Yeah you definitely gotta cover it and take your pumps inside. You can leave the big tank outside but drain the water from the tank . There’s a little knob on the bottom left you unscrew to drain the water from the sand. Also take off all your hoses to close for winter.

I purchased the sand filter off Amazon in 2018. It is a 16 inch (diameter) sand filter. It is an Intex brand. Unfortunately, that particular model is no longer available.
Rachel, I figured it out! Put it in full “stop” mode then hit “enter”. You’ll see a setting start to flash. Use the left/right arrows to make the next setting start flashing. When you get to the setting you want to change use the up and down arrows to set whichever parameter you want. I can take a video if that would help you.
Hi I upgraded to the harris pool pump for my intex above ground pool. I have the pump connected to the pool and the sand filter now do I need to Install a ground a wire on the harris pump?

@@erikgoodwin also saw other videos where they said really doesn't need a ground wire unless I was having it inspected but no need I live out in the booneys lol
I have this same exact pump & I'm finding the skimmer basket lid really hard to tighten without it leaking. It's brand new but I've read that some jack 327 should be used each time it's removed.. do you have to do this often?
My pool model did not include a skimmer. I purchased a skimmer separately. The skimmer I have doesn’t not have a lid. My design must be a bit different than yours.
I actually purchased the adapters you suggested in this video which worked wonders! Thank you for that bc I was not able to find any helpful videos besides yours🙌 I did also lube my skimmer lid before closing it again & it did help to seal it better, but for some reason I still have some bubbles.. watching your video again, I notice you have the same minimal amount of air bubbles bouncing around against your skimmer lid. So far I'm loving the pump, but one thing that stumps me is there is no air release on these skimmer lids..

Actually you are suppose to take the whole pool down for winter if you reference your manufacturer instructions.
I did the same. How did you "ground and bond" the pump
I didn’t ground it. I just plugged it to an extension cord. Been that way since last year

Do you have to put a sand thing or can you use the pump without it?
The pump will also need with a sand filter or cartridge filter.
You had the sizes wrong :P the intex hoses are 1.5"

Maybe I'm saying that wrong.. the waste basket lid on your pump is what I'm meaning I guess..

Erik Goodwin are you sure the link to Amazon is correct? It says 40mm to 1.5”... 40mm is larger than 1.5”...not equivalent to 1.25”
