Being in the military. We do not need money, we have benefits that far exceed the average civilian. And she even knew the guy behind it and he still got her in a scam, I think these people like the intrigue and to be wanted because I've known parents for example who complain about helping their adult kids and then the kids get it together and the parent still insists on giving them money even when they no longer asks and don't wanna be in that type of situation anymore and so it made me think of these romance scams because it's hard to understand it and then I saw how fellow parents friends of mine did this with their adult children so I think they feel special and needed when their adult kid says they really need that 200 bucks to make the rent and so I thought that that's what's happening in the romance scams
