Perfect! Just what I'm looking for. We have two plastic top folding tables. From constant use, they are bowed in the middle from constantly pressing down on it. Thank you for your ideas. Perfect !!!
Not sure what wood. But what a good idea. I have two of these tables. Now I know what to do if they ever get damaged. I’d rather have the wood then the plastic. Looked great
I want to do something like this. But I do not want to make some thing thats too heavy for my wife. How much does the table weigh, and are there any parts where you think you could cut weight? Clearly the lightest would i can find would be a good start.
NOW you can make a little wooden dolly with wheels on it so you can cart it around instead of carrying it. 🤔 but this is actually one of the best foldable repurposed tables ive seen !!
Absolutely beautiful work❤

Wood looks great.

Looks great! Bummer about the old spar varnish. You showed great patience...I might have burned the entire thing....
Beautiful job!
Genius . Thank you .
could the frame from one of these tables (perhaps a non-folding version) simply be attached to a solid wood top?

Thank you so much. If it weren't for you I probably would have broke the legs trying to fold them back in.
You could have just screw to to the old top not do all that work.
True, a little more weight, but true.
