NOTE - 4K is still processing. Please wait for that to finish! Veilguard got shown off today with an extended gameplay demo. It looks ok. Some of the character design are somewhat meh. Let me know your opinions lol.
It's just the aesthetics. It's looking somewhat modern and Sci fi ish. When they initially showed the game it looked dark and gritty in that reveal before they rebranded to veilguard. I was hoping they stuck to it
I actually think it looks pretty good as an action RPG. The difficulty for me is I look at every game through the lense of Baldurs Gate 3 now, which has raised the bar extremely high in every way. Especially for story driven/role playing games.
Nah at least for me BG3 was epic, but i still want games to have their own style and story flair. Greed Fall 2 is trying to be BG3... And what are fans saying? It should have just stayed like Greed Fall 1 with system upgrades like combat and so on. I always feel like.. Be the next big thing don't copy the last thing. 😎✌
what is this? The DA orgins was a mature, NOT scripted, epic adventure. This looks like the scripting of uncharted, mixed with the style and tone of a marvel movie. How hard is it to make a sincere, mature, skill based, tactical game?
I remember from DAI Solas spoke of or alluded to trapping the other Elven Gods within the Veil. I wonder by disrupting the ritual, Rook accidentally released those trapped Gods. It looks like at least on the right side, a humanoid figure. The other, a demonic dragon. Those Elven Gods may have become twisted demons by now but they still remember the betrayal from Solas and their original empire, which Solas dismantled.
_Origins_ was dark high-fantasy while this has some magicpunk vibes. Gameplay looks better than _Inquisition,_ which I never bothered to play more than half an hour of, though many animations are rather slidey. My faith in Bioware seriously flagged with _Dragon Age 2_ and died with _Mass Effect 3,_ so I'll probably be skipping this.
After the disappointment that was Inquisition, I'm not getting hyped for this one at all. They told us in development we could be an anti-chantry, mage supporter if we wanted to. But that was a big, sodding lie. Our Inquisitor was pretty much shoe horned into siding with the Chantry, instead of allowing it to collapse and die like it should have. Also pissed that we couldn't seize the opportunity to enter the Black City and try our hand at obtaining godhood. I want to side with the Imperium, I want to establish the reign of magic supremacy, I want to help Stolas tear down the veil and restore the world that was.
@@Kratos8462 Nearly everything they promised us during the development phase turned out to be a great, sodding lie during the final release. They told us we could be an anti-chantry mage supporter if we wanted to. Only for it to turn out that we're pretty much forced to ally with the Chantry because letting it collapse would supposedly lead to even more chaos. We also didn't have any options for an alternative ending, like trying to enter the Black City and become a god. We're forced to kill Corypheus and destroy his orb. I hate the Dragon Age's current society of anti-magic oppression, and human centric supremacy. I want to join Solas and tear down the veil so the elves might have a chance at reclaiming the status they have lost. I want to bring back the days of magic supremacy that existed during the days of the empire. I want to destroy the Chantry, or at least let it collapse under the weight of its own incompetence. If this new game finally gives us any of those options, then I might consider checking it out. But if this is going to follow in Inquisition's footsteps and revolve around our character fighting to maintain the status quo, then I'm gonna pass on it.
Why couldn't rook be a white man in this showcase? Thats the majority of the people who will be playing it...proper representation or whatever they always whine about....
graphics look good technically, but from design and style PoV - total garbage. This engine is so powerful, why did they go for cartoonish aesthetics? MAjor fail
@@304enjoyer3 I'm not being rude or trying to argue. I think you're being a bit harsh because it's an EA game. The graphics looks great. The animation may need some more work, maybe more fluid but it looks like the devs put work into this. I'm just curious why Verric's hair is black.

May I ask what character design is bad? The ones I remember from previous games look the same.

@@Rubhen925 that's fair.
I'll still play it. Love DA games so I just hope they polish the game by launch this fall
@Rubhen925 now you mention it. It does like cartoonish
Pretty much like Mass Effect 3 opening vibe.
I look back at inquisition and realize just how good we had it

It's stuff they hope to sell to kids.
Bioware is long gone.
Idk ask Larian since they did make it.
@@NoFirstNoLastName Huh? I don't think they were asking about BG3, what are you on about?
Edit: Misread the original comment, my bad.

Does anyone know if we still get character creation mode?

The gaming community will kill Bioware before ME5.
The comments be like 🦜
Well, that was really interesting
Look how they massacred my boy!
This games gameplay is f*ckin awesome!
I need more
Make it DARKER
Not everything is souls
@@bohannon2692no correlation. original DA was dark.
Just curious, what console did you use to play this on?
this was shown by bioware earlier. Most likely pc build, as that's usually easier to get a demo build for.

Nothing probably changed in this either
Inquisition was actually a safe space for me when he was actually easy for me despite challenging, that was the first dragon age game I completed.
You gotta be trolling! Inquisition was not a disappointment

Having to side with the chantry was one of the few good things about the game. Templars4life!
All the waiting time for this …. 🤮🤮🤮
Yeah I’ll just wait until it’s eventually on game pass
Idgaf what nobody say. I want to play this game.

Nah, pass.
🤣 understandable. I do miss the old dragon age gameplay. We have enough hero arpg type games nows

It's the same graphics as DAI but upgraded. What's wrong with that? It's not even cartoonish. Fortnite and Sims 4 is cartoonish.
