6:00 You said about overheating, but forgot about working in cold weather, although you read out the question. Gopro has a problem with shutting down in the cold and generally with operating time in cold conditions. This is an important point, for example, in winter activities. I would also like to see an overheating test in an underwater box at a water temperature of 28 C.
Can you make a video with must-have accessories for the AcePro? Also, I hope there will be live preview available in Apple Watch (same as iPhone camera).
+1 to a magnetic mount video please. My use-case is skiing and skydiving. Am sure magnetic clippy mounts will work for skiing but there’s zero chance I will use something that is capable of coming off (no mater how unlikely) when skydiving. There are already aftermarket options for the GoPro to make them mag/clippy so I hope they keep the screw mount. Already upset they’ve dumped gps…
Great review. I was really interested in the over heating comparison. I scuba dive with the GP10 in it's waterproof housing and experience overheating. have really considered switching to the Action or Ace. Is there a way you could do an overheating comparison in their respective housings?
I use screen protectors for my go pros on my motorcycle and have had rocks hit my glass many times doing 80+, a non-replaceable screen is a no go and warranty's are great but that's downtime where I can't use my camera vs just dropping in a replacement lens
Good review. Here in the PHILIPPINES, is a bit warmer, 76-90F, on average so looking for overheating test in higher temps for the Ace Pro and Action 4. Many thanks.
I loved your response to the silly questions and comments regarding the magnetic mount. Indeed, a video dedicated to this will not be too much. Thanks in advance David
I think the main concern about the magnetic mount isn’t so much the magnetic part, but the small plastic clips that are far more likely to break vs. GoPro’s thick plastic and bolt design that would be much stronger should an impact happen. Would like to see how the durability looks between these two systems. Been loving the content. You just got a sub sir.
Man your videos are always on point! Always super informative …. Great production and you’re extremely down to earth and don’t use that annoying super imposed “UA-camr” voice and persona! Just recently started following and already learned a ton and made some awesome purchases based on your phenomenal reviews! Thank you for your great contribution to the UA-cam community, your highly appreciated 🙏🏽
While stationary, the Ace Pro audio sounded significantly better to my ear, but the quality as wind velocity increased deteriorated pretty uniformly for all of 'em. The built-in rigging capabilities of the Ace are pretty cool, too. Very thoughtful design.
I'm using it for my motor logging and the wind noise at high speed is super annoying, so I use an external lavalier mic with wind muff and hid it somewhere. It helps a lot! When I wana talk, I just clip the mic somewhere near my mouth.
For Insta360, Is there a difference in image quality if I let the camera do stabilization as opposed to using their app and stabilize the footage in my PC?
I understand about magnetic mount, because insta360 ace pro and dji action 4 they give you magnetic mount and the grabbed clip, so we don't need to worry about that right?
Thanks for your reviews! Is the magnetic quick release clip with the GoPro feet (20:11) sold by Insta 360? Or where can I purchase it? I'm looking to mount the Ace Pro on the underside of my dual sided bike computer mount (the top side has the mount for my Garmin and the bottom has the GoPro mount for a video camera).
Does either of the non GoPro‘s have something like the Horizon level feature where the image always stays upright no matter how you turn it? would be really practical for Motorcycling!
Nice one dude! One weird thing I've found with the Ace Pro is that the audio is muted for about 1-2 seconds at the beginning of every clip. It actually cut off some of my words during a recent vlog. Have you noticed that?
I got something similar to that. In the beginning of every 4k 30fps recording, when I play it back on my phone or computer, the video will stutter for 2 seconds. I use a SanDisk extreme pro sd card. Super weird and very frustrating.
Acepro(almost insta360) recording and saving videofile only 30m if you record 39m It work at sdcard 30m+9m So many people suffer from audio sync issue (sry for bad english
Are you able to livestream either directly from the camera or from a connected device and if so to what platforms? Thanks for the info in your review, very helpful!
LOL.. yes please do make a magnetic mount video. You should compare it to the Gopro quick buckle mount too which may need additional investment if I am not mistaken.
