I purchased this game shortly after release for the 360, I couldn't afford to upgrade to xb1 at the time. I loved the gameplay and didn't think to much about the differences tbh. Fast forward to yesterday when I decided to revisit this game but on my xb1 instead. It just finished downloading the update and I decided to see what was different. Needless to say I am super pumped to play it even more now. The details I was missing is going to make it feel like a new game to me.
I completed this game on the 360 and just started playing GOTYE on Xbox One - I noticed the difference right away! This game is fucking beautiful! It's one of my favourite games of all time, along with Skyrim! 😍😍😍😍😍💖
i pesonally love the game in the 360 but after seeing some comparisons like the environment the trees and such has more realistic feel than in the 360 ver feels and looks like plastic and espicially my inquisitors hair and oily face because she looks like she just bathed in oil plus the lighting ....its just *cries to death*
Yes, I own BOTH versions and it's not really all that bad on the 360 except for the HORRENDOUS load times and little a bit of missing extra content... We are no longer still in the days of comparing SNES and Genesis games anymore! 🎮
TXF I think they lowered what’s called “color bit”. While it looks similar, the Xbox 360 version doesn’t have the power to deal with more colors. So they give it a more limited palate
I'm playing it on 360/ps3 as of now. I love the characters, story, and gameplay so much that graphics doesn't bother me after watching this. YES,it obviously looks better on Xbox 1/Ps4 and runs smoother. However it's not as bad as ppl say the last gen runs.
So I bought this game for the 360 because I really liked it and I was bored as hell and it was for $19.97 CAD. TBH watching all these comparison vids made me skeptical of my choice but I opened the package so no turning back. A few hours in and my brother who has the hardware to run the digital download GOTY Edition purchased it via Steam I think it was (IDK) the next day. I was a little pissed that he got the GOTYE but I'll just watch him do the DLC even if I don't get to play it =p Personally from seeing both versions obvi the next gen and PC versions are better. But If you don't mind the "ugliness" of the previous consoles, the latency of textures appearing and the odd sound/audio glitches, it's still a hella fun. IDK if it's just me, but I feel kinda blessed that I can get past the graphic and weird glitch on the off occasion but I know it bothers others and in some ways I don't blame then. But my brother was right, the 360 can't seem to handle the game well. He was wondering why they'd put a game designed more for a next gen console or PC on a previous gen console. That or they did not put in any work into catering it to them. Personally I won't complain, it just means one more game for me to play XD
+Kat Anton Well to be honest it´s a 10 years old hardware. The game wasn´t cut in any way gameplay-wise though, so if that´s your only option to play this gem of a game, it´s perfectly fine.. I only missed the vegetation rendering and the stable framerate of the currentgen version. The decision not to make DLC´s for the old-gen though, that´s a dicky move. Especially if you consider that they have made the first and the most demanding DLC for those systems (Jaws of Hakkon - all new massive landscape/region and a lot of new, more dense areas). 360 would easily handle both Descent and Trespasser. Shame
Manciu Dorin I said "Steam I think it was (IDK)" Indicated that I was not sure what it was. He's right beside me right now, I asked and he said Origin.
I play the Xbox 360 version and I have to say that what the graphics in this game are meant to be are...just...I don't even have words. I'll be honest, I am pretty disappointed that all the newer consoles only run this and their super expensive ;v; I just can't wait until I either save up to run this on a PC or be able to play it on an Xbox one. But, regardless of how jealous I am of the peeps who are able to play it in those beyond gorgeous graphics, it's an insanely good game, and, I shouldn't really care that the graphics on the Xbox 360 version aren't the best :P
Yeargh, just as long you're havin' fun with whichever version of the game and you felt like it was $$$ well-spent; then WHO THE FUCK cares about the quality? If you REALLY cared, then you'd prolly opt for the PC version right?
+Xavier levy I agree. It's very playable. I have the PC, 360 and Xbox One versions. This game in 4K Ultra is breathtakingly beautiful. However each version is playable and very enjoyable. I think it is an accomplishment to get this game running on the 360 as well as it is. To put it in perspective a Core 2 Quad Q9650, 8GB RAM and x2 GTX 560 TI cards can't run this game like the 360 at 1080P or 720P. It is a slide show. The optimizations they did to get the 360 version working is amazing.
That's a good choice. Bear in mind that you need to get the black emporium free dlc and some achievements may not pop on X1 as this game is incredibly buggy when it comes to achievements
Its not really fair to compare an xbox 360 version to an xbox one version. now if the graphics from this game were worse than the second, then i would say it's justifiable to complain about graphics.
+McZachary It's a fair comparison. Skyrim came out three years before this & still looks better (though, only after it has been installed onto the hard drive). And the 360 port of The Witcher 2 looks even nicer than Skyrim.
+Xhen Vombis well Witcher 2 isn't as big as Skyrim. Usually the bigger a game's world is the lower quality textures can be, because you can only put so much strain on the console. Not sure why a lot of the textures look awful on the 360 version of DA:I from my experience. It looks like they used a blur tool on everything for a lot of stuff.
A decent game on both systems, 360 is bare, no foliage, no shadows, trees are bare, no reflections, bad lighting, but the core game is still good. Obviously way better looking on xbox one. I think they rushed the 360 version and focused more on new generation consoles. I have played it on both systems, and got it for xbox one on sale for 5$ so it was a steal.
Gon Freecs if you haven't made a decision yet, I would recommend Dark souls 3. If you are looking for a challenge and a good story go for Dark Souls. But if you don't like hard games go for Dragon Age
it's totally two different types of games. Souls series focus more on level design and the range of rpg mechanics, dragon age is more of a story driven game, characters details and characteristics modeling are swell, whereas you need to pay attention to inventory item descriptions to find out the dark sequences behind the whole scenery. Dragon age is a typical american rpg, dark souls is rather new, so to speak to put it in rpg genre.
+Angel Aviles I'm pretty sure game development doesn't work that way. I don't believe Microsoft mess with the games development for the 360 version. I'm pretty sure that was a bioware or 3rd party team that did both the 360 and ps3 versions. As they tend to do
ZackRToler that would make sense if it was a game with bad history behind it but dragon age is such a high rated game, so why not try to make the graphics better... because its all about selling their product. also why did 360 and ps3 players miss out on bo3 story mode because they want people to buy the new gen systems. theres no other reason.
Angel Aviles because to their statistics more people spend more time in Multiplayer than in Campaign. Which might be true but a lot of those people tend to play Campaign first. Sadly I'm one of those people who only play Campaign.
EA has buried both franchises (ME and DA) into the ground at this point, having them moved onto the nextgen. They just couldn't do it. Sad in many ways - the company has proved its incompetence, weakness, inability to overcome.

