@@DestructiveCreativity the only problem is your information is totally off. FEMALE ticks exclusively transmit the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease. What are you talking about?

Wow... another fantastic video... and of course a bit creepy-crawly! That muffin example... dang, great disgusting object lesson... spot-on (pun not intended)! Super-informative too, love the research you put into things... I had NO idea that a tick would have to be on you for 36 hours for Lyme disease! Good thing these guys only average one meal per cycle... can you imagine if they had multiple... we'd never get away from them!!!

Not to scare you but!Hyalomma Ticks: Since the Hyalomma tick is native to regions with harsh-desert environmental conditions with few hosts available on which to feed, it has adapted in a truly unusual way. This monster tick will literally chase its host to get its blood meal! Found in woodlands, dunes, gardens, and meadows, Hyalomma ticks sense body heat, vibrations, or scents of hosts when nearby, and run towards the host to feed on their blood. It is said that they will stalk their hosts for up to 10 minutes, and travel hundreds of feet. And that can find hosts by heat, scent, or sight from up to 30 feet away.

I was trying to think how you could make these into superheroes for kids' stories, but I think they're much better suited for the villain role. But you never know - after all, dinosaurs got rehabilitated!
