Hello! I just discovered your channel. My family is considering full-timing in the future and we are doing a lot of research into what it will entail. From this channel I discovered your other channel guns & guitars. I’m a bassist and also into firearms. I was wondering how you navigated carrying your firearms with you on the road, especially going into California. I don’t want to leave all my guns behind so I imagine you would have to put them in storage somewhere before entering certain states?
Hey Nick! Dan here, yes crossing state borders can be tricky with firearms. It’s important to know state and local regulations of any place you plan to stay. As a result, my “freedom loving” firearms usually end up in a safe I store at a friends house, and I travel with a few “50 state legal” firearms. Occasionally if I know I’m not going to be in more restrictive areas, I’ll pick up some of my favorites to carry with us for a while, then drop them off again before heading into places like California. As a firearm UA-camr, I’m also constantly acquiring firearms on the road for various videos, as a result, I’ve left a few of them in the safe keeping of friends or family in various states before heading into restricted areas. I take this VERY SERIOUSLY. It would be easy to “get away with it.” But it’s important for me to be above reproach for my integrity. I don’t want some politician to “make an example” out of me because of my channel. Hope this helps!
@@RockinandRollin thanks so much for the thorough response! That helps tremendously. I definitely don’t want the stress of having something illegal on board. Your Chaparral layout is our favorite we’ve found so far. Having an area where I can sit down with my bass and track is very important to me so it’s cool to see someone else has addressed that.
Honestly Nick, I found myself tracking outside with my laptop and headphones more often than in the “utility room.” I found that once we got out in nature, it was more inspirational to work outside than inside. One of the reasons we ended up selling that rig and getting a motorhome was so we could spend more time out in nature, and I even got rid of those studio monitors! Lol. But it took a year to realize that. I loved our year with “Chappy” it taught us so much about this life.
@@RockinandRollin we were wondering why you made the switch! I was thinking headphones would probably be the route I’d go as well to save on space. I usually jam on my headphones anyway to avoid waking up the 1 year old lol. Playing outside in nature like that sounds like a dream! Thanks for your time 🙏 and best wishes to your family.
Seriously, do you know how many people have been waiting for an update video?!? You go and sell your fifth wheel and its crickets for a month! :) It was great to see a new video!
Haha sorry josh, lots going on to adapt to a new rig! I know I say this every time, but I’m hoping to put out more content and faster for this channel!
Haha well I’ll count the subscribers as God’s blessing. We do have one video that took off on views, and a lot of subs came from that. As for my other channel, just search Guns and Guitars on youtube.
We are releasing our story chronologically and are a bit behind! But we will try to get caught up as soon as possible. So yes, that video is still coming!

Question: you only have 10 videos but over 4,000 subscribers. How in the world? :) PS How do we find the guitar channel?
Haha well I’ll count the subscribers as God’s blessing. We do have one video that took off on views, and a lot of subs came from that. As for my other channel, just search Guns and Guitars on youtube.
