Your mum is adorable..just give her a job and off she goes, and what a great job she does..you and your Dad have done a lovely job on the helm....great to have good family help I'm sure
those cabins look a lot less claustrophobic when they're clean and nicely painted!
Your mam and dad are brilliant you’re very lucky too have their support
You thanked us Mark,,,but we enjoyed every single minute!!!...It's true what they say...."The Camera Never Lies"....& you've captured, as well as all the hard work, all the laughter & fun we had!!!...Soo darn proud of you Mark & Thank YOU🤗⛵️🤗⛵️🤗
you guys are amazing, it takes loving parents raising a child to believe enough in themselves to go for the stuff Mark has done. Also, it doesn't hurt you raised him to be polite👌
You and your son and husband are terrific. Great episode!
You are absolutely amazing momma Mary
Lovely mum and dad.
Yay Mom & Dad to the rescue again. Mary you certainly like to paint since your hobbies include painting along with your vacations to see Mark. 🎨
Great to see the family back Mark. Gave you a right boost there. The cabin painting is awesome, can't believe the difference and the steering is great. Great progress and we can start to see the end now!
Your parents are diamond Mark. Such support.
The boat is coming along nicely. Files get damaged with a single dragging backward motion across the teeth. Most files are pushed forward. The cutting edge cuts into the material. When the cutting edge is dragged back across the work surface the cutting edge folds over. The when the file is pushed forward the cutting edge is no longer sharp but instead flattened. You can easily see this folding of the cutting surface. Look at the file surface and if you see any shine or reflection of light the file teeth have been damaged. See the difference over the length of the file surface. On the other hand a slowly ground old file makes a nice knife.
Keep up the good work. Your parents are great by the way.
All of that work behind her, and your mom looks gorgeous. Wow not sure I could ever look that good after a days work.
Awww Patricia,....I'd be lost without my fake tan & makeup...But thank you sooooo much 🤗🤗🤗
No surprise- salt of the earth parents makes for a salt of the earth son. Keep chugging' on Mark. Steady wins the day.
@hughshepherd6596 Like becoming a seasoned sailor, boat building sense is hard earned with trial, error over years, but ultimately: by d o I n g. If you wait for expertise before starting anything you'll live your life in theory rather than practice. A good number with an amazing accumulation of boat building sense have done nothing with it but apply in daydreams or stuck on the pier. I've personally tiptoed both lines... militant perfectionism, and fly by the seat of my pants. Somewhere in there is a happy balance, but I'll say- my best lessons have come by way of my F ups. Mark will be on a tropical anchor while many are sitting, dreaming... waiting for the perfect time, the perfect boat that never arrives. Respect the ocean, stay humble, learn learn learn, take only carefully calculated risks, but for F sakes, get going. Life is short.
@hughshepherd6596 ....Ohhhh Hugh 😢...So mean - Boo 😢
@@MaryFarny1 Sailing, boat building sense is hard earned through trial and error, by doing. The docks are full of unapplied boat building sense, theoretical expertise rotting on the vine and boats that live in port. Waiting for the right boat, the right amount of expertise, the right amount of money, the right time... zero risk is where dreams die. Mark will be on a tropical anchor while most stay home, live with regret, criticize those with the stones to dream then take the leap.
@hughshepherd6596 ...Maybe that's your definition of you!!!😂😂😂
persistence is the key mate. and you're onto it. looking good. bless ya mum. lovely
I like millions of others wished our parents were half as good as yours. If nothing else your family is a inspiration
This is so lovely 🤗
was just thinking that !
@@MaryFarny1my pleasure ❤
They’re the comfortable minority, but it comes with its own price..
As soon as mum and dad appears they make the boat look complete for some strange reason. I love watching dad working hes a old skool grafter 👍
Your "diamond in the rough" is starting to get a bit of a shine going!
Wholesome episode, your parents are so sweet!
Your Mum&Dad did a cracking job! Bless you all.
You are blessed to have such great parents. Boat looking good too.

Your mom is great! Afraid of nothing!
It must feel good to have the hands on support of your family.
@hughshepherd6596 did you ever in your life sand / paint something in a small confined space with lack of ventilation ?
@hughshepherd6596...Hugh...me thinks you're a wee bit bitter Buddy😢Boo😢
@@vaab11....THANK YOU🤗
@hughshepherd6596....Ooooh Hugh, you're such a brave man...Hope we get to meet up one day & we can chat properly!!😂
@hughshepherd6596 ....Awww Hugh, cheer up buddy!...
Mark; your Mum is a diamond; the cabin interior is amazing, and don't forget; your Mum is really proud of you!
I am Steve...You're soo right!🤗⛵️😂
At the risk of sounding like a smart ass what is a mum.... I'm thinking maybe it's a mom But I'm not sure
@claybornlewis276 ....haha,,,you're not being a Smart Ass...Yes Mum is Mom 🤗⛵️🤗
Great to see your Mum and Dad again you all work together so well. Mum is a trooper and Dad is the silent grafter. Keep at it Mark you'll be sailing in no time.