Is worth the purchase replaying on Xbox One? I'm so tempted because I loved it on 360
I think so! The graphics are noticably improved and you can get all the DLC/GOTY Edition. 💜
Sam Hval the graphics alone make the getting it again sooooo worth it
LIGYARU how do u get rid of the black lines in the screen I updated and everything
Witcher 3 is better than Dragon Age Inquisition and Skyrim

Why aare the colors so different? I understand textures being a lower resolution, but just it looks everything is saturated to hell on 360.

+Viflo Too true T^T
+Kat McGee how did your brother purchased the game on steam if its not available on steam?
do you even have a brother?
Manciu Dorin I said "Steam I think it was (IDK)"
Indicated that I was not sure what it was. He's right beside me right now, I asked and he said Origin.
You can't buy this game on steam, he probably got it from EA's Origin website
I played this on 360 and it was a screen tearing, jerky, janky mess.
I play the Xbox 360 version and I have to say that what the graphics in this game are meant to be are...just...I don't even have words. I'll be honest, I am pretty disappointed that all the newer consoles only run this and their super expensive ;v;

In comparison to xbox one it gets moped up.
@@natalie2070 yeah i know right even thought the Xbox one came before dragon age inquisition i play dragon age inquisition on the 360
It looks very bad on Xbox 360 when you see it actual big TV. The texture quality is trash
@@killermoon635
I actually don't mind the way it looks, but then again I used to only have a PS2 for the longest time.
I’ll probably start it on my 360, then migrate my save data to my XBO. I don’t like having to use DAK to import my choices. Lots of context missing.
That's a good choice. Bear in mind that you need to get the black emporium free dlc and some achievements may not pop on X1 as this game is incredibly buggy when it comes to achievements

+McZachary it's not about being fair here. It's about seeing the difference between the old gen and the new gen. Period!
Difference is huge
These aren't just subtle changes. Looks like a total remake. Still the 360 has always been a very competent game console. At least performance wise.
Yeah but just to be able to play it on a piece of hardware from 2005 is astonishing
@@Viflo YEARGH!!!

They're BOTH good on each respect console, and I really don't mind owning either one or ALL of the versions if I could!
Well, at least it works
Essa música é tão linda !
should I buy this or dark souls 3?

The comparison is funny as hell
i dont think Microsoft tried on the 360 version because if you look at destiny it doesnt look as bad as this
ikr
Destiny looks fucking great on the 360.

so xbox 360 is like pc on low graphics and xbox one are pc medium/high.
also another factor is the tv itself.different tv gives different qualities and such.soooooo..yeah
doesn't matter, unless you use tv that's 10 years ago.
I thought the Xbox 360 graphics were good until I got the game on PS4. Now I can never look at it the same again...
The game is very beautiful in xbox 360 🤩😍
Dx9 vs dx11
i first got this game for ps3 but it lags a lot so im buyin it for my xbox one that wil run smoothly i hope
Xbox one 👌👌👌
There is a difference but not enough difference for a new generation, is like an xbox 360 pro. It sucks.
360 like playing a game where the graphics are just wet pasta.
pc graphic is always way way way way better..
Ray Isaac duh your pc cost 3-4 time what a xbox one cost...and why are you here if your not an xbox player???
The 360 anti-aliasing is trash
the graphics are very nice on the 360, and there are other games with graphics much better than this one.
Ugliest game on 360...
Na it looks fine(hell pretty good imo)...oh boy you obviously haven't seen shadow of mordor on the 360..Not just ugly but unplayable whatsoever

The ps3 version is much better than the Xbox 360.
