Man, great review and playing. Considering buying one of these. And I am not a huge fan of the Orange, normally too 'fizzy' for me... the fact that you can pull those tones from it just blows me away. The detail and articulation that Suhr is producing is stunning.
Thanks very much for the kind words. If you’re after an S type guitar, I’d recommend Suhr every time! I think Orange are often overlooked for their lower to medium gain tones. They’ve become heavily associated with Detuned high gain tones, which are cool, but I prefer the vintage inspired tones. It’s all subjective, but I wouldn’t choose a different amp to use. Everything I need! Thanks for watching and I hope you find the guitar you’re looking for. 👍

The Rockerverb is more modern sounding and has an independent clean channel. The OR30 has more of a spongy feel and vintage inspired gain. If you could blend both, that would be immense. Obviously Adam Jones blends different amps, so it’s hard to say. I’d probably lean more towards the RV for modern sounds.
As much as the relic haters have to contribute to this conversation, their opinions are literally superficial. I bought a Classic T, I sold all my other telecasters. The compound radius, stainless frets, and PLEK made it my go to. Suhr’s take on the classics is very welcome. These are all improvements to the guitars they build that Fender missed the bus on for the sake of profitability. I looked at CS Postmoderns to compare, no comparison. There is a reason John Suhr was a Custom Shop masterbuilder prior to moving along. Excellent instruments that are built by players for players. Fender feels like it’s built by accountants for players, just phoning it in on a formula created when Leo still owned the company. Don’t play a Suhr if you are not prepared to purchase one.
love my suhr classic pro sss, but i got a separate pick guard with an ssv. ive had the ssv pick guard on for a while, thinking of swapping back to the 3 single coil guard. love how balanced those 3 single coils were.
Nice. Yes there is a significant volume difference between the single coils and the HB, but I kind of like it. It generates more tonal options without using pedals or channel switching. Thanks for watching 👍
I picked one up from 09 in Sunburst... I like it but it is SSS not HSS like yours... I want to get a HSS pickguard at some point ... Hopefully before I grow out of favor for it... Not much on a single coil bridge pickup
@@DannyBeardsley sure absolutely... I have them in other strat types I own... Wanted the full size for the visual impact as well... But maybe I put one in?
Thanks for watching. HSS has to be the most versatile setup on a guitar, everything from crystal cleans to beefed up, punchy crunch. Playing a Strat encourages me to play a little differently, I imagine that’s the same for a lot of players. I agree! No matter what guitars we have, there’s always something else 🤣 Thanks again and all the best.
Sorry to hear that. I would recommend raising the string action, add a little more neck relief and consider installing a heavier gauge string. 👍 Thanks for watching.
@@DannyBeardsley Fantastic video. The only thing I wish you'd demoed was the tremolo. I like being able to pull up a little, enough to do a decent upward vibrato with the bar. Does the classic bridge accommodate that?
@School-xo1dn Thanks very much. The way the trem is set up is floating above the body, which would probably allow a semi tone (possibly a tone at a push, I’ve not checked) of pitch before colliding with the top of the body. Suhr do offer a custom option on their website where you can route the body to allow more trem movement though👍 Worth mentioning the trem & tuning is incredibly stable.

Very nice. That clean tone demo song sounds like a lost Baroness track.
Thanks very much for watching. It’s a wonderful guitar and the cleans are very inspiring. I’ll have to check them out.

Well done my friend. Probably getting one of these this week.
Thanks very much. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy the guitar!
I'm looking at buying one of these this weekend, and this was very helpful!! Thanks. (Great playing, too!!)
Thanks for watching. That’s very exciting. I hope you find and enjoy the new guitar.
Very kind. Thank you! 🙏
Awesome!!
Thanks for watching 👍
Great review! Kudos for the James Norbert Ivanyi t-shirt😎
Thanks very much. Happy to meet another Ivanyi fan. 🙏
Awesome video, and playing dude!
Thanks very much, dude! It’s an awesome guitar 👍
How would you compare the OR30 vs the Rockerverb? What would you say would get you a better Tool style, Adam Jones type of riffage?
Thanks in advance.

Great demo. 🎉

I was sold the moment I tried out this guitar! It’s an incredibly inspiring instrument.
Thanks for watching 👍

You could get a bridge stacked single coil. That way you don’t have to change the pick guard. Loads of options out there.
Thanks for watching 👍

Nice playing
That’s very kind. Thanks very much for watching.
Apologies for how long the video is. I had too much fun playing this guitar. 👍
Nice use of hybrid picking!
Thanks very much 🙏
lovely guitar ! i kinda want to get a hss style and eventually sell some others that i seldom play, its a terrible affliction guitars !

Recently got one of these , find when I dig in ,get fret buzz. Really annoying 😢
Sorry to hear that.

That's just a setup issue.
@midwaymonster30 Agreed 👍
Hi, how does the tuning hold up when using the trem? Thanks.
Absolutely rock solid 👍👍👍
these things can take a beating and stay perfectly in tune.
Demo reminds me of Pete Thorn.
The highest compliment there is. Thanks very much for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video! 👍