Seen a video where a person lost her camera due to accidentally hitting the camera while fishing. This issue worries me but how much force exactly to be able to detach the camera from the magnetic lock? Anyways love your videos! lots of information I need!
excellent review... it is frustrating when people are like "no, magnets are not strong enough" and all that stuff....its magnets and clippy bits! double protection, surely. David we need a video about this, for those in the back that didn't get the memo! or weren't paying attention for the whole of 2023! i do enjoy your videos buddy. just brilliant as always.
Yesterday I saw Ace Pro third party replacement lenses with filters and they had lens wrench in kit. I screenshotted them. So I’m questioning their report that lens isn’t replaceable. I own the Ace Pro and love mine.
Search this on UA-cam and you'll find some vids of the lense being removed. If it was truly not removable, then you'd have to throw the camera away when the lense was damaged. I think I'm going to get one of these. It seems years ahead of the issues GoPro's have (freezing up, crashing, etc.).
Hi David. This is my deal breaker. Does it stay in the pre recording mode when you stop recording or do you have to set it up to continue pre record for a second time?
Hi, are there any good accessories for the Ace Pro? Like, head band accessories or helmet or...something for the head...really. I would like to use it for fishing videos....cheers!
Can you make a video comparing the three cameras with external shotgun mics? I’m interested to hear the sound difference as well as how the mic looks on camera. Does the mic and dead cat show up in frame at all?
One thing I really wish these cameras would add at some point even if just a bit is IR night vision. Or even just make a dang IR attachment. There are 80-160 dollar 2-4k body cams out here about the same size as any of these cameras with at least minimum relatively good IR and not bad stability mounts. If GoPro, DJI, or Insta360 jumped on adding even a slightly adequate IR function they would be the king of action cameras without question. It’s odd to me that they haven’t even really tried to given there are countless channels that record in low or near no light conditions in their videos. The closest is the ActionPro here which decimates GoPro in the dark and seems to just slightly best DJI in it. With a flashlight maybe the Ace Pro has little to no need for IR at all but if it had the feature it would undeniably be the King even at like 500-550 bucks so long as it can kinda closely maintain the battery life. (Switching to IR would likely need minimal features aside from stability which would help it not need to add too much drain). I cannot stress enough how willing I would be to buy the Ace even if it cost 500-550 if it had that feature on top of what it’s at currently. Say for example, they added the sensors around the front screen. (Move the front screen down a tad, sensors around it and logo under the lens) and make the camera maybe just a bit bigger to fit the sensors as necessary (in the possible event they couldn’t fit it in a future Ace of this same size). These cameras have a lot more features absolutely as it is but I don’t entirely see how they couldn’t at all add IR vision to them. All of these cameras are at a point where the main things they actually NEED to improve is battery life and low/near no light visibility. The stability is insane, they all have really good image quality, colors are really darn good, plenty of options and extra features (zoom, superview (or whatever each ones name for it is), ratios, wind filters, etc). Adding a way to deal with the nighttime light and really working on the battery seems to me the logical next step. Not like the technology isn’t there and pretty good as is. Like I mentioned body cams have it, and they’re running 10-15 HOUR battery life with similar size batteries, with up to 4k 120, and are stable enough to still easily see the footage. Meanwhile current best action cameras can only run just over an hour and their images practically die when it comes to night? Why? Even just a mod addition for dealing with the night like the Ace has a mic addition would be enough. Something, anything to actually try to deal with it. Heck people have turned old action cams into relatively good IR. These companies can’t even try so far? I don’t say any of that to diminish the accomplishments of these cameras, they’re great for what they are 100 percent. I just don’t understand why one of the well known things that make footage rough they seemingly haven’t done much to address. I did mention earlier the Ace Pro seems the furthest on night quality, with a flashlight I think it could actually do okay in low light conditions (ex. Airsoft or urbex where an area has little light). That said an IR function, even if it’s not great, would make it an absolute action camera beast. A function like that even if poor would set it apart as a better option because it has the capability. Of course, I doubt it would be that poor if they added it, but erring on the side of caution there a bit.
Great video David! I have the action 4 and it seems like it under exposes a lot of the time especially when vlogging. It likes to expose for the entire scene and not just my face which is frustrating. I am probably going to try the ACe Pro to see if it works better for vlogging. What do you think?