Your mum is brilliant. Dad too.
Love when Mom & Dad make an appearance!
Love your mum she's amazing 😍
finally the stars of the show are back
Steering system works, I did have my doubts, but you boys did a great job.
"You're ugly, but you're kind." LMAO...I love your folks. Great progress!
Mom and dad are super stars. Sorry they couldn't stay longer. 😢
They'll be back for sure, I'm looking forward to seeing them enjoying time on the boat when he gets sailing

Wow!
Your parents are amazing! Brilliant
Mark, I owe you an apology. I was kind of hard on you when this project began and I was wrong. You are finding your way and have done a great job on your boat. I haven't missed an episode and very much looking forward to seeing your journey unfold. You're a fine young man, thanks to your awesome parents, and for following your dreams. I looked back at your old IG photos and how much you've grown since then. You've gone through a lot and have done so with grace. Proud of you. You're going to cross oceans on a fine boat that you brought back to life and I am here for it, Lad!
This is lovely 🤗...You are so right, Mark has been through so much, but always kept his self respect & dignity!...I don't think we could be prouder! This is a lovely message - thank you 🤗⛵️🤗⛵️🤗
Mom and Dad are sure a big help, great job to all of you, looking better evert video.
Your Parents are amazing. Well done all, galley looks great and creating a helm from nothing, but I cant help thinking that the wheel should be larger, but more importantly that it should be higher. You should be able to stand up comfortably to use it, particularly as you navigate in and out of tight spots when you will need 360' vision. I'm sure, as usual, you will work out what's best for you.
I love seeing your mum and dad they remind me of my own, Always there to help when something needs to be done.
To make the stainless snug against the fiberglass, use neoprene gaskets. It’s cheap, UV resistant and common use for this application.
Loved it what a great video I think you must know who the stars of this show are by now the whole Chanel adores your parents 😊
🤗⛵️🤗
I don't know if you'll read this, but your Mum did a cracking job with the paintwork!
I've read it....& Thank you sooooo much!🤗⛵️🤗
your parents are SAINTS. Keep up the good work!🥰
Your parents are Gems
Keep it up!
Thanks so much mate!
I love seeing your parents. Hang in there!
Once you get the tiller pulley locations all set I would recommend that you make some sort of mark on your steering wheel at top dead center when your rudders are absolutely straight ahead. It will help tremendously keeping you on course.
Thanks for an inspiring project, and for your family’s support. This is for a coffee! 😊
Cheers, Roy! I’ll treat them next time they come
Great video. It's pure pleasure watching your mum and dad help out. Best parents ever. Im glad your boat is turning out to be a fine looking craft. It's a lot of work.
Mum be a cracking paint job in the galley. She is a marvelous women and you are so fortunate to have her close relationship. The mast step came out perfect. Thanks again for this perfect episode.
You've got GREAT parents.
Love when the folks show up! You're mom crushed it in the galley! It looks absolutely new. Also, she said "you're ugly but you're kind"!
😂😂😂
Thanks
Thanks so much mate!!!
Best part is the tea time. Thanks Mom.
You Dad is a master mechanic. I can see why you are not afraid to tackle a project like this one. Keep up the good work on Maui the ocean “Crossing” Cat.
EXCELLENT WORK
EXCELLENT EFFORTS
YOU ARE A LUCKY LAD MARK ,,,
Your Mum & Dad
are AWESOME !!!
What an amazing project…👍👍👍
Wow…welding of those batteries, l’m so surprised you were able to do that
Mark add some deck/stair tred grip to your hull steps but think about leaving the front edge ..white so you can see the edge of each step in the dark..
You'r doing an amazing job Mark, it's really taking shape now. Mum & Dad are ace. Keep up the good work and you’ll be sailing before you know it. Also great video, think many people don't know how much time and dedication it takes to video, then sift through hours of video and edit it in a way that is interesting and reflects accurately the progress. Everything is looking really good, probably better than you realise, its like they say, being too close and needing to see it from a distance to get the whole picture. Well done Mark, Well done Marks Mum, Well done Marks Dad.
I cant belive the change
Definitely need your Mum's energy for mine .
Wow your mom did a very good job of the kitchen. Bright and clean.
Starting to get there. Your mum and dad are ace, great to see them helping you out. Love these ‘family’ episodes.
Dunno who is responsible for the music choice on your vids but it’s ace 👌 Bit of a Northern Soul feel to this weeks edition. I thoroughly approve! ✊
Your Mum and Dad are super people. What a good time you all have together.
Es ist schön das deine Eltern zu dir und deinem Vorhaben stehen und dir helfen!
God I love you’re mum and dad proper people don’t see them anymore they are mint diamonds they really are ❤ as for you my mate if you turn out anything like them you will be super brilliant now your just brilliant ❤and you are like them special all ways nice and polite and hard working
got to say , your Dad is a superb engineer and your Mum is a sweet human being , shes lovely . The boat is really coming back to life now , you saved her just in time .
