Nice video. Thank you for making sure the view of each process was clear an unobstructed. Too many similar videos on UA-cam where the camera is out of focus or the person has their hands in the way. I have been considering working on a Marauder I have in my shop and this video has convinced me to go forward with those plans. Thanks

If i’m understanding you correctly, the transfer port provided in the “Hill Max Power High Performance Matched Parts Kit for Benjamin PCP Rifles” (Look it up on his sight) will only need to be drilled on the breach side ... on the air chamber / valve side is already ready set to the proper diameter. The Hill valve is made for the Hill transfer port tube.No need to slot the hole any thing in the TP, I’d follow his instructions! His kit provides the brill bit & small ball hone.Tell Tim Hill you won’t need the high volume gauge port if you going to use a Huma regulator with the a built in gauge port, this puts the kit cost just owner $200. Yes I have already bought all the things from Tim Hill except the Huma Reg but I have this also. What I meant was the air hole in the barrel itself. The barrel should match the TP or fairly close.

There no air hole in the barrel... the TP inters in to the breach and the barrel inserts into the breach. The breach is bored to 3/16” bit provided i the Hill kit, other than that you have the air striper attached to the end of the barrel that allows air to exit into the shroud and reduce the sound.

Great Info... but the music basically ruined it for me. Makes it hard to hear what you're saying at times AND makes it hard to focus and comprehend everything you say. Music is just a unneeded distraction. Thanks for the Info tho...

Do you have any preference between regulator brands? I am not planning on getting a regulator till Spring or Summer for my Synrod .22 as I want to learn this rifle as stock, so I have a baseline to compare before I start any modifications.

Will do...thanks! Done sort of the same thing to a couple of discovery rifles, but disassembly and reassembly looks much simpler as far as parts alignment goes on these.
WOW...that is impressive data. Were you happy with the results? I have a .177 Marauder that I plan on installing a slug barrel for long range shooting. Did you use the same reservoir? I plan on using a aluminum shroud and reservoir to complete my project now that both are available. Great tutorial, thank you.

I am getting ready to do the exact same thing with the exact same parts. I need to order the hone 1st and thanks for mentioning the grit you used. The only thing I did not see you do was match the barrel to the new TP. Did you use the 3/16 bit on it also. Some have mentioned using a smaller bit and making a slot of sorts to decrease the pellet contact width.

@@tabstiles6890 Thanks for the reply...no way Hill airgun deosnt ship in Italy...i dont understand how to upgrade my Armada .177 with a new valve a new transfer port and a new spring for hammer. I have bought the huma the same as yuor (for the .25) because huma told me that for the slugs i shoot (NSA 18 gr) is better the volume of the .25 one. here in Italy or Europe seems impossible to buy anything to upgrade and nobody from USA seems to shiop to Italy...very SAD
wow i just bought the same regulator for .25 marauder gen 2 hopefully it gets at least 3 magazine worth of consistent shots :D
The regulator is a great start..... You should get 3 mag easy with the factory hammer, hammer spring and valve. You will have some air loss due to hammer bounce. Try setting the regulator to 138 bar.. 1950 psi. and open the valve all the way ( see the owners manual) Enjoy the experience!
I'm following your video and doing this on a .25 Marauder.
So currently I have:
Light weight hammer
JS balanced valve
Tim's High flow TP
Shooting JSB 25.4 Grn.
Do I need to open up my TP hole with the drill bit to the chamber?
You have the HUMA guaged reg.
I don't know if I should go that route or the HPP reg without a guage?

If using a hill transfer port I believe so.. contact In his uses the standard gasket. When I did mine it was a poly tube now they are machined aluminum.
I’m using a Huma gauged regulator .. I like it it lets me know when my plenum psi has fallen to low.

Great video, had a question about the reg and plenum, which has its own threaded hole for the pressure gauge. You have to line up the reg/plenum assembly so that the pressure gauge hole will line up with the pressure gauge hole in the pressure tube, but the breathe hole in the reg also has to point up toward the barrel. Did you make sure of this, or did it just point in the correct direction by coincidence, or what? I'm doing the same build you've done here...many thanks!