I’ve just started to play with GoPro Labs on my Mini 11. Has 10 Bit colour and 200Mbps. Don’t see many reviewers mention the option of GoPro labs and the large assortment of option it “unlocks” Probably a bit too in-depth for the turn on and use crowd I guess.
I've been using Labs for a couple years and those firmwares always make the cameras less stable. Some of the features just don't work. GPS time has never worked properly, which is weird because everyone except GoPro knows how to get time from GPS
One thing I can't seem to find though, how does the Stats Dashboard work? Like, I have it sync'd to my Garmin but I see footage of people driving recording it has the stats dashboard on the screen, is that during live shooting or post edit?
I’m confused by this. Can’t remove the lens means no ND. Does it do auto shutter and how does that affect the video smoothness in the final product. Also, when I shoot HDR video on a phone and put it in a Premier Pro Rec709 sequence alongside my SonyA7siii footage, the phone footage needs the colour space overridden back to Rec709. Does the Ace pro have that issue?
Hi David, I bought a BOYA BY-V20 Wireless Microphone but unfortunately, it is not compatible with the Insta360 Ace Pro. Could you recommend a few wireless mic options for this action cam? Thank you. An issue I'm having: I used a lavelier mic & connected to the Ace Pro tru the Mic adaptor. The recorded audio is left channel only. Did I do something wrong?
David, per usual, excellent review/comp on these cameras... I have both the I360AP and the DJIA4, I bought the latter 2 weeks before the I360AP came out, then like went oh crap, now I have to buy it. I am a bit underwhelmed by the image quality of the I360AP, compared to the DJIA4, they are close and in some sense, on image quality alone, not worth the cost of upgrade. But the I360AP many other features make up for this. The fixed lens issue on the I360AP is troublesome, however Insta360 seems to have our back with their pledge to repair. Plus I will be putting ND filters on this camera also... more protection. The best and most important I360AP advantage for me is the low light capability, it was my Ah-Ha moment to pull the trigger. I am leaving for Australia early next year, and am debating whether to bring my Sony APS-C camera at all, since the I360AP performs so well... more testing first. I am your newest sub, thanks, David! A production note, if you don't mind: The music track under this video, which is basically a drum beat, for some (like me) is distracting and IMHO unnecessary.
Hello. I record videos from inside the city and different ceremonies and publish them on the UA-cam channel. I want to buy a new camera. I can't choose between camera i369AP and pocket3. I'm looking for a camera that can record up to an hour and a half of 4K video continuously(non stop). Which one can record a long video? Image quality at night is important to me. Among these two cameras, I have chosen camera I360Ap according to the characteristics of each. Do you think this camera could be suitable for me? Is the image quality good? If you have used this camera please guide me. What is your opinion? Thank
The manual says to not submerge the Ace Pro, so that's not an action cam, it's a vlogging cam. 8:47 Another deal breaker is the non replicable lens cover
I ran mine for the 1st tonight running a usb power feed as a dash cam and constant record with 3hrs running time til the memory card ran out of space @ 4k30 and no overheating but she was pretty warm
Amazing product review. I think the pause feature is great because I hate to get an edit done on my videos because they are just hard to do. I think it will also make great footage from 8K
how to preview video insta360 ace pro ( not using the app)?. i I took videos on the camera then I want to go back on the camera itself to see what I took. is there a way ?
13:12 : this is the only video that pinpoints the problem, Ace pro doesn't have 8k resolution, it just use algorithm to make it looks like 8k BUT IN FACT IT IS STILL 4K
Great video but I think the reason you would choose ace is for the low light video, but from what I can see the pocket 3 is the best (I know the pocket 3 isn’t an action camera.)
Thanks for the video mate, that's a lot of questions answered :) The low-light performance, and free-form + recording pause/resume features really makes me consider the purchase to relaunch my baking channel as I should save a lot of time in post-processing. Cheers!
Yes, you wil love it! Been using it for 3 weeks, absolutely amazing! I, too am too lazy to do any color edit/grading, straight out of the camera & into my video editor. The AI Highlight feature is also awesome!! Save me a lot of time in editing.
