It does look like those good old-fashioned Swiss edelweiss-patterned shirts. However, I agree that the away shirt is disappointing, especially given the cool concept that it's based on. A missed opportunity for sure! 🙁 I agree that the Spain home shirt is very underwhelming. The textured look is kinda cool, but that's about it. I don't know why they would omit the dark blue accents from the shirt like that. Those accents always provide some nice contrast to balance out the "hot" red/yellow combo, and they can function as a cool shadow effect. Without it, the shirt looks really flat and incomplete, and not even the texture can save it. It's a damn shame that Croatia decided to try the "zoomed in" thing. I don't know what else to say about it either. I actually think their away shirt is top-notch, which is not easy to pull off with a white one. I often don't like it when the colors of a badge are altered on away/3rd/special shirts, but this one looks really sharp, and the cuff pattern is super cool and interesting. I love designs that incorporate elements of nature that are unique to a particular place, and this one is a true banger. LOL Buying and flying that modified English flag just to piss off the knuckle-dragging homophobes/transphobes is such an A+ savage move. Well played! JK is throwing a MASSIVE fit right now! 🤣 As far as the England shirts go, while I think they absolutely nailed that "classic" England look with the home shirt, I've honestly never been a big fan of that look to begin with, so I definitely don't like it as much as you do. I totally dig the away shirt, though! For me, those accent colors are gorgeous and they look especially awesome contrasted against that wonderful deep dusty purple. However, I agree that they should probably have that on more than just the sides. Poland's home shirt is utterly unremarkable, but I do like the textured pattern on the away shirt. I think the Netherlands' home shirt is great. The texture pattern reminds me of thick-ass corduroy, which I love. The away shirt, however, is horrendous! It looks like a goddamn bus seat! 😂 Oh man, the Jugendstil-style pattern on the Austria home shirt is amazing! Jugendstil was basically the Germanic branch of art nouveau, one of the greatest art styles of all time. I'm from San Francisco (born and raised), and our world-famous style of psychedelic posters that were produced by our local artists here in the 60s and early 70s were heavily inspired by art nouveau. So as much as I don't like that team, I have to admit that their new home shirt looks pretty groovy. It's good to see cool cultural elements like that. Their away shirt, however, is an extremely ugly piece of garbage that they should be absolutely ashamed of. F- for that one. 🗑 I 100% agree about France. THIS RIGHT HERE is how to do a timeless classic football kit. Each and every element is authentically vintage France: the royal blue, the full tricolor bands (like a Meilleur Ouvrier de France chef jacket), the nice phat full-color golden rooster badge, the numbering style, and the way the whole kit altogether looks like a French flag. C'est magnifique! 👌I actually like the pinstripe style of the away shirt too. They pull it off quite well. My goodness, Belgium (my other favorite team in Europe) came through BIG with these kits! Wow! That home shirt is legitimately MAJESTIC. That lovely deep strong red, the geometric pattern, and the black and gold accents are all perfectly done, and all those elements come together beautifully as a whole. It's just a really pleasant shirt to look at! And you best believe I am SO in love with that Tintin away kit! Besides the awesomeness of that whole culturally meaningful concept, I'm a huge fan of blue/brown color combos, which are abundant in nature, but are criminally underrated and underutilized (the 2012 Vancouver Whitecaps 3rd kit was easily one of the best in MLS history, and I will die on this hill). The Slovakia home shirt is, well, nothing. Just a plain white t-shirt that looks terrible in certain lighting with some logos and numbers lazily slapped on it. Sadly, the away shirt isn't much better. I'm down with those Romania shirts though! I think those strips on the sides are super cool. They feature emblems of the five symbolic animals of Romania: the golden eagle, the bull, the dolphin, the black eagle, and the lion. I also like the sleeve cuffs. Ukraine's shirts aren't BAD, but there's just nothing to say about them at all. Meh. I know Turkey's design is very simple and predictable, but I still think it looks good. Georgia's home shirt is super stylish and distinctive. I don't always like black alternates (mainly because every damn sports team under the sun tried it when it was trendy, whether they should have or not), but Georgia's away kit is genuinely fly af! The Portugal home shirt is nothing spectacular, but it's ok. I do like the way they did the accent stripes on the cuffs. The tile pattern on the away shirt is SICK though. Very nice. I agree about the Czechia shirt. I'm a fan of that old-school badge pattern thing. No comment on the away shirt. LOL Damn, I can't believe I just did an entire review-along with you! That was not planned, but once I started, I just had to finish (although I did it in a few sittings). LMFAO
It’s honestly criminal that Josip Ilicic, one of the greatest and most underrated “streets won’t forget” footballers of the past decade, finally makes it to a major international tournament with Slovenia, and has to wear that abomination…
I’m scared for the Scotland rating, well at least the Home kit I think the away kit is gorgeous Edit: MAXWELL WHAT THE FUCK THAT IMAGE DOESNT DO THE AWAY KIT JUSTICE I WANT A RETRIAL
What pisses me off about Portugal's away shirt is that the pattern is just a bunch of gibberish. They could've picked any pattern from any existing tiles across the country, but they went for gibberish. Looks nice tho. It'll probably be the best sold shirt ever.
