My Colorado Trail Boss came with cruise, 4x4, spray in liner, all weather floor mats, power seat, sliding glass rear window, tow package ,got mine calibrated to 430# torque with 310 hp,, damped tailgate with storage in TG, way better looking integrated into dash touch screen for 41,700! The Toyota SR5 4x4 here in Phoenix is 53k 🤯 a TRD is 60k I am so glad I didnt wait for this new Toyota!
Gotta look outside of PHX then. I'm in New York (Long Island, not the middle of nowhere) and I got under MSRP on a TRD Offroad. 45k with upgraded multimedia, heated seats and other cold weather stuff, etc.
I wish the quality and comfort level was better. When you're paying 50K+ you don't expect to get hard rough cut plastic for the door & dash trim. A lot of things feel cheaper on this generation. I liked the fold down configuration for the back seat on the 3rd gen too. 4 cylinder turbo is another point of contention. Time will be the real teller as to how reliable this will be.
Today I sat in a TRD Sport at the 43k price range. I can't believe how cheap the interior felt compared to my 2020 TRD Sport that I had for the same price. There is no excuse for a 43K vehicle to have fabric instead of leather, and to have manually adjusted seats.
OTT tune your V-6 25 ft lb of torque 20+ hp & eliminates any ⚙️ hunting WON'T void your warranty unless you tell them it's tuned & it'll probably improve your MPG about 2mpg
OTT doesn’t increase the hp or torque. The torque just comes in at a lot lower rpm. I have the spicy tune on a 2021 TRD OR manual. My installer told me hp and peak torque are the same as stock tune.
I have a 3rd gen with a manual transmission don't need any tow haul mode or any of that goofy stuff like crawl control or mts... Has a rear locker & a-trac 👍👍🤠
It’s annoying when commenters like you defend their last generation purchase knowing it’s not the latest greatest. The seating position in the new Tacoma is more comfortable, and finally leveled up from the ground. The new powertrain is more efficient and more powerful. Plus, you get the latest safety, features and tech and coil springs better suspension better frame. Get out of here with that 3rd gen BS, torture chamber interior, and wheezy V6
I just run my auto in sport mode every time and bump shift it. It’s like having a manual without the leg workout from the clutch. I can’t stand it’s shift points in auto so I control it myself.
@@-B_G- that tune will fix all your problems & you don't even waste any more ⛽ that's what's crazy Toyota programmed it to shift like shit and doesn't even save ⛽ 😂 I think my engine even sounded different in a cleaner better way. I'm very happy with it. I just ordered the drop-in AFE dry flow air filter 50+hp lol jk more like 1-2hp haha
@@honda116969 - good to hear. I’ve been planning on getting it tuned. Just crazy Toyota dropped the ball on 9yrs worth of trucks trans that can be fixed with a simple tune that could have installed in minutes. I also get better gas mileage bump shifting in sport mode I guess bc it doesn’t have to hunt for gears reducing it’s momentum and lag
THAT is another "issue". WHY does most tacomas come with that nasty grey interior they have had for years? what happened to all red, all black, our even dark brown?
43k is msrp.... with dealer mark up will be 50k+ and Toyota is not Japanese made anymore....all of their last models had many errors and prices are ridiculous. American truck is way tougher and cheaper now. I rather have a GMC or a Chevy truck
No markup and no add ons here at 2 large dealers in the bay area. Those days of markups are long gone, except the new LC. Markup will be gone on those in 6 months as well.
You ended with, "Toyota, take my money now". Ummm, that's exactly what they're hoping people will continue to say. Pay more, pay more, pay more. They own people and you'll settle for paying more for this.
i say, leave them sit on the lots until they give really substantial rebates.remember, these are all 4 banger trucks. if we ALL stick together, toyota will have no choice!!!! it is up to US
As for the packages that is all nonsense give Toyota won’t let you order a truck. Really stupid how they do business imo. You just have to take whatever they decide to build.
Overall I think Toyota missed the mark. The screen is too big and obnoxiously placed, the central air vents are too low, and the engine does not inspire confidence for reliability
They broke it themselves. I've been driving trucks since 97'. Never broke a Toyota. I used them for pulling my work trailer and jet skis. @@nicholasroberts9618
That’s what I told the Ferrrai “Sales Professional”, that Portofino is $150k at best and he turned and walked away. In other word, take it or leave it. Nobody gives a hoot.
43k for a barebones RWD only truck. Yikes.
It appears that Toyota drank some of that koolaid their dealers were handing out

Now you’re stuck with the Colorado, though. 😏 Lol
But reliability and resale value are sucks!

RWD so you won’t have to worry about losing the front wheels in case you run into a little ice.
Enjoy your Maverick

Not more new Tacomas for me, I'll stick to my 2021 TRD Sport for now and then I buy a Frontier V6
The blue in the interior looks phuckin nasty

Tapped and screwed, not glued.

The blue color inside comes in all sports trim.?
Or depending on the exterior color?
Hate the blue trim.
Careful with those front axles😂😂
That's a nice paint job
White? LOL
@@jimmycline4778not a plain white, you need to see it in person. Very nice metallic.
What is the sound?
Is the engine?
Or this Tacoma is diesel ?
I confused 😕
Heard on another video. They said they added a whistle or something to make it sound more like a truck/V6
I test drove one in a cold morning, That’s the sound of direct injection when it is cold started. Quieter after it is warmed up.

On my fourth Taco now, the sport fabric holds up well if you don’t abuse them.
Its 55k for the TRD Sport you're thinking of and Want.
Canada or USA ? Or unless your adding markups
This truck is to expensive and no have power seats, 4wd, and safety mirrors lights.
And for financing the APR so high.
Too much money for the truck

I love the Tacoma, but that’s really BS.
Toyota is going in the same direction as Jeep.
Complete with gimmick Bluetooth speaker
you can order a vase from toyota that fits on the dash for flowers.
I don't think the jeep would lose the front wheels at first contact with some light ice.
Overall I think Toyota missed the mark. The screen is too big and obnoxiously placed, the central air vents are too low, and the engine does not inspire confidence for reliability
Completely disagree. The screen has an amazing presence and great visibility. The interior is actually very simply designed if you really look at it.
