Since he has autism, even if in the spectrum, he easily reacts to any stimuli that might affect his thinking. Netflix's Atypical also touched base with the same issue.

I like Dr Lim but if her character leaves, I'll regret it but I won't be sad. Dr Melendez has way more chemistry with Claire (but he's still her mentor/boss so the slow burn is ok for now).
It would only make it worse because that would put him in his own head. He needs to adjust to his surroundings just as it needs to adjust to him. It's a very difficult balance. But honestly I think that what he really needs is Lea.