@@paulchin4094 I am actually rethinking now, maybe the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 would be better for my purpose. It doesn't have the recording pause/resume feature of the 360, but it does have the wireless audio connection with a dji mic 2, which is a great asset. It also comes with 10bit D-LOG which the ace360 doesn't have (not sure if I really need this though). So hard to choose between the two...
I guess at the end of the day I need to decide if I want to buy an action cam or a vlogging cam. Probably the vlogging cam (so the pocket 3) is a better fit. But I also hike a lot, where the insta360 is a better fit.
@@quentinskitchen If you are not sure if you need the 10bit D-LOG, you probably don't unless you plan to do lots of color grading & editing. Most folks are happy without it. So it depends on your needs. AP also can be connected with a wireless mic tru the mic adaptor.
I was sold on the Insta, until 8-bit. The amount of times I have recorded footage using Insta360 x3, Action 3 and so on where it was on auto and it did not deal with the low and highlights that well where I've needed to adjust it and 8-bit v's 10-bit is woeful. DJI have nailed it with the Pocket 3 and HLG, try it in a HDR workflow and export, it's awesome. I suffer from GAS but it's not quite happening for me. As the Spice Girls sang, 'What I really want, what I really, really want", is Insta360 proper 4K export resolution in 10-Bit HLG, just sayin. :-)
About time, oh no flip screen, it's going to break when I do sports, oh wait, it closes lol Nice, about time someone actually made a review to address these workable 'issues'. I'm glad you can use your GoPro, 22 minutes at a time lol. I love how these fanboys very quickly dismiss this extremely serious chronic overheating problem over lens guard or flip screen, diverting from the obvious. Great review, thank you. I got mine yesterday and I'm sorry, this thing is insane. It's actually more rugged then ppl think it is, unless you have one in your hand and look at how well built that flip screen hinge is, you would probably reconsider. I'm loving mine so far thank you, can't wait to get this thing underwater.
Are you sure the sensors on Dji and Ace Pro are the same? I mean one is a 48 megapixel output, the other is 12 megapixels for the dji. They can’t be the same. Can you please explain this?
@@roninr8199well he says “they are literally the same sensor” in both cameras. I would argue that’s not correct. They may be the same size but not the same sensor
He also mentions that Insta360 isn’t pushing it as 8k while I would argue that it’s pretty much in every ad for the Ace Pro. That’s exactly what they are advertising it as.
@@sammadonline if insta is using actual ai then for sure soc is different. Since size is same we can expect almost same quality. Even Qualcomm 8 gen 3 has ai capabilities which 8 gen 2 cannot achieve
OV48C is the image sensor in ace pro, this sensor is also used in action 4, some dji drones and xiaomi 10 ultra. It is easy to find the source in internet.
Great review. I’m an Insta360 fan, I have the OneX2 and One RS twin addition. Been considering the Ace pro as an addition. This may have sold me on it finally after watching hours of videos on it lol
My Ace Pro over heats after about 15 to 20 minutes. But it is in about 80 degree temp with the flip screen down. But I don't think it makes any difference if the screen is up or down. I'm sorry I bought it.
How about a comparison between insta 360 one rs 1 inch leica edition and the ace pro, they are both 1 inch so good to see if actually is there a difference in the image clarity
Love you review - you make great content and easy to follow. I’m coming over from GoPro. Can you go over the editing app more. Specifically with the GoPro you have the ability to easily crop and zoom in on videos when you do social media The free frame is a great way to film for both social media and UA-cam but all the other modes only do 60-9, and make it difficult to edit for stories and find myself going back to GoPro Quik editing software. Suggestions. I don’t see anybody creating UA-cam videos on how to create stories using the Ace pro. Thank buddy
Hi Davide, very interesting video comparison 💪 I add two questions on which I would like to have clarification as I am very interested in the ACE PRO. 1. ACE PRO focal: I always see a slight blur on the face (first part audio test), is this correct? What minimum distance does it require? 2. Lights with distortion on ACE PR: I noticed in some videos that pointing at the sun or lights creates a reflection line. Can you confirm that this happens in the ACE PRO? Thanks in advance for your answers. Manuel
Your review missed the most important point. Is the magnetic mount enough to keep the camera falling off my airplane? It does not look that secure. Now I have to go find another video to see if it covers this most important aspect of using an action camera - the mounting and mount hardware.