I suspect this video is mainly noted for entertainment purposes. Average air gunners may find this over their heads. If not more power to ya.
you're not able to follow the instructions? dissasemble, replace old parts with new parts, re-assemble... the hardest part is drilling the 3/16 hole or possibly honing the cylinder because most people don't have a cylinder hone, and i suspect the pay off/reward for honing is negligble and not worth the money tbh
Looks like You wiped out the muzzle end of the air tube with Denatured (why) but when you polished the valve end with mineral oil you didn't clean that out 1:15 vs 1:30?

Like the looks of the Armada 100% better than the marauder...but from what I can gather is no hammer spring adjustment can be made without removing the stock...if I want less shots/more power with the JSB 34 grains...much of an issue for you?
Yes... Armada the hammer adjustment is done with but stock removed, not as easy... Yes...fewer shot with JSB heavy’s may be 30 depending on the FPS probably around 800 maybe a little more and you would have 48 FPE.
Just thinking out loud... with the Hill system there is only one spring adjustment, it’s much simpler...no air valve adjustment, that been taken out of the mix.

Hi! Awesome video, I just got my Armada yesterday and its incredibly underpowered, it will barely do 740 fps on 14.3 gr pellets and the adjustments are maxed out, is that normal?
What caliber pellet! 17, 22,25 … you should be able to get much more than that.
the breech of the 25-gauge armada works the same in the 25 gauge marauder
They are the same Air Rifle different stock. So The answer to you question is “Yes.”

Nice video. Did you use the stock hammer spring with the lightweight hammer? How many turns in on the hammer spring for that string?
No it’s the Hill High performance kit, the spring I received was the 262 spring. Tim Hill says “The 262 hammer spring works better than the 10.5 and 12.5 if you are wanting a debounce effect”.
I adjusted the hammer spring to get 858 fps. This set up only has a hammer spring adjustment, all the other adjustments areas have been eliminated, except adjusting the regulator set point. That what’s wonderful about this setup..., it simple and fast to adjust. 1/4 allen is all that’s needed to increase or decrease the fps.
I’m not sure the exact turns, you’ll need a chronograph to get an accurate setup. You should also break in new regulators by shooting at least 150-200 shots before you do your start looking at a string then make your final adjustment.

My Armada is a 3000 psi / 206 bar max fill...so yes you fill to the max.

Mine is Tim Hills older style. .160ID I think it a PVC water line. Tim now make them .161 and they are aluminum and have seal. It about $25. Go with it!

When the regulator is fitted, the tank can be filled up to 300 bar. ?

I’m not sure what you are asking, it doesn’t have a stock regulator... why you wanting to drill a hole??? No drilling should ever be necessary.

I bought a Marauder last summer. I love the gun but this summer it has become inconsistent in it shots. I get about 20 out of 40 on target but the other 20 are flyers.
This is making me sad. Do you have any advice about what could have happened? I take good care of it and keep it clean.

@@tabstiles6890 I will check the barrel. Yes wind is a constant thing in Wyoming. But I noticed this when shooting in my indoor range. At 50 and 75 feet. Not sure about pellets speed .

Check you speed if its above 900 FPS it can cause accuracy issues shooters discovered that the diabolo shape is not well-suited to flight in the transonic or supersonic region. The fact that the pellet remains at this high velocity for only a few yards makes no difference. The damage was done. The extreme buffeting caused when the pellet reaches and passes transonic speed, then slows back down and goes through it again is more than enough to destabilize it and cause groups to open.
Do you have a chronograph?
These guns, from my very limited understanding, tend to shoot quite differently depending on the air pressure. Are you perhaps landing your best 20 in your ideal pressure range, with the flyers being too high and/or too low? I've read many reviews, for instance, that say the gun performs best at 2100 to 2500, as far as accuracy goes...
could i pay to have the modifications done to my .22 Marauder pistol, i have little function to my hands so this would be very difficult

Yes it’s was just for demonstration... you are correct. and it tajes longer also.
I home inspect them hone more if it’s not shiny snd smooth.

That music was VERY distracting and awful and unnecessary.
Only way to modify music it is to delete the video! Don’t have the original video without sound. On a mobile device the music is not as bad as on a computer. So the option is to completely delete it.
