This is a known issue on these engines. the 3.3 and 3.8 engine blocks are a crap design. Hyundai will not assist if vehicle is out of warranty. I reached out to the Hunan Solutions and this is the most popular kit they sell.. I am thinking of trying a class action suite.
How did much did you charge For this Service??? My head is cracked and my car has never overheated I sent my car to the dealership for a recall fix problem And my radiator needed flushing... And then Kia tells me my head is cracked So went to pick it up And now my Car is overheating???? So i had it towed home. This car is a 2015 with only 67,000 miles. I just paid it off. I don't know what to do now??? Any suggestions Mr Mechanic?? Thanks 😊
If you haven't had it fixed yet, I can tell you that if its a four cylinder engine, and the cylinder head is cracked, you could be looking at over $2,000. A six cylinder will be much more.
