The funny thing is, I had this video playing as a sort of background noise while doing my own run, and I ended up with 3 nukas
Nuke a Hanas
I had a bloom run where I had Eulogy zero, got a white -> lunar printer in sanctuary with a cleansing pool, the stage1 polylute and stage2 shrimp. I got 10 irradiant pearls, then grabbed bloom on stage2. That run made me love bloom, because I already had all the stats white items would provide me to begin with.

Shoutouts to the editor one this one! I know the editing's not flashy or anything but condensing a run like this into 30 mins without feeling like we're missing anything is impressive, def one of the big reasons I like watching race vids. Plus GOATed music choices :)

Kinda like the idea of bloom multiplying rarer items into common items until I realized that would just be an exponential item gain with the potential of turning reds into multiple whites and back to reds again into even more whites.

@@pallingtontheshrike6374 if youre talking only adding items to different categories I guess it could work (leaving out the part where they can all convert to a higher/different rarities because that once again would become perpetual item gain). It also couldve been a cool lunar if it just changed item rarity to any rarity like ego but instead of gaining an ego you sacrifice any item for a different one.
@@pallingtontheshrike6374 also forgot to mention they originally said it should be multiplicative because more more common items would equivalent to less less common items as seen in cauldrons (which makes sense for the hypothetical item in theory)
That could be a fun challenge if you don't gain items (or far less) like you normally do, and just start with like 5 whites stage 1

At the end of the day, the problem with Bloom in the long run is that there are absolutely no red items which can increase movement speed. Otherwise, pick up a disposable missile launcher and a gesture, and you're unstoppable.
Even if there was a lunar item which doubled movement speed but halved all damage, it would be fine in the long run.
Do you really need mov speed with countless stacks of aegis and afterburners?

dude whoever made that umbral mithrix mod is a true gamer also that was an epic showcase of it, it was way too hype, i love the last phase where its just a survival phase perfect final touch to it
Runs where you have items like Benthic and Egocentrism are really interesting IMO for how much your strategies on how to play the game have to change. Whether that's for the better or not is debatable, but it's still interesting nonetheless, and this was a great showcase of it.
Also I just checked thunderstore the day after this video came out and someone already modded the balance suggestion chat gave for bloom at 14:00 lol. The mod's called benthiccBloom for anyone interested. Definitely gonna try it myself to see how effective it is.
10:35 Although Commando can one-shot an enemy, there are some that are just too tough. To combat this, pick up Shattering Justice. After hitting an enemy 5 times, this item will reduce armor by 60 for 8 seconds. Combined with a Soldier's Syringe for Double Tap, you can quickly reduce an enemy's armor.

You can't make a run with only red items. That's like a breakfast consisting entirely of three glasses of milk.
Fix for N'kuhana's Opinion: Each time you're healed, shoots out a Soul Energy, that deals 10% (+10% per stack) of your HP as percentage base damage. So when you have 1000 HP you deal 100% base dmg each time you get healed. And proc efficient as 1.2, because it's a legendary item, it has no rights to be that bad in game.
When I saw the name of the video, I thought it was a lunar run. I have been pleasantly surprised by a slightly more challenging, well, challenge.

I feel like to be viable blume has to then upgrade reds to 5 commons, and cycle again. 5 maybe too high but thats the idea
i had 6 harpoons turn into 6 clovers and immediately turn into blooms. so yeah... it does not matter what the item is.
I would love a mod that makes bloom also turn reds into whites so they just keep cycling.

get in close, prioritize aoe and proc based multipliers. consider using phase round and grenade if youre struggling with aoe. keep up your target priority
I remember once i picked up benthic bloom just for it to immediately turn a stack of utility items into like 20 57-leaf clovers. That was a very interesting run

Probably you remember me i am biznizman from stream on Saturday . I still don’t understand how does the permanent damage work because you were healing from a drone and soda machine.
Its an Eclipse thing
Basically, only about 40% of the damage is permanent, the rest can be healed.
More specifically, every time you take more than 2.5% of your max health in damage in one hit, you gain a stack of "curse" for each full 2.5% of you max health you lost. For example, if you have 1000 health and take 200 damage, that's 20% of your health, so you gain 20/2.5 = 8 stacks of curse. Your max health is then divided by 1+0.01n where n is your current number of curse stacks. So with 1 stack of curse your health is reduced by about 1%, with 50 stacks of curse your health would be reduced by 33%, with 100 stacks of curse your health would be reduced by 50% and so on.
