I am terrible with woods/hybrids off the ground so i got the MP Fli-Hi 3 iron and i love it. I am now thinking of replacing my 5wood with the MP 2 iron now.
Another great video boys, driving irons today are so more forgiving and has been a great alternative for anyone who struggles with hitting hybrids. The FlyHigh made my bag late last season and I couldn’t have been more surprised or happier.
I have the Tour Edge EXS 220 4 utility iron and it is a rocket. In the wind or on a links style course it is outstanding. Low rescue shots under trees, no problem. It is so hot off the face that it gets kind of addicting to hit. It is my 15th club and I switch it in and out of the bag depending on the course and conditions.
Just swapped out my Hybrid for a 4 Utility (U505), and it has changed my life. Wasn't even touching my Hybrid, as I was so inconsistent with it. Has completely changed my long game. Hoping to get the 2 Utility version in the next week.
I agree with Kevin that the Stealth UDI does look amazing at address - not too thin or too big...just right. I was originally deciding between Stealth UDI, Stealth DHY and U505 but ended up with the Stealth UDI due to the way it looked at address and performance was great as well so the decision was a no brainer for me.
I just got a set of zx5/zx7 combo set, 5 & 6 in the zx5, and I have my old M2 hybrid as a 4 iron, Im debating switching to a zx5 4 iron, and a zx utility driving iron, not sure though I hit hybrids really well. I have a free slot in my bag though and I already have 4 wedges
Which are the best shafts for driving iron in your opinion? I tried the DI and felt it really hard to hit and stiff! What about Ventus Blue and Nippon GOST? Thanks
I got the Stealth UDI 2 iron to replace my SIM 3 wood as the 3 wood was going way too far. The UDI came with a swing weight of D1.5 which meant I couldn't feel the club head. This gave me a distance varience of about 50 yards and a bit of a draw-hook bias. To fix this I added some lead tape to get it to D5 which matched my set, and as a result my consistancy and accuracy improved dramatically. Great club.
Love my Stealth UDI 2, replaced the shaft with a kaili white hybrid 90s shaft and it’s literally my fairway finder. Hit it 255yds last time I played off the tee.
One thing that is not mentioned in all these videos is the loft and lie of each one. Some brands have stronger or weaker lies than others giving them less or more spin and less or more distance.
And some are not easily bent to preferred lie. IE. Titleist. They needed more details for sure. But unfortunately that's true of the majority of UA-cam reviews
I use a 19* C722 and get good distance but haven't used it for into the green yet, so I can't atest to that. Head is a little small to the eye, but solid overall.
Ditched my 4H for a 4i. Just ditched my 3w for an iCrossover 2i; ( I play i230s) I'm not fixated on distance, I'm more concerned with keeping the ball IN PLAY! I also tried the UDI, but the Ping was much easier for me to hit, and it fit in nicely with my 230s.
Funny, I am in the exact same situation. Also play 230i until 4i retro spec 24,5*, will buy 4di at 23* and 2 di at 17*, should Cover Gap to Driver. Question: Srixon zx or smth Else??
What are your thoughts about shaft length ? I am seeing many your pros are taking inches off hybrids and hitting them ? How about these utility clubs ? Are you shortening them ? What happens when you do that ?
Hybrids are so much more forgiving then these clubs. Plus the added height will help much more on those long par 3s! These are definitely better than stock 4-5 irons, but they can’t hold up against the versatility of a hybrid!
This is going to sound silly but can someone clarify I’m new to golf, but are driving Irons not the same thing as “Irons”? Are they one and the same thing??
T200 is the utility iron equivalent of the old u500. It’s not actually the 2 iron to the T200 iron set. It’s a little bit chunkier and forgiving from the actual iron set. The U505 is like the U510. Just the chunkier titleist utility.
The T200 is a great choice for anyone who is turned off by the wider sole of the u505. It’s also a better option for anyone who struggles with more of a shallow delivery.
@@SwingFit I tested both the U505 and the T200 and it turned out that I'm horribly allergic to wide soles - utility, fairway, and hybrid. I ended up with a T200 2 iron, Tensei AV Raw White 100X. It's an absolute weapon and it's one of the more useful clubs in my bag. Love it.
The C722 isn’t going to hold a green, so I wouldn’t be seduced by its length (not hating on TE, I actually play one of their 5 woods and it’s arguably my favourite club in the bag). Just don’t think such a shallow descent angle is very functional
If he went back and hit the stealth again it would be different. it was obvious his swing got looser and more timed and therefore better as the test went on. that's what happens when the guy swinging is a good player but not a pro. So I cannot take much away from this other than that all the clubs are fairly similar.
I have the zx mkii 2 iron. I swing it 105-110 and it averages about 280+. Into the wind it still goes 240-260. With a helping wind I've had a couple surprise me going 320-340.

got the srixon zx mkii in the bag 💵💵

Love to hear this!!! Keep us posted on the 2 utility, if it ever goes in the bag

I am in the market for a driving/utility iron. This is just a video I needed to watch. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!!

Would be curious about the Wilson entry amongst these. Believe the Wilson comes stock with Tensei orange

Just the video i was looking for.. am looking at a Utility Iron, a hybrid or a 7 Wood..

Great comparo lads. Gave me some motivation to try some of these. But, how do you think a 10mph slower swing speed would impact the results?
What are your thoughts about shaft length ? I am seeing many your pros are taking inches off hybrids and hitting them ? How about these utility clubs ? Are you shortening them ? What happens when you do that ?
Could you provide the lofts, shaft lengths, and distances?
What about U505 titleist
Always appreciate Kevin’s feedback on what he sees/feels
Bar the slight one right the t200 was by far the best dispersion.
Wait why do you have a steel shaft in the fli-hi mizuno classify the fli-hi as a hybrid and say to only put a graphite shaft on it
Why? I have a Dynamic Gold 105 S300 in my Cobra King TecUtility 2 iron and its one of the best clubs in my bag.
Is TC no longer with 2ndswing? Havent seen him in a video in a while
Yes, he started his own channel
I would put a utility iron in the bag to replace a mid iron but the lofts are too low! Hybrids instead.
Hybrids are so much more forgiving then these clubs. Plus the added height will help much more on those long par 3s! These are definitely better than stock 4-5 irons, but they can’t hold up against the versatility of a hybrid!

no newlevel nlu-01?
I don’t think I would consider the t200 a driving iron. I have the u505 2 iron in my bag.

MAKE THIS VIDEO AGAIN PLEASE. NEW T200 & APEX UT 2023
Also a 5 iron goes 200-215 so the next club needs to carry 215-230 ?
23 degree srixon isn’t the same club as the others.. 3 iron at 20 would have been fair
The C722 isn’t going to hold a green, so I wouldn’t be seduced by its length (not hating on TE, I actually play one of their 5 woods and it’s arguably my favourite club in the bag). Just don’t think such a shallow descent angle is very functional
As a driving iron rather than an approach iron it could be good! I’d be looking at one of these more for that reason than as a par 3 or approach club.
PLEASE review: can you please review the NEW APEX & T200 Utility iRons'???

I play a P770 UDI 2 iron, talk about 🔥
Looks
Like his swinging out of his shoes and it’s only 93mph … I’d love to see someone with 110mph+ with 2 irons

@@Evo_Warp it’s a great driving iron, second to the ping… I found it the easiest too hit but it’s on the large side that’s the only let down
@@Evo_Warp
Wow.. those numbers are nuts. I have similar swing speed. Curious what shaft are you in? Thank you
Robust...
