I actually bought this due to it's affordability, but then I saw that Freak Athlete had a product coming out which also allowed for GHD, Reverse Hyper, and then "upgraded" to included Bulgarian Split Squats and Hip Thrusts. I cancelled the Base Blocks order and opted for the Freak Athlete version because I have to ad hoc most of those exercises at home, so it is nice to have a machine which can function for those. Only issue is now I have to wait until December to receive it.

Just checked that out, looks interesting, would wait to see a review on it though as I can see the ghd/reverse hyper set up looks rickety as fuck, also the pricing almost doubles this, also based on the comments,
it seems like GGR has already got there eyes on it for review also, they’re probably waiting for there test unit 😂

I don't see a GHD on that. What they call "GHD sit ups" is no different than a Roman Chair. It seems like they tried real hard to sneak the GHD moniker into the description but nowhere does it allow you to use it like a GHD by doing Glute/Ham raises.

    • @pimpleonureye

It allows for nordic curls and reverse hypers, that's all the glute and ham exercise I need from it

Maybe wait for their GHD pad insert, which will be available by November to perform proper GHRs and also the final unit with laser etched numbers/angles. Joe Gray had many favorable things to say about it. Once the GHR issue was solved it became the unit for me. Glad I waited because the decision-making process shifted from Tib-Bar to Shogun, and now finally settled on Freak.

I just got my Shogun Nord-Ex a few days ago, and so far I really like it. Besides having good padding and feeling stable, it has one big advantage over this one and any others I have seen so far. It's the fact that the foot plate and knee pad can stay perpendicular and parallel to the floor when you raise the front for incremental nordic curls. That alone made it worth the price to me.

Waiting on FA Nordic Hyper right now. I have some baseblocks gear including their dedicated GSP Nordic which is chill.
I am very excited about the new baseblocks drop coming that looks like pull-up/dip combo station. It seems like a last minute release that was delayed…
