I actually bought this due to it's affordability, but then I saw that Freak Athlete had a product coming out which also allowed for GHD, Reverse Hyper, and then "upgraded" to included Bulgarian Split Squats and Hip Thrusts. I cancelled the Base Blocks order and opted for the Freak Athlete version because I have to ad hoc most of those exercises at home, so it is nice to have a machine which can function for those. Only issue is now I have to wait until December to receive it.
Just checked that out, looks interesting, would wait to see a review on it though as I can see the ghd/reverse hyper set up looks rickety as fuck, also the pricing almost doubles this, also based on the comments,
it seems like GGR has already got there eyes on it for review also, they’re probably waiting for there test unit 😂
You should of waited 🤣😂 Freak Athlete looks like the best
@@konradkitrys The GHD weighs about 100lbs so I doubt it's rickety
I don't see a GHD on that. What they call "GHD sit ups" is no different than a Roman Chair. It seems like they tried real hard to sneak the GHD moniker into the description but nowhere does it allow you to use it like a GHD by doing Glute/Ham raises.
It allows for nordic curls and reverse hypers, that's all the glute and ham exercise I need from it
I'm waiting for that freak athlete nordic hyperextension unit review Coop!
Same here!!!!🎉
Same. - Coop
Maybe wait for their GHD pad insert, which will be available by November to perform proper GHRs and also the final unit with laser etched numbers/angles. Joe Gray had many favorable things to say about it. Once the GHR issue was solved it became the unit for me. Glad I waited because the decision-making process shifted from Tib-Bar to Shogun, and now finally settled on Freak.
@@stevenkoos nice!
I just got my Shogun Nord-Ex a few days ago, and so far I really like it. Besides having good padding and feeling stable, it has one big advantage over this one and any others I have seen so far. It's the fact that the foot plate and knee pad can stay perpendicular and parallel to the floor when you raise the front for incremental nordic curls. That alone made it worth the price to me.
Very interested in this piece of equipment. Coop, thanks for the review!
Thanks so much for the great review. Loved it.
Will you be reviewing the Freak Athlete Nordic Hyper anytime soon?
Yes. - Coop
"Good enough range of motion." (Dr. Mike has entered the chat)
screw him
😆
I pre-ordered the Nordic Hyperextension 4 - 1, I think they sent you one recently Coop!
I have the tibbar guy unit. I love it. Only complaint is no space for the man parts
Please* Review: 1. Freak athlete's Nordic Hyperextension MSRP $900 but $200 off if preorder 2. Bulletproof's PCD MSRP $2600 without accessories... thank you
Both in the works - Coop
Freak Athlete hands down the best
They should make it to accommodate hip thrust where the side can attached band and the ankle cushion can extend higher as the back rest for hip thrust
Never noticed before you have gray eyes. Thanks for the review.
Waiting on FA Nordic Hyper right now. I have some baseblocks gear including their dedicated GSP Nordic which is chill.
I am very excited about the new baseblocks drop coming that looks like pull-up/dip combo station. It seems like a last minute release that was delayed…
Once the Nordic Hyper comes in and if baseblocks ever releases that new unit I’m hoping I’ll be sorted for a while
Damn I was hoping this was going to be for the Freak Athlete nordic GHD.
8:09 use strong magnets instead of bolts for quick add and removal . Boom!
I just have that cheap Nordic door anchor from Amazon.
Works like a charm!
I was hoping you’d compare to the freak athlete nordic hyper. I’ve been considering getting one but there’s just not a lot of reviews on it
I have the Nordic Back Extension machines from the Tib Bar Guy, and love it. Any chance we could see a review here? This one also allows you to adjust the length of the pad for back extensions to account for users of different heights.
Same here I love mine!! And it’s also not $715 it’s much cheaper I think I paid around $530 with shipping
Freak Athletes up next 👀👀
I have a Nordic stick that I attach under a door or rack. This is a lot unless ya wanna do some dumbbell preachers with it.
There was a rogue Nordic bench being sold on fb market for $300 near me and I couldn’t bring myself to buy it since it only did one thing and can’t even be stored vertically! I’m really shocked that everyone else has so much versatility baked into the product whereas rogue doesn’t in this case.
I preordered the one from freak athlete
Going to need a review on the freak athlete version. Go lions LU!!!!
What if weighted back extensions was our primary focus instead of nordic curls? What do you recommend for that?
Cheaper way to perform Nordics - Thompson Fat Pad and Spud Inc. Glute Ham Strap placed around the Achilles heel to hold your feet in place. Problem solved
Please review the Squatz Pluto and Apollo home gyms, and the Motion Space Smart Trainer.
Are you gonna get Freak Athlete 4-1 before November for review? Because I preordered
Can you please do an updated Home gym build guide around the 1k - 1.5k total.
Funny bc I've been looking for something like this, but yeah idk if I'd pull the trigger until they make some improvements for back extensions like full range of motion, more adjustable bench/pad length, more stable base, etc.
Also lol at the Beavis and Butthead laugh after each man canyon pad edit.
check out the freak athlete nordic hyperextension! that thing looks like a beast!
@@docyogi now that's what im talkin about
Привет дружище !!! Я подписан на тебя 3 года!! Я открыл маленькие 2 студии 82 квадрата !! Спасибо за мотивацию!!! Честно не знаю Английский , но смотрю все равно ! Привет с России!❤❤❤
😂
Coop there is an air bike you should see: Lycan Air Bike. Fan bike with magnetic resistance and movable arms. ¿Is there the possibility for your next round include air bikes with magnetic resistance?
Can you please do a review on the Walmart BalanceFrom BF-PS Sisyphos Push Sled?
Please review the Bulletproof one
Hey Coop could you please review the LSG GRK200 10-in-1 Home Gym?
I wonder if it's worth trying to DIY something that has the functionality?
Nordic mini is on sale for $149 - what do you think about this vs that one at that sale price?
It’s scientifically referred to as the “junkular region” Coop.
Great review brotha! Just for reference, how tall are you? Some of us are over 6’4 so we gotta ratio the length of these benches to height, etc
Thanks 👊
I feel like the Nordic stick is the way to go for the price.
Please, Please, Please Review (The Tib Bar Guy Nordic Back Extension Machine V2)
does it fit a 5 foot 2 inch person
Thx Coop. What's your height? Thinking about the back extensions and where this might hit my hips/giblets
I recall him saying he is about 5’9” when he was reviewing the Ironmaster Bench Pro. I recall because I’m the same height.
Seems to me the easiest thing is to just leave the removable giblets pad off all the time. It doesn't look like it would affect progressive nordic curls with the pad absent.
All you need is the nordstick.
How tall is coop? Seems like the back extension works only for his exact height.
Just gonna low key hit a almost full Nordic, no big deal.
Anyone that is 6 feet tall that can say whether back extensions will be reasoneable to do on this thing?
Will it accommodate a 6"7 235 lb man?
Honestly, I think it would feel uncomfortable at that height. - Coop
I rather buy 2 crashpads with a dual roller so I can use it for other things instead of nordic curl.
Has he done freak athlete machine?
Not yet
Just get a friend to hold your feet, a pad for your knees, and a box for back extensions. Saves you a zillion dollars lol
Where get friend?
I have no friends, only muscles. And my muscles hate me.
that requires getting some friends, not a realistic option for me😅
@@andersbjrnsen7203Same here, 😆😆😝😝🙌🏾
Freak athlete’s looks better
Blorp
Oh, you answered my question, it will not, ok, thanks. They never make stuff for us, big guys .
7:24 So 6' 6" not a good match up?
I just remove my giblets before I do the exercise and reattach them afterwards.
