Back in 1988 when I started doing weddings there was no UA-cam. I had to learn from watching other DJ's live in person or messing it up and learning from my mistakes. Be grateful you have these helpful videos to learn from.
And .... You used vinyl. This is all digital, automated and generally ALOT easier.
ok boomer :P
Pro tip: Make sure you understand how to pronounce the groom’s last name
Thanks man. new mobile DJ here, and your tips are on point!
Better tip, just ask them ahead of time what song they want to be introduced with as a new couple. If they don't have a choice, at least ask for an energy level, genre, how long they want the song to go etc. Still great point about knowing the song before it plays. For all the crucial songs in a wedding (first dance, parent dances, money dance, garter toss/bouquet toss etc) it pays MASSIVE dividends to listen to the song completely through and find where a good cue point is set. Botching the timing is a fate worse than death at a wedding, seriously.
VERY NICELY DONE - thank you i will sure use that in my next wedding gig
Dj Hapa has done it! Awesome bro!! Thanks a lot!!
Great tip! Thank you. I've been a pro Wedding DJ for about 20 years now and the way I've always done an introduction for the Bride and Groom is to: bring the volume all the way down from the Bridal Party intro, while there is silence, I ask everyone to stand, then I make my announcement; right after I say the B&G's name, I start their introduction song (usually much louder in volume than the Bridal Party intro song).
Your tip gives me something to think about because I am always trying to be better; always trying to improve. I like your tip and may end up trying it at my next event. Thanks again.
Hey Mario, I was just watching this video and I saw your comment. I have my first DJ Wedding gig in May of this year and you seem to be an expert at weddings. Can you email me any advice on how to DJ a wedding? I'm not familiar with weddings nor have I ever Dj'd at one. Would appreciate it. Thank you.
Brilliant easy to understand info. Thank you
I love the tip Bro thanks
Very helpful ,thankyou!!
great tip...thank you!!!
Simple yet effective! Thank you!
Nice tip brutha. Newly mobile DJ. I got into it because of love of music, plus many of my friends say that I have a voice that should be on the radio (or at least behind the mic). For all those who are well advance, kuddos. But for a beginner like me, this is well appreciated info. Thank you much.
Slick. I'm a photographer, but it's interesting to watch other things like this. Especially a person who also could have a gig at a wedding.
That was good.....THANKS DUDE!!!
He's a good instructor.

did a dj scratch academy with this guy last year at the mobile beat convention in Vegas. Cool as guy and his whole crew. This has nothing ot do with the video at all to be honest, I do my own thing and it has been working for 19 years so yah =)
Sometimes a loop beat will work just turn it down a little. Seen that too.

Good
Now with Serato flip you can creat extended intros for such an occasion.
Mac Joseph Or just use Beat Jumps to accomplish the same thing without having to pay for Serato Flip.
Lol yea or just get traktor and use Remix Decks.lol
@@bboymac84 now we have serato stems lol
@@thirdletterc yup! But VDJ sound wayyyy cleaner
I like the idea of the instrumental track and I suggest that to couples...noooooo they want the original song....”please no remixes”...so I get louder over the vocals during introduction...then I get yelled at for that as I keep smiling while they’re angry😂😂😂🙄
Music?
How did you connect the ddj 1000 with Serato please?
I wish..that's an SZ
hapa the Jedi
just give me link of that skin!! thank you
My son is also named Estrada Bradshaw
What's the name of the track????
+Brandon Quezada Rockwell Powers - Alive
What's the name of that first track
+Rickey Thomas Rockwell Powers - Alive
What was that first song??
+ninjaofmadness Rockwell Powers - Alive
That’s called hitting the Post. The song should have intro time calculated to know your talk time.
"introducing Francine and Estrada Bradshaw...lmaoooo could he have made up a more random and peculiar name? Great tips though!
Wedding & Broadcast 101 Don't fight vocals in radio they have a count down or track talk up.
Try telling that to the BBC Radio One folk. lol
Girl to Danielle Luciano
Bride to Jessica massey

A match made in [ ].

Dude at first glance it looked like medical diagrams on the board behind you
I heard what you said but if you don't hear what you said I must be something wrong with your hearing
Dudes name is always said first
lol
These tips were pretty basic.... honestly didn't help me much.
I always say you're not a dj till u do weddings... i used to be scared of the microphon,. Still do, but not as much
I disagree with all this nonsense.
100 % useless!
