Hi, I’m pleased you have enjoyed the video. The filters usual are a different fitting or seal at each end, which as I recall would be the same on this filter. Installing the filter incorrect will probably not seal allowing oil to leak past the seal and consequently not filtering the oil. 😊👍
Hi, the engine oil used on the particular model is Mannol Energy Premium Fully Synthetic SAE 5W 30. It is on the video and there is a link in the description. Make sure you order the correct oil for your vehicle especially if there is a slight model difference from the car in the video. Hope this helps. 🙂👍
I'm considering a purchase from the Audi Approved Plus team in India - it's an Audi Q3 2013 Premium Plus Diesel model. However, I've come across a few concerns: the vehicle has a steering box issue, lapsed insurance, and tyres that are about 50-60% worn. I'm particularly keen on understanding the implications of the steering box problem. Could you provide any insights or perhaps an estimate on the cost of a new steering box assembly for this model? Your guidance would be invaluable as I navigate this potential purchase.
Hi, I’m honestly not sure how much of a problem the steering rack problems are, although obviously an issue for some people. In terms of cost there are a lot for sale second hand to refurbished and new. Here in the uk it looks like you can get a good refurbished rack for around £500 to £600. Looks like a 2 to 4 hour job for install followed by re tracking the steering. So if you factor this in to your purchase you may be ok. Hope this helps. 🙂👍
Hi, I can’t be 100% sure as it is 3 years younger than this car. But if yours is the same car with the 2.0 litre TDI engine there is a good chance it is. The oil filter is on the top of the engine so if you remove the cover and compare yours with this one you should able to tell. I hope this helps. 🙂👍
Hi John, it is 4.6 litres for this particular car. (make sure you check your particular model it may be different, but just add oil until it’s on the maximum mark on the dipstick). I thought I’d mentioned it in the video but must have forgotten. Thanks for highlighting it, I’ll add the the video description. 🙂👍
If your engine is making a noise there is certainly an issue. Firstly is the oil level on the maximum. When you start the engine does the oil light go out. I would check something isn’t catching around the pulley area. If you are in doubt that the engine has oil pressure I wouldn’t run the engine anymore and get a mechanic to investigate. Hope you get the issue sorted.

Hello, thank you for this video. What is the risk of putting the oil filter in the wrong direction?

Hi, i have the same car but 2017 is the oil filter in the same place?

No. Its underneath the engine. You have to remove the undertray to gain access to it just like this video.
