my Ace Pro just arrived, and I gotta say I'm really impressed with the camera. It's way better than the GoPro 11 I used to have; the daytime quality is pretty much the same, but the night image quality is just so much better, now I can finally go out for the whole day with just one camera in hand

The big selling point not being addressed is how much more user friendly ace pro is for average content creators that dont do shit like color grading lol. They have the easiest software to edit over the other 2. The pause record is huge too.

The Polaroid problem is common to all computer screens. Airline pilots cannot use Polaroid sun glasses to see their flat panel instruments. The classic Ray-ban Aviator preferred by pilots is now a no go. In order to prevent glare, sunglasses must be vertically polarized. Mother nature determines this. Most flat panels are horizontally polarized in the exterior filter, making sunglasses incompatible. I don't know if this was a conscious choice or ignorance, but it is inconvenient.

Refreshing to hear a different issue! You are correct about the polarized issue. My workaround was sort of expensive, but the remote watch accessary is very viewable with polarized lens, and it is much more handy if placed on the handlbar or on my wrist. I am not a 10 bit or log user but I am sure that it is important for many people. In saying this, I am very pleased with the quality of video that comes from this camera. I made a couple of adjustments in sharpness and EV and IMO the quality surpasses what comes from my GoPro. Not to mention how much easier it is to use the 360 software after capturing great images.

I am using ace pro for 3 weeks and i am very happy with it. I live in Antalya and i want to use a camera in sea, in pool and in rainy day. So action cam is very food option. But most action cams had overexposure problems in sunny days. Antalya is mostly very sunny in a year. Overexposure and backlight shadow problem is big. Ace pro solved this problem. I don't have so much time to edit 10 bit log to correct overexposure problems. Pocket 3 could be better than ace pro but it cannot be used in water and at rainy day. I use it inkee falcon plus gimbal and they are good combo.

I have all of the action cameras and so far the ace pro has been great snowboarding for me.
    No issues with my goggles.
Only thing I wish is that even with the flip screen that the front screen still showed the image. When snowboarding I don’t pop up the flip screen so it stays durable.

I kept the back screen film that came with the camera on for as long as I could, and as long as the film was on, I could see the screen with my polarized sunglasses.
Noticed some really annoying software bugs as well, like every third or fourth recording won't apply my manual white balance settings, or the video will be slightly darker, etc. I've also had a few videos stop recording after a few seconds, which is super frustrating.

In my honest opinion, i have mixed feelings about my Ace Pro vs. my Gopro Hero 10. For example, i like that if i turn Off the front and rear displays, indicator lights for both the front and rear and finally the A.I. Highlights Assistance Off i can record my videos for electric scooter riding with the GPS Preview Remote added and get 55 minutes of record time without the camera overheating vs my gopro hero 10, i get about 17 minutes in the same resolution and frame rate. However i really dislike that for some reason not everything is in focus and when it comes to the sharpness, its either too mushy on medium sharpness or too sharp and granulated on High sharpness, i wish there was a in between medium and high sharpness option. I use my Ace pro with a Chest mount for electric scooter riding content so the GPS preview remote is a BIG plus and the main reason i bought the Ace pro. The hero 10 has GPS built in and like that idea too but i cant go above 4k30fps for action scenes which makes the video quality a bit shakey if its not at 60fps. But thats my honest take as a buyer. Would i get another Ace Pro? Yes, yes i would and probably would get a second preview remote with it since you cant see your preview on the remote when you have more than 1 Ace pro camera linked with it. It destroys the purposes of the preview remote if you can't see the preview just because you linked a second ace pro. 😅

I received the camera last week and the image quality is much better than my action 4 and 3. Especially in detail. I think the massive FOV of the DJI plays agains image quality when you use normal FOVs, since the crop reduces quality and makes it be sub-4K.

That's what polarizing does. If you rotate a second pair of polarized glasses 90° in front of each other it completely blocks the light. Rotating the insta360 90° it allows the light through.
There are a couple of solutions for the problem. On is to NOT wear polarized glasses and I'll do a video on the other method. It's easier to explain in a video to get the details correct.

I hardly think these are "big" problems, I think you should do 3 innovative features that kill it's competition and then 3 "big" problems. The positives of this camera heavily outweigh these 'problems'. Polarized sunglasses, this is a personal preference, I tested mine with 6 pairs of sunglasses and I can see the screen just fine, counter that with a screen that you can actually see from 2 feet away unlike the tiny little front displays of the other cameras and why I don't even bother with my DJI's front display, again, this is personal preference, not a big problem. D Log 10 - bit, not really a factor as the Ace Pro has 13 Lut's settings you can use to come close to it's competitors results. I actually prefer Ace's colors tbh and if I want to color grade I can still do it even in 8 bit which btw is a misnomer that some are saying you can't color grade 8 bit. 10 bit gives more color, dynamic range and reduces banding, which the Ace Pro has tackled very well with the 5nm cpu, I've actually done some testing comparing especially the banding issue which really sets 8 bit to 10 bit difference in the majority of users. The dynamic range coming out of the camera is best I've seen without having to do post edit and there's hardly if any banding in this camera. If you're a professional cinematographer, yes, this would be beneficial but search around, we are seeing FX artists and cinematographers using the hardware advantage of this camera in their work, that tells you a lot. As for the 'softness' in the zoom, I'm not seeing this but will do some testing on it. Again, this camera is not for everyone BUT it captures the majority of the audience. Don't take my word for it, there's been an avg of 3-4 reviews/samples coming out everyday for this camera, real people who bought the camera and using it in a real world environment, there's really not a lot of negatives if any.