I feel like a generic pattern for the azulejos is more representative of the entire country, unless you are talking about some pattern which represents the entire country, which yes, would be good
Well,he wants to emphasize that country kits should be representing what their country is,it doesn't have to be all over the place nor have to be white shirts 🤣
lets take Czechia as a kit example, the home shirt, looks good, why not put the same design on the away shirt aswell in a different color if you dont have a unique thing going like portugal ? is that impossible ?
Turkiye is fucking hilarious man. The shirt is white, and then they just slap the flag on there. It's like their shirt is a piece of paper with a flag stamped on it. 10/10 effort
As someone who loves Slovakia and Slovenia and has been there, they're super beautiful countries with amazing culture and nature, and they're not unexciting at all. I would love to buy a shirt of one of these countries if they had a good one. Albania's shirts are the best to me, all 3 of them.
alright let me explain this... big nations have simplier and less creative kits because companies like adidas and nike control the designs under their contract. To keep cost low they go for minimalistic styles because they know fans gonna buy it anyways (its all pre-calculated). Adidas for example provides more sponsorship money but dicates the design, usally also using their own designers. Smaller countires (like in this video) might not get big sponsorship but they can create unique and creative kits with their own design because they usally working with less known kit sponsors.
Never commented how good your music selection is, not just in this video in particular but in general, can tell you put a lot of effort into your videos, keep it up with the W content
Here in Portugal everyone literally loves the away kit and what it symbolizes. The blue and white not only symbolize the Azuleijos, but they're also a reference to Portugal's old flag colors during its monarchy days.
All 3 of the kits are really really nice, like "I might buy this" kind of nice, I think whenever you get a feeling you want to buy a kit that's one of the best compliments to said kit
18:29 Maxwell its pronounced "ah-zoo-, le, -zh, oo, sh" (for english speakers its easier to understand this way ). In portuguese we dont have the j "h" sound that is present in spanish
I’m not gonna lie but Georgia’s shirt slaps. I would rate that as an A. Also I do like the ideas of Romania’s and Scotland’s but just needed more cultural context like Portugal’s blue shirt (which I would rate as A++). Slovenia and Slovakia was poor! Czechia is another underrated one as I do like the passport stamp effect on the shirt
I also noticed the similarities between the '06 and this year's German home shirts. Also, their away shirt is at least as bad as the '06 number, and as it was at that tournament, I really hope they don't get to wear it. I have a feeling, however, that they'll find an excuse to wear it.
18:35 Portubros don't get to steal the azulejo heritage for themselves alone. Althought the kit is better than our away kit for sure. I would have liked our kit with a gualda/yellow colour closer to the one on the flag. I love that shade of orangish yellow.
