Using the T27 Torx for the oil drain plug is a such an underrated hack! Used it on my Q3's first oil change with no problems. Time for another oil change and I couldn't remember which bit to use, had to find your video again 😂.
Great info for all, very well-done video. Just a note for all. If you have a 1 1/4 inch socket it will work fine and no need to go get a 32 MM socket. 32 MM = 1.2598"
Good tip! On the up side, it's plastic and requires very low torque. I would imagine, being a euro vehicle, they wouldn't have used an imperial measurement
Oil level sensor may indicate a problem, check the dipstick to be sure. While stationary, you can scroll through the infotainment menu to vehicle settings and click reset service interval
I found these that are similar on Amazon, the ones we have are factory accessories from Audi. You'll probably have to order from your dealership for those exact ones, otherwise something like this might work for you: amzn.to/3SJwIop
What I find interesting is that my 2017 Q3 only takes 4.5L (4.8qt) with filter. And this one I assume has the same engine but takes 6 quarts of oil w/filter .
The Germans have been using plastic oil pans and oil filter covers for a while now which I have mixed feelings about... But their overall placement and construction is always super easy to work with
Given the fact that it is plastic I can certainly believe that, I've been inspecting it for damage and replacing o-rings, but full plug replacement and I'm sure even oil pan replacement in certain intervals are warranted

Great vid. Thank you for posting. Helped me out!
Hey bro, the important thing???!!! How much oil does it take and check it with oil dipstick?
11:28 it takes exactly 6qts
Can you share a URL for the Audi ring lights plz? Thanks, a nice vid - going to follow it for my first oil change soon.

The Q3 was completely redesigned in 2019
@@4KMotoring I’m guess it’s the 45 TFSI engine in the S line trim. I mean same engine requiring 1 full quart more oil.
@@anthonymcfarlane3014 I know they've done some retuning to the whole motor, it runs on 87 octane as well
nice job but shouldn't this car be level when changing oil?
The drain plug is at the rear of the oil pan, so jacking up the front is just fine
Great videos thank you 😊
I just purchased my first ger.an made vehicle. I ve had Japanese and American cars. This is new for me. 2022 Audi Q3

Do you know if you have to replace the oil drain plug every change. Porsche has the same drain plug but recommends to replace it every change