I ended up buying the camera to replace my (2) Insta360 One R's with 1-inch modules. The low light is surely a lot better than the 1-inch mod. However, I don't really see that much improvement in video quality, at least in action mode. One thing that I think is really weird is that in time lapse mode, you can only shoot 4K. This really doesn't make sense to me. It's a fixed image, and it should be at least 5.7K if not 8K. I also don't like that you can't do the zoom in time lapse mode. The only other gripe with me now is the battery life. I think fixed place tests that you did don't resemble what an actual camera is doing in action mode. Obviously, the processor is working much harder when you are mountain bike riding at 20 MPH vs, the camera sitting in place. In my first series of test I barley got 50 minutes, and thats with 4k/60, low screen brightness, and screen off after 10 secs.... But to be fare the user interface/touch screen, audio, magnetic mount, low light recording, and dynamic range are clearly much better than the One R 1-Inch Mod or 4K mod. I I also did some test with fixed placed shots comparing it to my Iphone 13 Pro Max as I was hoping I could use the Ace Pro for these type of shots instead of the iPhone. The Ace Pro does well, but in my opinion, the iPhone still produces noticeable, better quality difference.
@@DavidManningvlog great review and in my view an unbiased comparison. At 5:49 you just repeat the companies brochure statements. I saw a timed test somewhere ekse and after the 22mins the AcePro was at 80%, while the Action4 was only at 56%. So in fact the AcePro charges faster than the Action4. Marketing, ey 😂
Question for you , I know the DJI Pocket 3 is not an action camera , but I just want to use it mainly to record my table tennis matches ...Do you think the quality of low light and video quality is better than the Gopro 12 or the Insta 360 action camera Ace pro??? I am just curious , I might do an upgrade from my Gopro 11 .I cannot wait to hear from your feedback.
What's the battery life like from fast charging. I've always found it's convenient, but often the battery life is significantly reduced for that charge, compared to regular charging. Also genuinely confused why so many people reviewing these cameras ignore the fact GoPro already have a quick release clip, that's probably been around longer than their competitors. Sure it doesn't work on some accessories that specifically use the screw, but if you're using the adhesive mounts, chesty, bar mount, etc. They've all got the clip system. If you were running the proper adhesive mount on your triple camera comparison setup the GoPro would also take a second to remove. I'm sure there's people who appreciate the magnetic clip more, but it's not just better, it's actually the most annoying thing about my Action 2, and that camera won't even transfer files from the camera to an SD card, and they refused to fix it under warranty...
Magnets are magnets and never break your hearts with proper use. No manufacturers can stay behind the evolution. Customers want practical changes. Hope, GoPro designers like magnet evolution. 🙏👏👏👏🙏
hi. you did a stabilization test with those 3 cams in daylight. but i think the real difference comes in when you do the same test in low light. in other reviews i watched, the dji osmo action and go pro become very unstable in said scenario. maybe you can do a test as well? thanks 😊
My DJI Osmo pocket 2 runs 4 hours recording 4K/30 at 30+ degrees temperature here in the Philippines! Yes you read correct, it's over 4 hours NONSTOP without overheating! Connected to a PD Powerbank it runs at 30+ degrees Celsius - but newer cameras are overheating ...LOL
Has anyone try to use the dji mic 1 on the Ace pro? How did it go? 😅 I don’t know which one to get (ace pro or action 4) for shooting soccer, basketball and baseball.
Yes, magnetic mount was a bad marketing decision, should have been quick release mount. I played with one and it didnt have as tight a tolerance as I'd hoped, it shook and rattled a bit. Stabilization will address that, but the clicking/rattling noise bothered me. Maybe i just got access to a bad mount. They also sell "magentic mount" for gopro aftermarket too.
Such a great video!! I released 2 videos so far sharing some answers that i got directly from the head of marketing of insta360 in europe. A new part of Q and A will be soon available as well
Somebody can please tell me, about the actual overheating time for all the cameras in the videos, the record limit for this guy doesn't match upto the other videos on UA-cam, he says 60min and other says just 10min of record time for osmo 4, which is really disgusting, just a big confusion in that, could anyone help with the right info.?