Yeah, I really don't know what the hell Nike is doing with our kits. Their design of Slovenia's kits has been steadily going downhill, the white, blue and green design are our national sporting colours, there's a lot of stuff you can do with them, and as you've said, we have that iconic Triglav mountain pattern... And their clever idea is to just represent it in a barely visible form in that stripe and the icon on the chest. Instead of using the green and blue to the best they can and make a bold design across the entire shirt.
if there's anything to learn from those past couple tournaments its that smaller nations should go with smaller brands like macron, hummel, kappa etc. since the big brand either only care about the likes of spain and germany or not at all (looking at puma)
My favorite part of the Albania shirt is that I bought the authentic shirt for $25 in a shop in Albania when I was there last summer and I wear it out because I genuinely like it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I should add that I have the red home kit and that they have an absolute banger of a third kit, it's all black with the same two-headed eagle in the same place. It works well imo.

LOL
Damn, I can't believe I just did an entire review-along with you! That was not planned, but once I started, I just had to finish (although I did it in a few sittings). LMFAO
The Scotland away shirt is actually beautiful in my OPINION
The Scotland away top image looked so bright you can hardly see it’s blue. Looks way better in person
It’s honestly criminal that Josip Ilicic, one of the greatest and most underrated “streets won’t forget” footballers of the past decade, finally makes it to a major international tournament with Slovenia, and has to wear that abomination…
I’m scared for the Scotland rating, well at least the Home kit I think the away kit is gorgeous
Edit: MAXWELL WHAT THE FUCK THAT IMAGE DOESNT DO THE AWAY KIT JUSTICE I WANT A RETRIAL
A RETRIAL 😂
Ive seen people call the German away kit everything from s to f
i kinda like it probs around an a
What pisses me off about Portugal's away shirt is that the pattern is just a bunch of gibberish. They could've picked any pattern from any existing tiles across the country, but they went for gibberish. Looks nice tho. It'll probably be the best sold shirt ever.
On the other side, I'm glad Portugal finally have nice away kit, after previous records, huhuhu
I feel like a generic pattern for the azulejos is more representative of the entire country, unless you are talking about some pattern which represents the entire country, which yes, would be good
You graded these way too hard. Not every shirt has to have a fancy design 😂
Well,he wants to emphasize that country kits should be representing what their country is,it doesn't have to be all over the place nor have to be white shirts 🤣
How much are nike and adidas charging for these shirts?
lets take Czechia as a kit example, the home shirt, looks good, why not put the same design on the away shirt aswell in a different color if you dont have a unique thing going like portugal ? is that impossible ?
@@felixmustermann790 Sometimes putting extra design on the kit makes it way too crowded and mesh. It's very fine line.
good amount were ass, though germany's ones were harsh
The german away kit is sooo nice!
Not everybody is into rainbows.
@@VickzqIt's just purple.
@@Vickzq You must be ret@rd3d af if your think the purple color gradient is a rainbow.
Georgia having Saint George slaying the dragon as their badge is one of the coldest things ive seen on a kit, I wish them success
Watching you praying for my country was not on my 2024 bingo.
Dang didn’t expect you to be here
love the memes
WE GOT MAQWELL TALKING ABOUT DJAVOLA VAROŠ BEFORE GTA 6 🔥🗣🔊📢
I love having dinner while watching Maqwell losing his mind over some shirts!
Turkiye is fucking hilarious man. The shirt is white, and then they just slap the flag on there. It's like their shirt is a piece of paper with a flag stamped on it. 10/10 effort
The Tintin kit goes hard
Z for Croatia?
OK THIS MAN IS ON SOME GOOD SHIET AND CAN I HAVE SOME?
Never commented how good your music selection is, not just in this video in particular but in general, can tell you put a lot of effort into your videos, keep it up with the W content
5:54 That is relatable 😂. Though that's also a lot of us if we saw you irl ❤.
Netherlands home kit looks like those bus seets textures to keep all the dust in
Here in Portugal everyone literally loves the away kit and what it symbolizes. The blue and white not only symbolize the Azuleijos, but they're also a reference to Portugal's old flag colors during its monarchy days.
