I'm a calm person, and when it comes to jumpscares I hardly react, but if a spider were to crawl on me, I would shake them off in instinct, all while letting out a big yelp, kudos to you for keeping your cool despite getting bit.
Make a small shed outside the house and keep them there. My family doesn't like lizards the size of a small dog so I got a greenhouse so they chill and eat there and grow the food there as well.

Thanks for posting your comment about everyone thinking you are nuts! I was a severe arachnaphobe until a year ago and now I’m loving caring for and observing my tarantulas but everyone but a very few think I’m bonkers. I’m glad I’m not the only one.🎉🎉😂

@@laurafranco7408 Used to be horrible with my acrophobia as a kid. One day I was playing in my “Fort” and saw a spider covering the door out. I chose to run through a wall… 😂 Anyways, now I’m much better and I want to get into Tarantula keeping now. =]

I’m 40 now. I was a severe arachnophobe until about 2020, and I slowly warmed up to spiders in general through the countless wolf spiders in my back yard. My family and friends all think I’m nuts too that I want to start a T collection. Man, at this point, I can even easily sound off a top 10 of Ts I definitely want in my collection - that’s how deep it’s gotten. Most may think you’re crazy, but you know there’s a community of us out there who appreciate these critters.

Gosh, they're so flipping fast! I love all animals Including spiders but if I were a bug I'd be absolutely terrified of spiders. Spiders are probably very gruesome predators in the insect life

So how are you doing after that first bite? I was a bit less lucky, and my first bite was by juvenile hamorii that not only bitten my finger, but also latched to it, and it took few minutes to remove her without harming the spider, lol

Im surprised, they are so tiny and i never expected them to be able to penetrate skin at this tiny size.

They were DEFINITELY eating each other, my smallest P. irminia sac was 88.
After watching this video, I think it's safe to say that none of those baby T's missed leg day 😂. I know I should be concerned about the bite, but I have no idea at what age they develop their venom. It seems at that age you should be safe, at least till they get older, of course.
The vast majority of tarantulas have weak venom. Pretty much harmless to humans in most instances. There are always exceptions of course
Babies are also born with venom, same thing as snakes, through countless generations of diet and evolution.
MOST Humans also produce for example: Insulin the instant they are born or even beforehand in the egg. Same thing for spiders, although I’m sure their ‘venom glands’ wouldn’t be that big or be able to hold much, but they exist.
@@bitemyshinymetalfoot these are P. Irminia slings im not sure bout the babies but full grown adults can give you a nasty bite its the only new world tarantula that has a pretty painful bite. in most cases you’ll be fine but you still dont wanna get bit by one of these beauties haha

After all this time I still don't understand why you don't use a lil tripod for your phone so you can use both hands for these thing's. Can show them off and get close ups when you've got them in their own cups. Just seems like it'd make things easier.

Just a thought, wouldn't it be a bit safer to buy a very large tub and stick the enclosure into it when doing things like this? While your eyes on a baby running halfway across the room what's to say another doesn't do a runner out the viv at the other end? Or what if two+ ran opposite directions ? At least when you're alone. Might be easier grab off of a tub side to as opposed to under some cardboard 😜