Amazing parents
Your mom and dad are so nice and pleasant, dad has good common sense and could have been an engineer. Your mom is a very good painter ,it's nice when they come to help you with this tremendous project.
Super love the boat and the paint watching the actual process. I'm currently building a 20 ft Ensenada
Mom and dad of the year 🎉
Молодец Мужик ... уважение ..
From the looks of you, that mother of yours way a total smoke show in her younger years. Y'all are such good people, really enjoy the channel.
Haha...Not at all....I was struggling with a sore throat!!!. Mark kept saying I sounded like Rod Stewart😂😂😂
You are so fortunate to have your parents with you and being so supportive young man. Cherish every moment. Loved this channel since I first found it and can't wait until you're able to sail across the world.
Getting there nice work .
Love your mom. She is such a hard worker, just like your dad. Much respect to both of them ❤
Can't believe i spotted a box of Yorkshire tea...As a Lancastrian you should immediately throw it overboard!
Haha...I know!!!...in truth Barry, those Yorkshire Tea Bags are never far away 😂😂😂
Hes gonna be sailing around looking like Kevin costner in WATERWORLD
Mark
Always good to see your Mom and Dad helping out. A nice cruise at the end of your build would be nice, just relaxing having a drink and a bite to eat with your Mom and Dad.
Your Parents are the best.
Stay safe

Coolest parents on the net! uncontested, I love your mom accent too.
Always imagine yourself in the worse sea conditions when planing your projects, like planning down a breaking sea when auto pilot wont do, not on a sunset Martini cruise
Advise: Use rings in place of blocks on the steering lines. impossible to jam.,and stronger.
The triangular nature of the path of the line is puling sideways, a large loss of energy (work) ,simple physics. You HAVE to change it, the lost work is against you damaging your steering "joints".
Not to be critical but there is huge advantage to a large wheel if only comfort and practicality like one hand steering, torque, etc . Long hours on a small wheel is going to be exhausting.
PS: get your mom a suit, paint dust in the pores is bad too.
Mum is blummin' fantastic: Dad definitely impresses me, but they make a truly great team! Who knew you would result?
Lovely Parents Mark….keep on doing…..❤
I'd build a cockpit with windshield for foul weather over your steering station you won't regret it
Love the episodes with your Mam and Dad
Your mum and dad are obviously loving being part of the adventure. They are the type that would hate sitting watching TV.
Your mom did an awesome job on the gallery. Keep the videos coming.
Love the episodes where your folks come to visit and help out. They’re awesome people.
Well done mum and dad !! I don’t know of many parents who would do what they do … huge respect … what a team !!
It’s all coming together and hopefully a great summer awaits us all .. we all need some sunshine and fair winds
X
Thanks!
Thanks a lot mate!!!! Really appreciated ✊✊
Your mom did a awesome job painting, 🎉🎉🎉🎉
God bless the Mum's and Dad's!!.....
Isn’t it easier if you have a bigger steering wheel 🛞? Great work mark!! You’re a great man!!
Your parents are an absolute blessing. And why there’s still hope for humanity.
You are blessed to have a mother like her. Indeed, look after her. Dad is cool too.
Mum and Dad come good again. Galley looks great!
...thanks so much! I was actually quite nervous doing it, but got to say I'm quite chuffed with it & more importantly, Mark is🤗⛵️🤗
I think you are right about the position of the steering pulleys. If they were further back and aligned with the rudder connector so that the pull is in line with the attachment in the centre it would be much smoother and perhaps help with deciding on the rear decking position. Great job though.
Great work from all three of you, fab progress as always, much love from The Senior Confessor, England
You are very lucky man to have such wonderful parents ❤🎉
Your CAT is coming up very nicely 👌 Great stuff 👏 👍 👌 🙌.
I love when your mom& dad come over, they are such great sports to jump in and help you with your project.
Galley looks great, good job Mom! Is dad coming back to go through both engines with you. Always good to see mom and dad show up. you're a lucky guy to have parents willing to show up and pitch in. Waiting to see how the engines work and how that steering works under torque of the engines. 👍
That mask mom, very fetching, goes with the blond look….lol. 😎
😂😂😂😂
....I think it suited me because it covered half my face😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Keep it up dude! For future reference, under your block of wood that the steering wheel is mounted on, you can install wooden dowels into the beam with epoxy. Then the two would be locked together with the dowels so no movement once the metal clamps are on. And no screws into your wood.
Excellent progress Mark. Brilliant fun video. Your mum is such a good laugh, always upbeat and positive. A shame they can’t be with you all the time. You’re a very lucky guy to have such wonderful parents. Lots of milestones ticked off the list. Stay safe.
I Love love love your FAMILY! You have such a great relationship and support system. Give them a ll a hug from me. Count your blessings.
Making great progress Mark keep pushing your dreams forward
I think your parental units are awesome.