That england kit was the reason i wanna watch england this euro but it doesnt change my mind to hope they showed they're dissasterclass in whole comps
21:15 Maqwell goes on a *fucking rant!!!*
22:30 Guys I think we broke him lads…
6:18 as an albanian LETS GOOOOOOO MAQWELL HIMSELF THINKS IT'S AN A+
really good move to pick Macron. you can tell the smaller brands care a lot more.
That kit is gorgeous
Y'all 3rd kit is also lit af frfrfr (black one)
All 3 of the kits are really really nice, like "I might buy this" kind of nice, I think whenever you get a feeling you want to buy a kit that's one of the best compliments to said kit
Deserved. Your kits are gorgeous. Absolutely sublime.
insanity = chance of psg having success in europe
I proudly say i was there back in the day for Euro 2021 kit grades!!!
happy to see you still around putting up good videos brother
18:29 Maxwell its pronounced "ah-zoo-, le, -zh, oo, sh" (for english speakers its easier to understand this way ). In portuguese we dont have the j "h" sound that is present in spanish
babe wake up maqwell posted
That Belgium kit has a place already in my collection. Still need to get it, but I've already manifested it. Also, third Albania kit is also lit
9:50 dude, I genuinely laughed out loud. Great job!
So corny
What even is that?
4:28 I am from Croatia and I think you gave as a really high grade. I don't think we deserve it. The away kit grade is too low, so it balances out.
Istina, ovo je užasno šta mi imamo 😅
Da je domaća ista kao gostujuća, ali crveno bijela s plavim crtama dolje, bila bi jedna od najboljih na prvenstvu.
My reaction to the Turkish jersey was almost identical 😅 That crest could poke your eye out
Germanys Away Shirt is the best selling Away Shirt in History from Adidas, just saying...
Lots of gae nowadays no wonder!
2:24 I think Maqwell is monitored by the Hungarian Secret Service
I also noticed the similarities between the '06 and this year's German home shirts. Also, their away shirt is at least as bad as the '06 number, and as it was at that tournament, I really hope they don't get to wear it. I have a feeling, however, that they'll find an excuse to wear it.
Of course they will do virtue signalling...
18:35 Portubros don't get to steal the azulejo heritage for themselves alone.
Althought the kit is better than our away kit for sure.
I would have liked our kit with a gualda/yellow colour closer to the one on the flag. I love that shade of orangish yellow.
I am waiting patiently for the copa america kit grading.
Crotia is really either an F or a C 🗿
worst jersey ever IMO... and I'm Croatian... will not buy ...
I swear if they use the away design for home, it'll be cooked far better that we have now
NGL, I actually love both the France shirts. Much more 70's/80's inspired than before!
Blud ain't beating the white shirt allegations
Germanys pink one is a case where it looks way better when you see the players actually run around with it with the full kit
Netherlands away looks like a bus seat😂
me at 2:24 when someone comes in and see what i dont want them to see
The Poland shirt looks like a free shirt you get when you buy two sixpacks of Tyskie
For anyone who doesn’t understand the 44 incident, they look like the logo of the SS
We all expected this video to come at some point
Albania's home kit is the only one that was done justice to this year by the kit manufacturers
I see the designer of the Dutch away shirt once came to work by bus and then this happened.
But the more I look at this shirt the more I like it!
Take a shot whenever Maqwell grades a plain white jersey an F or whenever Puma releases an atrocity.
The whole video is just Maxwell slowly losing the will to live 😂
Bro you got WHACK fashion sense
16:27 the spin-off of "Maxwell Losing His Mind Again" from San Marino video
Ok, we need more of this fashion police lore 😂
14:32 A slight error, that was a home shirt. But yeah, I agree with the F and T ratings, just what on earth is that?
The equipment upgrade made me laugh so hard. Glad you still the same. Love you.
The england shirt loses a grade when you see it from a distance and notice the badge is just a hashtag
The rant at the end was brilliant. 10/10 video. Hopefully he also makes a Copa America kits video.
Belgium away shirt was designed to convince De Bruyne that he's playing for Man City so that he can actually perform
