- Here is an onboard from the Ferrari FXX K at the recent 2016 Ferrari World Finals in Florida. 338 KPH (211 MPH) on the front straight as you can see on the center dash. What an epic car to drive at Daytona!

@@ballaking1000 Neither do you, you don't know how much time he's spent in the car. What we can know from watching this video is the guy has excellent car control and is willing to bring the car to its limits... which is better than at least 95% of drivers.

He isn't a "normal" rich guy, to drive the FXX K you need to be a Ferrari Test pilot (yes pilots have lots of money, but they do a very stressful and difficult work)

It sure doesn't look easy controlling the car while braking hard at 0:40, but you do it well
Eddie Russell The biggest issue contributing to that is Daytona has several braking zones that are simply not straight. It's quite difficult to find the optimal brake balance, rear rebound, and differential settings for the curved braking zones of turn 5 and more notably turn 1.
On the banking the car tries to understeer once braking, but coming off of the banking to the flat of the infield below the double yellow line the balance quickly shifts to an oversteer tendency. All while the fronts are struggling for grip due to the combination of turning and braking loads placed on the tires. Too much forward brake? The car will try to lock the fronts and will show a large amount of understeer all the way through the corner. Too much rear brake? The car will do as it does in the video. The fronts will grip much better, however the excess rear braking load sacrifices the rear tires' cornering potential and makes it very easy to initiate rear lock-up. The trick is finding the optimal set of adjustments that minimizes the braking force placed on the front tires (better turning potential), while still keeping the rear tires connected to the road. The only problem is, that optimal is very much a moving target. The presence of this corner forces the driver to make numerous adjustments across a single hot lap for maximum performance in the two types of brake zones, with more adjustments required across the entirety of a fuel stint in race conditions.
Long story short, Daytona is a much more challenging road circuit than people understand it to be.

@@BeanDip96_ That's why many, right before the braking point into turn 1; will point the car at the spot (or very near) that they plan to really turn-in. This allows for a more straight braking line for harder deceleration as well as there's less having to modulate steering vs. braking inputs. Normally with braking hard means braking later, but for this corner that is unwise cause the typical braking point that goes somewhat wide (to cut in on the last bit of the corner) is a much longer racing line and just by pointing the car more left and hitting the brakes at the same time you are already braking late. Of course a skilled driver can 'feel out' the car and know which line is fastest for the setup they have and will find that perfect balance but for drivers who are either not as confident or not in tune with their cars setup can do like I said and try to straighten out the braking line more without adding too much to their times.

Every ac mod of Daytona has you fly through the wall on the oval section. I’ve heard that adding walls to banked turns in AC is near impossible.

Amazing car...but I don't understand why they made the stupid decision to not make the paddle shifters attached to the wheel so they turn with it??? 458 Italia is the same way.
@DESTROYER67732 ferrari and others do it this way because u always know where is up/ down shifter. maybe u cant imagine it when u sit front of ur computer but when u driving on the track and u moving ur steeling wheel many times left and right u dont know where shifter is when its turing with steeringwheel, particularly when u turn the wheel 180 (or more) degrees. So, when shifters stay in one position all the time u always know where is up and down - its much much better than moving with steering
DmagicTV I agree it is better this way. But I also think that when I drive this might be confusing a bit more than attached ones, attached are like F1 but you have to keep your hands in one place otherwise, ye it might get confusing.
@@MOTOPATRYK that's a good point, but the thing is with race oriented cars you never turn them hand-over-hand like a street car. I'd say you never really move much past 90 degrees in either direction and you keep your hands stationary on the wheel. I've driven a 458 Italia on a track and the paddles being stationary made it worse, not better.
Watch the driver in this video and you'll see what I mean. Not even once does he turn past 90 degrees or move his hands from their position. Which means it would be far better to have the paddles attached to the wheel. Think about if you had the wheel turned 90 degrees left, for example, and needed to upshift. The paddle would be in a weird spot.

First go contact ferrari and say 'Hey I want to buy your finest Ferrari FXX K sim games' and they will respond with 'sure that will be 3 million BUT you can only drive it on the tracks we want to bring it to and you can't take it home and shipping costs are 2500 dollars with taxes and optional crew is 10,000 dollars and we dont deliver at all locations ok bye :)' then get 3 million and buy one and ask what tracks they want to bring it to and they will be respondind in a simple way 'Preferably a italian track'
