Perhaps a big teaching of Moshiach is learning how to define a G-d centered purpose in an age of increasing abundance. Also, to learn how to derive meaning when a prospect could very well be that there isnt a finality. Much of what gives meaning is that life is fleeting. A flower grows, blooms, then withers. With Moshiach, flowers are always in a proverbial bloom, therefore teaching that transcendence where existence doesnt require a next world to find true happiness here.

"He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how." Frankl said it best expanding on Nietzsche! And Maslow is certainly also correct in regards to his hierarchy of needs.

Does that mean that some people don't deserve to live?

Without bread, there is no Torah; where there is no Torah, there is no bread.

Perhaps consider the raising of a child. At what point does a child understand or know God? Ideally, both theories are correct. It is just perspective. Parent or child.

As desirable as it may be for having the light of life illuminate our path into the material world, the path of life IS upside down in this respect, as we need the passage of time to attain many of the threads of wisdom to come to us. A problem today is that the young are seduced to buy a shiny new toy before they can attain the wisdom to see how they will trip on that toy. Indeed today, for Jew and gentile alike, there is an epidemic of adolescent mental health disorders and many young people are experiencing anxiety when they have to leave their fantasy games to come in contact with real people. Thank you Rabbi for such a beautiful presentation.
