completed Landmine loop myself. First time on a bike in over 25 years. It was such an amazing trail. Took a dive about four times. Lots of rocks, pointy ones! But the trail was absolutely fun. Wouldn't recommend for a beginner like myself. At least not until you learn some basics in MTBing. My chain released and I didn't know how to put it back on! It was so simple! Another rider helped out. Very nice people on the trail as well - everyone was very friendly. I like the trail in this video - doesn't look as rocky as Landmine.
Ghosty, glad you had a good time on Landmine despite the struggles. It'll make a trail like this one, that much easier! I think you'll LOVE three mile smile. That's awesome and cool that someone was able to help get you rolling again, one of the best things about MTBing...the community! Go get you some 3 mile smile, also the Beginner/Mustang loop out there is another good one!
@@RCRGIRL Thank you Donna! I've been buying all the gear. New dropper, saddle, pedals, knee guards, shorts, undies, gloves, and now to find me some good shoes. Can't wait for Sat and Sun! I'll be out there all day! ha ha. Yes, the MTBing community - everyone was so courteous and friendly. Very thoughtful people.
I know right Dan? ....it's starting to look like I have someone else's hands LOL... Looks like I'll get to experience some tree riding over the summer (cedar city and Tahoe trips are planned...around my atv races of course).
There are no bad trails in Blue Diamond. Love the Hurl and Inside Hurl, but at 65, my lungs won’t ever get me there again on the bike (I hike them). Check out the Cowboy trails just a few minutes down the road too (where the horseback riding sign is). Magnificent views on the top. My generation wasn’t very good at getting women riders off their road bikes and into mtb’g (fear of falling). You should be more successful leading by example. Best of luck in your video publishing endeavours. It’s important to provide examples for little ones like my 5 year old granddaughter. Keep up the good work.
I couldn't agree more with showing others, especially girls of all ages, that it is something that everyone can do...just at varying degrees of difficulty. There are so many trails out there for all skill levels too and well marked! I'm not sure how much riding I'd have done in the beginning without the Trailforks app, it has been a significant part of my progression with MTBing, just by being confident that I know where I'm at on the trails. Hope your granddaughter grows to love riding her bike and knowing she's capable of anything...love seeing kiddos out exploring and riding their bikes!
So many to choose from. This one is good for fast fun flow. Bears best has some fun options. Any of the trails out that way. If you’re looking for a bit more chunk you can go out towards the Cowboy trails network with trails like kibbles n bits and bkneshaker. If you want some gnarlier chunk you can drive a bit further and hit up bootleg. Though I believe they have a race going on this coming weekend, so that might not work depending on when you’ll be there.
It's been so long since I used it I'm trying to remember the brand. It was solid, no movement and I even had a couple OTBs and no issues though I did crack the screen protector on my phone. (I think it was called LifeProof Bike Phone Mount)
Thanks Hour9! I have the LifeProof LifeActiv Bike mount but I've also added an extender (I originally got it for my light but really liked having my phone centered rather than on one side of the handlebars...gotta love OCD). The extender I got off of Amazon for like $6 and the phone mount is extremely discounted on REI, last I checked it was around $12. I've crashed with it a couple times and it hasn't budged! I also run one of those glass protector things on my phone (that did crack when I had a bad crash but the phone screen itself was perfect underneath it...). I think I might put together a video explaining my setup and provide links for the different pieces....make it easier for anyone who is curious. :)
Hey thought I'd let you know that I went ahead and put together a video going over the phone mount since there's been a lot of interest in it. If you want to check it out here's the link :) ua-cam.com/video/mTi8wi3RYAs/v-deo.html
Add a couple more miles to that loop and hit Viagra, then loop around the hill and head up back to the trailhead It’s well worth the extra 20 minutes. The turn off is the first trail marker when you’re heading down to the trailhead from the upper tunnel. The sign is on the ground and hard to see.
Viagra is part of the Beginner Loop according to Trailforks. Although you'll want to ride it clockwise, not counter clockwise as listed on Trail Forks. Last time I was out there it was marked with a small wooden sign.

Wonderful to see more and more women conquering the trails. I live 15 mins from Blue Diamond, where there are countless great rides.

Fun trail. Some bumps and turns and even...trees?? Must get massive tan lines riding in Nevada.

Love your videos! What cell phone holder are you using? It looks so stable! Thanks!

Another great ride! What gimbal is that?
Matthew it's the EVO SS Gimbal :)
Take a left next time and send it into next week 🤘🤘
Next time! 🙌🏼
I was flying down this trail, think I hit 25 at one point
It's so open to speed HAHA. I need to go back and hit this one again.
Keep the videos coming! What mount are you using for your phone?

Looks fun! Thanks man. Is it on Trailforks? I guess I could just go look and quit being lazy HAHA.
