For a long time, I've resented Camilla because of her role in Charles and Diana's breakup. But with the quiet way she has always supported Charles and the Royal Family amidst the hate and resentment she has received from the public throughout the years, I have come to accept her. Diana will always have a special place in my heart and she will always be the mother to the heir to the throne. When Charles passes on, Camilla's time will end as well, and Diana's will go on in her children, grandchildren. For now, this is the age of Charles and Camilla. And we cannot deny that Charles does love her, and I'm guessing always has loved her. Diana's tragedy is loving a man who loves someone else. But Diana will always be the mother of William, the future king.
They both have some kind of the last laugh, both are wonderful women.

I will miss the Queen’s smile more than anything, and I am having a hard time processing the fact that I will not see that smile in life anymore. I am an American who has tremendous respect for the British people, their country, and their Royal Family. I always had a lot of admiration for the Queen who always honored her vow of service to the British people and the Commonwealth. When she came to the throne 70 years ago, I am sure there were people who openly doubted her ability to do the job and probably told her so. Through her sheer determination, hard work, and respect for all people she showed them she was the right person for the job. Their will never ever be another Elizabeth during my lifetime. May God bless the wonderful British people and the Royal family during this time of mourning and grief.

Every queen consort before Queen Camilla (Alexandra, Mary and Elizabeth the Queen Mother to name the most recent ones) wore a consort’s crown and each was deemed the “actual” Queen of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth (not just England) by virtue of her marriage to the reigning King. So how is Queen Camilla disrespecting the memory of her late Majesty the Queen who by the way is the one who desired that she become Queen Consort and not Princess Consort as originally suggested by King Charles and Queen Camilla themselves. Hi, historian here. Finding it very interesting that so many of the hateful comments towards Camilla are almost exactly the same comments made towards Anne Boleyn during her lifetime almost 500 years ago. I hope it doesn't take another 500 years for Camilla to be viewed as a complex human being who is deserving of compassion and not just a Disney villain.

I was a huge Diana fan.But I have come to admire Camilla and some of her charities which include domestic violence and children's literacy etc.I forgive them and I believe Diana would want us to move on.Support her sons too.King Charles is happily in love...let them be.I am more annoyed with her involvement with Dodi.

You Diana worshippers have selective memories. Diana had several affairs during the marriage. But I don't see any of you castigating her for having them.

It was an arranged marriage and Charles knew who he wanted to be with and so to did Diana, they did try to make it work but it just wasn’t right. They both had affairs (Charles with the women who he always had loved and was wanted to be with) and then the marriage ended. It’s life. A lot of people can date for years, but when you get married to each other it is a whole different type of love you experience. Find your best friend before you find who you think you love , and that was certainly what Charles did but that’s not what happened.
