My female Ceratogyrus darlingi (Rear Horned Baboon) doesn’t look to be doing very well. This video was filmed a while back and I was wondering what caused her to be like this. I’m now getting the idea that it’s from the crickets she ate. I will film a video explaining that in the near future. I’ve lost a few other spiders from the same cause, and videos of them will be uploaded. I never knew the cause of it but now that I think of it, I’m quite positive it’s the crickets. I’ve completely stopped using crickets as feeders as of today.

I had a tarantula when I was in junior high. People think they’re horrible but mine wasn’t. She was actually a sweet little girl who liked to hang out and watch tv with me. I would sit on the floor with my knees pulled up in front of me and she would climb up my leg and sit on my knee facing the tv. I have no idea how much she could actually see, but she’d stay there as long as I did. I still have a soft spot for spiders. Whenever I find one in my house, I relocate it back outside. Rest In Peace pretty girl.

Tarantulas usually don't die after laying eggs. I feel this is more of a parasite or fungus issue. They where both in contact with eachother at one point and time and they both died. I am so sorry for your loss.
It was a parasite. The male gave it to her. Almost as if it was an STD for spiders. It's horrible when you lose a pet

I've lost a couple of pets (dogs, birds, turtles. Mostly due to old age, or my dad giving them away). My family wouldn't let me get one tarantula even if I lived in another country.

Hello! Arachnologist here. That "white thingy" you seen, is actually a parasite that was given to her undetected by the male after mating. You can call it an "STD" for spiders. That is what caused the seizure and sudden death of this poor tarantula
That makes me so sad. Ive been watching this youtubers video because i have severe arachnophobia, but im trying. A pet is a pet. 😢

Exactly, I bought some mice that was bred to be fed as snake food, looked like they gave us one that shouldn't of left yet, it died during the first night and they couldn't sex them Stephen they replaced the one that died I ended up with a female and a male(luckily I had two cages) last November a few months after we got them the female had a fit one weekend she managed to survive it but during the following week she had another fit and it was fatal, I may of not had her long but it was still upsetting to lose her. R.I.P. Wadanohara.

Well, good for you.Ts are animals. And of course, when we lose one of them, we get sad. Some of them actually have funny personalities, and that makes it even harder to watch them go...My first one ( all Grammostola) was a very food-responding one, that made a big mess of taking her prey back to her little entrance! :-D She stored/hoarded them there, and at some point, there was no more room for HER! BUT..: She MADE a GORGEOUS web after I cleaned out her old one! My second one kind of had an elegant style to everything..: She made her molting bed kind of away from sight, and took her prey gently and kept everything rather clean around her.My third one was more aggressive, and didn´t like it, when I gave her water. She was also very skittish. When I tell my mom, that even spiders have different personalities, she looks at me, like I am a regular nutcase! LOL! But we spider people know, what this is all about.

Not sure if you're joking but, spiders don't really have proper brains, they cannot write things in their webs, they cannot speak to eachother, their really just like any other bug. Tarantulas and spiders make webs just because it's what they do by nature. It's regular for spiders to lay eggs, let them hatch and die so the babies can eat their corpse. That's why in the video she died in the ''nest''

Blood because tarantula blood is white

It sucks man, this is pretty common because the Ceratogyrus genus doesn't live long.
If you check the description he said that the reason she passed was from the crickets she ate, they were infected with something idk what but when she ate the cricket and she got sick, so she went. Hopefully she went painless.

Of course, without a proper dissection, we can't know for certain.

One day i just woked up and go to see her and... She was not moving like usually, she died like 15 minutes later... I still having one of her fungs... (she was one of my first pets) :'(. The fact that this man risked himself to check on his tarantula by picking her up barehanded is just beyond brave and selfless.
Just watching her drag herself around and just lay on the ground breaks my heart. She was clinging on to her last strings of life just pulling herself around, probably had no idea what she was even doing.
I think she died from infection, that white liquid on her legs seemed like it.

And she couldn't exist because they have a different "nervous system" than our typical one. Animals can tell the difference when something's wrong why they react. So any animal's reaction and reflexes wouldn't be possible if they couldn't detect danger. So stop to lol about basic biology and laugh somewhere else your arse off. This reminds me of my dead cat, my cat named smokey was laying on my bed with his tongue licking trying to breath and while he was licking his tongue got bluer and bluer me being the positive one in my family I said he was okay and that he will breath and hang in there until vets opened and then, he just went and I was screaming and crying ( it was 3:34 am ) because he was my favourite cat I have ever had and I have had a lot of cats and today I have his brother 1 year later. Rip you will be missed I love you and you ur here with me in my heart ( I also buried him in my garden p, which is illegal here)

I absolutely hate H.A.T.E. spiders but as it is a living creature, I don't want one to suffer before it dies. Regardless of what kind of animal we have has as part of our family, we all mourne their passing. I am truly sorry for your loss. 😔😢 💔
