- The African (and final) leg of my pentagon challenge begins with TS Galaxy of South Africa.
This series is longer-form and more of a let's play than my previous videos, although each video will still make sense standalone.

FM24 squad building approach:
1. Fix the tactic first then recruit for the tactic
2. Squad grid - 2 per position
3. Sort out the finances
4. Player recruitment: Fill gaps, improve weak links (export attribute data from FM using filters then use python to rank and compare)
1 tackling, 1 marking, 3 positioning, 2 jumping reach on a wing back certainly is a move 😅 Have to stick to core beliefs. I actually agree that speed alone solves a lot of those issues.
Good player! As a right back it wouldn't work but as a wingback it's fine. In this tactic it's the primary creative / ball progression role and that side of it matters more than the defensive side

Great to see you going through the squad at the new club and seeing how it is done from the start
Thanks. The app works with attrib masking FWIW, it just takes the mid-point of the ranges it sees and 0 if it doesn't see a range

I have a copple of questions as I am new, if that's okay. First of all, I love these kind of videos, they really teach me a lot, so keep it up!
#1 The tactic that you use, is that a tactic that I also could use for let's say a Premier League club? And if so, is it in the game already or do I need to download it somewhere?
#2 Would you do this proces also for bigger clubs? Like would you deal with the squad, at the beginning, the same way as you do here for a lower known club?

Yes it will work well for clubs at all levels.And this process works well for bigger clubs - if you look at this video I applied it to Gremio in Brazil, for example ua-cam.com/video/hgla9echmwA/v-deo.html

I started a save over there with NB La Masia who is named after their owner Nazeer Baker. Objective was getting reject Spanish free agents and making my own La Masia. Because they have a reserve team, u21s and u19s. So you could work around the 5 foreign players in one squad.
It does help that they started in the championship. But I got them promoted after 3 seasons. While selling off a few Spaniards each year.
I got a job offer from La Masia and almost accepted it - intriguing club

Might be a daft question, but why are you prioritising players with 2 year contracts?
AI tends to bite more on players that are playing, so playing big contract players hopefully they're good but if not they're in the shop window
Just to get them sold off - trying to accelerate the process of getting the wage bill down for players that don't really fit the tactic - so I can then recruit ones that do faster
How did you created the squad grid
It's just a note in Apple notes, nothing fancy
Oh cmon not the same 3 striker tactic again. Im sure your viewers want to see you use like a 433 or 4231 or something with other positions so that we can see you set up your python for it.
