Awesome video the job search is rough but we'll all make it eventually. It's all pretty much an inevitable numbers game. This is slightly unrelated to the vid but where did you get that bright lamp that's next to your Shinobu wallpaper? The lamp looks steins;gate-esque and lowkey I kinda wanna buy it if there's some available online.
ty! I bought it on etsy www.etsy.com/listing/718490456/unique-table-lamp-edison-steampunk-desk?ref=yr_purchases&variation0=1186525177&variation1=1186525171 socket color = silver dimming it does look like it could be from steins gate lol
FCC & ODIN 👏YES ✅ I somehow got hired with no CS degree and no bootcamp I still feel like I'm not good enough and wonder why they hired me lol I'm 3 months into my first tech job
best free resources haha congrats! yeah the first few months does feel like impostor syndrome is settling in, but you'll get better over time as you keep working 日本の仕事はどうですか? いつか日本に住みたいと思います。でも敬語は少し難しいですよね。
I think you should identify the reason you're addicted to video games. is it because you're running away from your problems or because you enjoy the gratification of ranking up? The longer that you ignore the things that you need to do, the larger they become... until it gets to a point where you're unable to ignore them. For me, this is what happened with the job search. I played video games throughout college to run away from my problems. When I started job searching, I knew that if I played video games, I wouldn't have full focus and less time to code. one tip I have is to make it difficult to start playing video games - this could be deleting the games or putting them out of reach
Was leetcode asked for nonFaang companies. Currently I’m doing 5 hours a day of React projects, and 3 hours leetcode. I’m wondering, maybe I should cut down on leetcode?
in my first job search, it wasn’t asked often, since I only got interviews with small companies I wouldn’t spend too much time on leetcode to get the first job, since you’ll probably be targeting small / non tech companies
I was fortunate to be able to live at home during the job search if you’re unable to get a job with your cs degree, you may have to take any job you can to afford your living expenses in the US, the best part time jobs are probably ones that include tips
Trying to stay positive. its been a year since my last interview despite countless applications. thank you 🙏
Keep going, you will make it!
@johnsoto7112 that’s a long time since an interview

@@jooweee
なるほど、会社が楽しいのは良かったですね。
それはとても面白いです。確かに給料とか家賃は低そうです。
教えてくれてありがとう!
Any tips for quitting video games? I feel like that’s my biggest distraction in life right now.

What is the most important factor to find a medium level job ?
interview skills are probably the most important factor
with experience, it should be much easier to get past the resume screening

I’m curious, what job did/do you work right out of college when you can’t get a job with your CS degree.
