I find Radiohead to always be relaxing, even when they are rocking out.

I am just now jumping on to the page after only watching one of your Tool vids awhile ago, so am not certain which radiohead songs you’ve heard. I’m going to have to use every ounce of my power to write a whole series on why radiohead is so wildly impressive. not only with how they never fail to succeed at trying new things. The way they reinvented themselves from The Bends to OK Computer knowing that it could have backfired. Because that was ‘95 & ‘97, so we didn’t have the same internet we have now 😆 they very much had to rely on MTV, live shows and interviews to get Pablo Honey and The Bends fans to take the plunge to Ok Computer and then Kid A and the rest.
This band still sells out STADIUMS. Consistently. They headline festivals. They are one of the blueprints on how to navigate 90’s music not only stylistically, but lucratively and without making an insane amount of corporate compromises.
A really short but informative vid by VOX on the song Videotape by Radiohead will really peel back the curtains on what, exactly, made/makes them so fukin great.

I’m not certain if you’re familiar with J Dilla type of beats or his style (RIP), but it’s what i can compare videotape and if it makes sense cool, if not, check out Dilla beats!
It’s such a moody song, so it definitely won’t feel like a High and Dry - but their appreciation of rhythm and sound is very apparent.
Idk if you’ve done Weird Fishes or Decks Dark by them yet, but Weird Fishes will REALLY give you the appreciation that you had for the visuals of high and dry, but this will be for how they use instruments to create the illusion of being underwater and trying to escape.

Ashamed to say - I'm not overly familiar with Radiohead even though I'm the right age. I think this is from The Bends - which I did buy - and I love this song. Right back to the 90s.. I can't believe the song is 29 year old. I wish I could go back. Great reaction as always. Yours is one of my favorite channels, as a kinda former singer (do you ever stop?) I love hearing what you have to say about music.
Couple of things you gotta check out as a drummer. Clay Aeschliman's Meinl Cymbals playthrough of O.D. Also, the criminally unknown Singer/Drummer Aaron Frazer. I'd recommend "If I Got It, You're Love Brought It" but you gotta bring Dee on for it. 😁
