  • Gamelyn Games’ Ultra Tiny Epic Kingdoms is a 4x board game that comes in the size of a deck of cards!
An amazing achievement from a design perspective and a pretty good game too. It’s a high fantasy battle to control the kingdom and exterminate your foes.
In this rules tutorial we look at the solo play mode in a classic matchup between Elves and Goblins.

If I'm not mistaken, when you expand, you have to put your meeple on the same zone/site/area with a previous one, and not put him on a different zone. So the meeple from the grain field should have been placed on the forest or mountain, together with another one of your army.

Thanks! I think you're correct! And despite that I STILL lost! Thanks for watching!

    [18:10] when spending resources for war cost, 1 mana = 2 points, 1 ore = 1 point, 1 food = 0 point.
So in this case, 2 mana would have been 4 points, enough to win.

I got this game simply because it's the smallest, most minimal 4x game I've ever seen lol. Quite an achievement indeed. I'm always a fan of doing unallowable amounts of stuff with barely any content. Push that content. PUUUUSSSHH it! ( I'm also addicted to the infinite possiblities of procedural generation. PUUUUSH )

Very nice game. Simple rules but not easy to manage.

I was playing this game wrong. I was doing 2 rolls for the dummy player and not 1. Thanks for the video! 👍

You need 2 rolls whenever the dummy player is going to move. The first one to choose the army and the second one to choose the direction. You can find it under "Selecting an Army" and "Moving an Army".

Gameplay starts at 8:25 if someone else just wants to watch the play and not the setup/explanation.

To move a dummy player you need to reroll and check the direction. You can find it under "Selecting an Army" and "Moving an Army" in solo rules.

Where is this rule found? Those sections you mentioned do not exist in my solo rules from the Heroes Call expansion. And the posts I've read online from people quoting the Ultra TEJ rulebook appear to be identical to the ones I have.

@@keving82383 page 26/27 of the game manual. I’m not talking about any other manual. You can find it here: www.gamelyngames.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/UTEK_rulebook_v2.pdf

The only issue I saw was that you took 2 Expand actions on Turn 1. Otherwise, great video!

12:10 I think you forgot to pay a mana for the first level magic track for the human then again for the dummy player

Thank you! Multitasking is a bit of a challenge for me!

So the game needs a d12 and it doesnt provide it???

    • @TabletopUpgrades
      @TabletopUpgrades  3 роки тому +1

Ha, yes basically! I think the solo mode is effectively an expansion but the multiplayer doesn’t require d12.

I would just use a dice rolling app on my phone for that d12
