Cheers! Lots of nostalgic sounds there for sure. I was just thinking how hard it was back then to do, and how easy it would be today to create similar sounds and how actually simple those sounds were. DM was super inventive in their sound design.

Many of these are sampled from the PPG’s. However, to reprogram the exact sounds would take an immense amount of time. Great vid!

The Emulator II keeps being an excellent machine nowadays (always the power supply doesn't bother. Stephen Morris (New Order) said that one could not ever know if it would work or behave properly when switching it on 🙂)

Klingt in meinen Ohren zu metallisch. Sollte man evtl. nur al Effect einsetzen. So geballte „Ladung“ ist das unangenehm für meine Ohren. Schöne Demonstration der Fähigkeiten! Wusste nicht, daß es eine Version 2 gab. L G Majo

@@retrosound72 Ich kann Dir das sogar begründen! Habe das studiert.Unter 32 Bit gibt es nichts…was man Analog nachbilden kann. Treppen Effekt.
Aber viele Leute können nich höhere Mathematische Höhren. Schade ☹️
@@mainmajo Im Nachbilden gebe ich dir natürlich recht. Alles andere ist subjektives Geschmacksempfinden. Und wie du selbst weißt, gehen Geschmäcker oft sehr auseinander.

Vince Clarke has said in various interviews that he used a Juno 60, ARP2600, Pro One, Jupiter 4, TR808, Roland MC4 sequencer on Upstairs at Erics.
