Thank you for teaching me. I am designing a similar pen to 3d print. This will help me make a template to cut nibs. I will be making it as a dip pen that way I can use any ink i want, and this helps me understand this pen. It seems like the nib is designed with the 2 plates to keep ink from getting on the nib itself as the way you hold the pen is most of the job. I just need a specifically cut peice of metal for a diy nib for a dip pen varient. Besides, I want to use this with an oblique nib holder as well because it might be easier

Just got my set yesterday. It seems that the feed can't keep up because it stops writing. How would you remedy this? Add water?
Hi I was curious if you have ever used the parallels as a dip pen with India inks . And you experience si you had with cleaning consistent flow, kinks in the ink(ink blobs)?
I'll get this particular pen not for calligraphy though I might do that in the future. The reason I'll get this pen is I want to be able to write music and this is the type loosest thing I could get to a music nib in my opinion.

Thank you so much for watching :) Yes, Gouache can be used. I have talked about that in the video too. Just don't refill your pen with gouache. Rather, dip the nib in gouache and use it :)

Yes you can. Dip the nib in pigmented ink on the palette to use. Never refill your pen with pigmented ink. That's what I have told in the video too.

Thank you so much :) Yes, you can use shimmer inks. However, I'd recommend to not fill the cartridge with these inks. That's because the shimmer pigments might get stuck in the mechanism of the pen. And, would become a pain to remove if the ink dries inside.
Rather, you can use it like a dip pen. It means that you can dip the nib of your Pilot Parallel Pen in the nib and write with it. Also, make sure you clean the nib at regular intervals to make sure no particle is stuck inside.

Hey Gopi. Calligraphy is the art of 'drawing' letters. Whereas, handwriting is a way of day-to-day communication. In my experience, practising calligraphy does not have any direct correlation to your handwriting.