Thanks, David, been curious about those since I've wanted to get one...now that you said it, I realize a lot of concerns about this camera isn't really something that would happen to me. Guess I will go ahead purchase it and see how it goes, given that the image quality looks promising
Oops question 2 if the Dji 4 battery lasts 110 minutes how come it only lasted 64 minutes in the heat test but only turned off when the battery died 🤷♂️
The Ace pro really shouldn't be compared to the Action 4 and Gopro 12, in fairness it really does kinda stand alone at this point. The red headed step child that even Insta won't talk about, the Insta 360 Ace, non-pro edition is more in line spec wise, price wise and sensor wise so it really should be the one being compared here.
Action cameras only use a portion of the sensor to do the digital stabilization. If the camera shakes they are using different parts of the sensor. That's why there are worse stabilization options with lower resultions. So how should it also do pixel binning at the same time? Are you 100% sure about this? This doesn't make sense to me. Insta360 has also already said that the hardware is not capable of 10bit. So there will not be a 10 bit update.

Awesome video as usual. Can't wait till my ace pro comes in. It was the ease of operation that swayed me getting the ace instead of the Osmo 4
The Ace Pro's lense IS removable. Plenty of videos about how to do it without losing waterproof integrity.

Do I lose features if I record in 1080p? Like HDR, etc?
Don’t see many reviewers mention the option of GoPro labs and the large assortment of option it “unlocks”
Probably a bit too in-depth for the turn on and use crowd I guess.
I agree. I’ve been doing some trial and error testing with my 12 and I’ve been happy with the results so far.
I've been using Labs for a couple years and those firmwares always make the cameras less stable. Some of the features just don't work. GPS time has never worked properly, which is weird because everyone except GoPro knows how to get time from GPS
Is the ace pro still water proof with the audio adapter?
Great comparison Review! Thanks David!
Don't forget you can also use a screen protector. Yes, to some folks the low light is a deal breaker! AP-packed features outweigh the disadvantages.
Thank
Lots of great questions answered in this video!!! Good job as always bud!! Keep killing it! #loveyourcreators
Hi, can the insta360 ace pro do direct live-streaming ? like onto Facebook / utube/ and etc. ?
Is there an extended battery for the AcePro?
what about autofocus problem of ACE and software upgrade to solve it?
17:46 On my monitor there's banding on all 3 of them. But not massive, but I can see it.
I have to say the voice activation is great on the GoPro
The manual says to not submerge the Ace Pro, so that's not an action cam, it's a vlogging cam.
8:47 Another deal breaker is the non replicable lens cover
Thank you david. A very well detailed explanation. 😊❤
I ran mine for the 1st tonight running a usb power feed as a dash cam and constant record with 3hrs running time til the memory card ran out of space @ 4k30 and no overheating but she was pretty warm
Aside from the audio quality on the Ace Pro, which can be ‘fixed’ with an external mic, it’s the winner for me.
How easy has editing/color grading the ace pro footage vs. GoPro+DJI footage been? Wasn’t sure how far in camera AI went in the ace pro.
Amazing product review. I think the pause feature is great because I hate to get an edit done on my videos because they are just hard to do. I think it will also make great footage from 8K
What happened to the hot and cold test? You even mentioned it?
Check that 6:00 mark for the overheating figures. Haven't done the full freeze test yet!
how to preview video insta360 ace pro ( not using the app)?. i I took videos on the camera then I want to go back on the camera itself to see what I took. is there a way ?
13:12 : this is the only video that pinpoints the problem, Ace pro doesn't have 8k resolution, it just use algorithm to make it looks like 8k BUT IN FACT IT IS STILL 4K
Great video but I think the reason you would choose ace is for the low light video, but from what I can see the pocket 3 is the best (I know the pocket 3 isn’t an action camera.)
I have one question Dave , is 5.3k vid better than 4k ?
Great video as always David, we're currently spoilt for choice. Can't really go wrong with any of these cams. Love your work as always!
Thanks for the video mate, that's a lot of questions answered :)
The low-light performance, and free-form + recording pause/resume features really makes me consider the purchase to relaunch my baking channel as I should save a lot of time in post-processing.
