I remember when I first heard this I couldn't believe how well Daniel Johns could sing, and I couldn't believe it was Silverchair! I never really paid attention to Daniel's voice before this album and I have to say he is one of the most underrated singers. Emotion Sickness is my favorite from this album and its a masterpiece

Very thoroughly done;) FINALLY someone who knows details about songs & an album and also doesnt just rate them all 5 stars just bc theyre awesome lol thank u for doing this and maybe helping to show others how amazingly talented they are, and to also give facts a lot of ppl seem to not know. This was awesome
I'm only a couple of years younger than silverchair and pretty much grew up with them and their music...love this album, it got me through my teenage angst years for sure. Really great review and well thought out.
good reveiw this is my favorite album all time i went through a strong series of depression and every word on this album meant somthing to me song like 'Paint pastel Princess' and 'Emotion sickness" explain how i was towrads antidepressents at the time but "Miss you love" was the song that i felt right away it was how i was i didn't care about anything anymore and my mind was gone emotions faded Daniel said a million words to me in that song it's my favorvite song ever written.
i agree with most of this. dearest helpless has grown on me over the years,i really dig the guitar. though i hate spawn again,the original was leagues better. you should do a review of b-sides and unreleased stuff. like fat donuts! lol. great review btw.
