Thanks very much! I tried to figure out golden ages or sonic better choice. But what about the quality of the materials? I have seen comments that space travel is not very reliable and even with good use it has problems after a year of using..so golden ages will be better at this point or the same?
Np o/ I'd say golden ages has better build overall, but at this point you may hold your money for a while, because there's a new collab between MD and Star Rail coming, and the spec/ price seems really promising.
I like Moondrop's tuning, but I wish they would improve the quality, design, and features of their TWS lineup elsewhere. Would be wiling to pay $200 USD if they gave out features on par _(or close)_ with other TWS of that price bracket, while keeping their signature sound.
Thanks. I bought the Golden Ages. Also thanks for the Cotsubu ASMR review, I almost bought that for the Yuuka 100kg collab. Btw, does your Moondrop TWS reset EQ option when you put it back to the case? Mine does, so every time I have to open the Link app to change EQ preset.
great, new video drop. now that we'll be getting new peeps coming here, what do ya'll think of moondrop space travel? I'm thinking of getting it instead of the golden ages because I don't care about the LDAC and I cba with the lower battery life. So out of curiosity, any advice about better tips for it or anything else that you space travel users wanna comment on?
GA does not support LDAC as of version 1.1.0; however Moondrop has confirmed that it would come back in the next update. Personally I think LDAC is overrated anyway and it's not exactly easy to get LDAC running on my iPhone either. The GA can output a lot more power and thus produce higher perceived volume than the ST. I tested both of them at my local store and the ST somewhat let me down: even with ANC on and volume at maximum, it was still somewhat difficult to hear certain details in the background. The GA also sounds better to me, comparable to the wired Aria. Everything is crystal clear with lots of details. Folks at Headfi have some great reviews if you want to know more. Please do note that the ST is perfectly fine even in crowded place (I walked out of the store and could still hear the songs pretty well). Still, you get what you pay for, and the GA is very well worth the extra. On a side note, the GA has a really nice case. And the box art is fabulous - I even put it on my shelf as decoration xD.
@@prinzatago ooh I appreciate taking your time to write out a big reply! and yeah, firstly I'm not even a big audiophile, I dont have any idea what it having LDAC or it being planar means, I just want something to listen to music with while out and about. looking for something moondrop because I have been enjoying using moondrop chu and chu 2 for awhile, totally found out about them randomly on yt! @@SupremeNoble LOL! Good luck with your purchase then. ST is still bang for buck even in 2024! If you like the Chu2, you definitely will like the ST as the two sound really similar: clear and very slightly warm. On the other hand the GA sounds crystal clear and feels cool and fresh. And yep, it's because of the different drivers.
I can't configure them in ldac mode. I have tried it on a Samsung Note 20 and on a Xiaomi Pad 6 tablet. In both of them, ldac works for me with other devices. On the note 20 it doesn't even let me set the ldac mode and on the xiaomi tablet I set it but when playing a song it only changes to aac. Have you managed to configure it in ldac? This option may not yet be available in this firmware? greetings.
I think you need to toggle the ldac mode inside the moondrop link app BEFORE toggling it on the samsung side, they treat it as a hardware thing, i guess...?
The Block is the cheapest TWS in Moondrop's lineup. Imagine a Space Travel with no ANC and no ear canal sealing. I tested it and to be honest, as much as I love Moondrop I have to recommend against buying it. Just get the ST. In the Block's defense, with just 9 bucks you get really decent sound quality, especially the mids. However the drivers are arguably even more underpowered than the ST's. The Block has almost no bass (Moondrop even shows you the graph - thumbs up to them for being honest). The ST has plastic tips that seal your ears and ANC, both of which help retain a lot of details especially in a noisy environment.
Honestly hoped they made more tws based of the Sparks and Alice's build, now they just reskinning space travel and nekocake
How is this a Space Travel reskin? The chassis might be the same but it's different drivers/tuning/ANC