@@quentinskitchen Ace Pro - Best of both worlds! 😉👌
@@quentinskitchen If you are not sure if you need the 10bit D-LOG, you probably don't unless you plan to do lots of color grading & editing. Most folks are happy without it. So it depends on your needs. AP also can be connected with a wireless mic tru the mic adaptor.
Why no mention about the required "activation"?
I am waiting for the 11 bit version......will give me more control behind my screen......
@@Emmanuel_Tuts-Schiemsky ?
Thank you for clarifying all my confusions ❤.
Same means on size not same manufactire/model.
Is there Going to be a Video about the normal ace without pro?
Great review. I’m an Insta360 fan, I have the OneX2 and One RS twin addition. Been considering the Ace pro as an addition. This may have sold me on it finally after watching hours of videos on it lol
Brooo, how can I use the dji mic on it?
My Ace Pro over heats after about 15 to 20 minutes. But it is in about 80 degree temp with the flip screen down. But I don't think it makes any difference if the screen is up or down. I'm sorry I bought it.
How about a comparison between insta 360 one rs 1 inch leica edition and the ace pro, they are both 1 inch so good to see if actually is there a difference in the image clarity
Love you review - you make great content and easy to follow.
I’m coming over from GoPro. Can you go over the editing app more. Specifically with the GoPro you have the ability to easily crop and zoom in on videos when you do social media
The free frame is a great way to film for both social media and UA-cam but all the other modes only do 60-9, and make it difficult to edit for stories and find myself going back to GoPro Quik editing software. Suggestions. I don’t see anybody creating UA-cam videos on how to create stories using the Ace pro. Thank buddy
For me the dj4 is the current winner for me at least for lost of reasons.
Hi Davide, very interesting video comparison 💪
I add two questions on which I would like to have clarification as I am very interested in the ACE PRO.
Oh and on other thing,.. the Ace Pro does produce a much wider shot than the One R 1-inch mod wide-angle lens mod.
I have OA3 and Ace Pro, there is no challenge for low light videos, ace pro is a win.. but for battery durability OA has better battery life..
Agree 100%
@@DavidManningvlog great review and in my view an unbiased comparison. At 5:49 you just repeat the companies brochure statements. I saw a timed test somewhere ekse and after the 22mins the AcePro was at 80%, while the Action4 was only at 56%. So in fact the AcePro charges faster than the Action4. Marketing, ey 😂
Great video! Just what I needed to know.
Question for you , I know the DJI Pocket 3 is not an action camera , but I just want to use it mainly to record my table tennis matches ...Do you think the quality of low light and video quality is better than the Gopro 12 or the Insta 360 action camera Ace pro??? I am just curious , I might do an upgrade from my Gopro 11 .I cannot wait to hear from your feedback.
the pocket 3 is better!! GoPro12 video quality in low light is so bad, if you really need an action cam, just think about Action 4 or Ace Pro
Ahahaha the end is very funny. Great video as usual :)
Doesn’t last very long at in the cold 🥶
Does anyone know if you can connect the ace pro to the dji mic 2?
I just use the snap mount for my gopro hero 6 and hero 12 just ordered the one for media mod more secure especially with the locking adapter.
Do the insta 360 ace pro need a gimbal . I want to see u try it
Thanks, David, been curious about those since I've wanted to get one...now that you said it, I realize a lot of concerns about this camera isn't really something that would happen to me. Guess I will go ahead purchase it and see how it goes, given that the image quality looks promising
Good work ❤, thank you , can you make a sunset time lapse comparison?
Oops question 2 if the Dji 4 battery lasts 110 minutes how come it only lasted 64 minutes in the heat test but only turned off when the battery died 🤷♂️
The Ace pro really shouldn't be compared to the Action 4 and Gopro 12, in fairness it really does kinda stand alone at this point. The red headed step child that even Insta won't talk about, the Insta 360 Ace, non-pro edition is more in line spec wise, price wise and sensor wise so it really should be the one being compared here.
I can't tell if yout comment is a compliment to the Ace Pro or a bad thing? Can you please explain please, thanks.
It's all of their top of the line cameras. That's a fair comparison. It should be motivation for the other brands to step up their cameras.
You forgot to mention the ace pro battery door is a big design flaw. It just easily be bumped open. It happened to me.
