I can't wait to build my net zero passive house on a nice parcel of land somewhere. Unfortunately, it'll have to wait until I'm retired and have time for such an undertaking. Great stuff!

how does the cost to build compare to paying for power if it were conventional?

    • @ecoevo

MiroBG That would require a huge research grant. Besides how do you put a figure on building longevity, indoor air quality(pivotal for heyfever and asthma sufferers), and peace and quiet?

Very nice. Can you provide a link to the window manufacturer? I have never seen this type used.

We are unaware where the windows are from. But they are imported from Germania.

Johnny Ericsson I’m sure it will be mix of local products, and products from overseas, assembled locally.

S Jones You’ll have to direct that question to carbonlite. www.carbonlite.com.au

😂😂😂you are not allowed to enjoy indoor outdoor living with single glazing. I agree!!!!!!!

We suggested if you cannot afford good quality glazing avoid large windows. It almost like suggesting people to quit smoking.

are the grey plastic things on the lower edge of the kitchen windows essential? Because way to make something engineered to be beautiful so UGLY!

    • @ecoevo

Unfortunately, that grey plastic part is the mechanism which allows sliding windows to be airtight. The conventional concealed tracks will always have air gaps. Having said that, I believe there are alternatives that are either timber clad or printed with timber patterns.

Чья идея была поставить такую входную группу? И дверь открывается во внутрь дома!!! Не удобно и опасно. Дети бегут по лестнице вниз и открывается дверь...
Whose idea was it to put such an entrance group? And the door opens into the house!!! Uncomfortable and dangerous. Children run down the stairs and the door opens...
