It was decent but the controls and difficulty pushed it over the edge for me

Incredible Crash Dummies is actually a pretty good game. The control scheme can cause some frustration initially, until you get the feel for it down pat. Not a great game, but better than you gave it credit for. Entertaining video though, as always 👍
It was extremely difficult to play through. So many deaths and restarts. Some parts were just unfair. The bounciness I never really got over. I learned to adapt to it but it frustrated me to the end

your voice when talking about horses sounds like the channel: Internet historian. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and remember those crash test dummy commercials. I didn't know they made games about them. whoever the marketing firm behind those dummy commercials were geniuses.

Does the music sound oddly familiar to anyone else who has *never* played this game? As a kid I owned Wolverine for the NES; unless it was intentionally added in just for the video, I now wonder if LJN was just reusing music.
There is a version of crash dummies released for the gameboy and master system that's quite good. I had the gameboy version of it. It's a series of arcade mini games that you play back to back, I'd recommend checking it out as I've always had fun playing it.

The NES version is a 100% unique game from any other platform, it did not "come out" on SNES, Genesis & Game Boy. The Game Boy version is the same as the Master System game, which is also a 100% different game from the SNES or Genesis games.
Had that red car toy back in the day. Lost half the pieces crashing it the 1st time

There aren’t many UA-cam channels that make me excited to see a new video but I literally drop whatever I’m doing to watch any new video you put out. The intro with Vince was great! Crash Test Dummies holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I always knew the controls sucked but I eventually got somewhat used to them. I played it a lot but rarely made it past the 4th level. I always enjoyed the music and sound effects. Thanks for the review!

@@NESComplex lol well i think it's just a line that's been around "forever," but i was a HUUUGE wrestling fan ever since i could like, formulate memories and watching Bruno Sammartino at the end of his career with my Dad and Grandma, all the way up until a few years after Stone Cold Steve Austin retired...then i stopped watching for a few years (which was sad because it had gotten so bad that something I had watched ever since i could remember, all the way for another 33 years or so, became unbearable), but now im back into it...anyway, i always remember it from the 80s and early 90s, from Gorilla Monsoon saying it over commentary..."and would you look at this!!! The Hulkster (whom i ALWAYS friggin hated, btw), coming back after the beating he just took from Kamala!!!" lol...

Crash dummies could definitely be in a good and over the top fun game. Buuuut, not here or the 16 bit version. Still the best toys tho.

Not sure if you ever played the Game Boy version. It's the one I had back in the day and it was surprisingly fun. I also had that red toy car that would crash and deploy airbags and such. I loved that toy. Dude the NES game does look terrible and a lot different lol. I still want to add it to my collection. Another masterful video as always.

Thanks man! If you’re a collector you need to nab it, but man was it excruciating. It wouldn’t surprise me if other versions were much better! The toys do look really cool. I was originally gonna use toys to tell the story but my auction fell through so I animated instead

I remember I rented the snes Crash Dummies game. When I went to return it, they said they had no record of ever having that game in their inventory. I remember leaving and being like... sweet, free game! And then never actually playing it because it was also horrible.

@@NESComplex yeah, it's pretty damn cool, especially the way "NES COMPLEX" is written...got an idea for a video for you btw, if you care lol... something along the lines of "Reasons why i dislike these top 10/classic/loved games"... oh, the REASON why i came up with this, you ask? WELL...i remember on your top 20 SNES games, which was the 1st videos I watched from you, and actually reignited my love to get back into retro/SNES games, you really show a lot of passion that i try to convey to my friends and family about a ton of games they missed (my cousin was a SEGA guy, so he never even played Link to the Past or Super Metroid, insane, i know)...but one of my, if NOT my all time, favoirte game is Final Fantasy 2 on SNES (and i love 3 as well)...but if i recall correctly, those games aren't even up on your list, maybe FF3/6 made it at the end...so if you're into retro games, usually those 2 games, especially FF3, is usually right up at the top...so, being such an expert in this genre as you are, i wonder if there's any other games that are absolutely beloved by most gamers, that you aren't into, and then the reason why....it could go nowhere of course, and just be as simple as you're not into role playing games lol...but we all have games we love that people hate (like me with JAWS on the NES), or games that we don't really care for, that everyone loves (like me with Donkey Kong Country, all of them)...so with that in mind, curious to know what yours are, and then the reasoning behind it... could be another 2 part vid, with the subjects i said--games you love that most people loathe, and games you "hate" that move people absolutley love....
anyway, sorry for the gigantic, essay-like reply lol...this would've went a lot faster had we just been talking in person hahaha.... pe@ce kid, look forward to the next video, as always
