The terms "Bleeding" and Feathering" are not the same. Bleeding is where the ink goes through the paper so it can be seen on the other side. Feathering is what you are referring to in this video.

thats the common definition in penworld nowadays but i've always thought of what is now feathering as "bleeding" before i got into it. Necropost but whatever, my point is it's fine...it describes it well enough.

Why use the cartridge ink with parallel pens if it feathers? With silicone grease on the threads, parallel pens work fine if you remove the cartridge and fill the barrel with an ink of your choice. You can also use the parallel pen as a dip pen.

"Depending on where you live" - exactly... Luckily, Rhodia dot pads are available everywhere in my country (EU), but I can't for the life of me find a blank pad. Most shops sell the lined and grid ones, idk why (maybe they think it's for school? lol). Some websites list them as "Clairfontaine Rhodia", I assume the Clairfontaine you show here is the same quality paper. Btw I'm using it for pointed pen calligraphy. It's truly a pleasure to work on. I wish it was available in A4 blank blocks :S Not to mention that a slightly tinted one would be great for elegant invitations. Hey, one can dream... :)

I noticed that you are using a parallel pen, Which does not have the heavier body of ink as with a dip pen for broadstroke calligraphy. Can you recommend any paper for DIP pens" used with India Inks , Dr. PH Martins India Inks, that won't warp or bleed? In my experience using dip pens and India Ink on Clairefoatin has proven unsuccessful as the paper buckles. Any other commenters welcomed here

Often I am finding paper mentioned in standard Calligraphy and Brush Art are not available in the UK and if you can get it is very expensive which when you are unable to work is not within your budget. Has anyone found any reasonable priced alternatives

The particular Pilot Parallel she's using has a 6.0mm nib; it is really big and empties ink onto paper really fast. They come in 1.5mm, 2.4mm, 3.8mm, and 6.0mm
