- This video shows the complete Round 3 test, but it has some memory leak bugs that still need to be fixed. One of the most noticeable is in the sky at the end of Round 3-3.
Be aware this is a WIP (Work In Progress), bugs are to be expected, which include imprecise character movements and inconsistent enemy behavior. Changes in graphics, gameplay, or other features will happen in the future.
The emulator used is Retroarch with Genesis Plus GX core + 60% filter + Nuked YM2612.

This warms my heart to see so much love and attention to detail put into showing what the Mega Drive/Genesys can do. When I watch the footage I can't help but think of a time travel fantasy where I give a copy of this to my younger self back in 1990 and watch my own mind blowing reaction :)
One thing I look for in ports is accuracy. The closer looking, and SOUNDING especially, the better. This is phenomenal ❤

caraca 3 fases já completas, show de bola, a quarta fase agora vai demorar muito pra terminar pq é imensa essa fase da praça, mas está perfeito o projeto, sensacional!!!
A quarta fase é dentro daquela fábrica pegando fogo e depois tem o elevador para enfrentar o Rolento.

I'm sure if staff who programmed the original titles for those systems saw this they would be amazed.
I really hope this can get a release somehow with proper case and booklet it deserves it.
Unless Capcom endorses this project, and I doubt they will, then any release would be a pirate one with Mauro not receiving a cent from it.
Well Taito did the same thing with Darius release in Japan that was on the MegaDrive mini which was made by a home programmer in Japan and later was released with the backing of Taito
@@corin6677 The fact they're from Japan probably helped. Plus the fact they made a straight port without any wild change. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it sounds unlikely. I'd love to be proven wrong.
Shame this and the developer definitely deserves more recognition.

We'd never got the perfect arcade port. We were supposed to get on the 32X. I bet this guy and his team could make that happen.

Próximo estagio é tecnicamente o mais complexo, devido aquela subida do elevador e o reduzido número de camadas do Mega em relação ao arcade. Agora a percepção de gráficos e jogabilidade, sua versão parece superior ao Sega CD. Obrigado Mestre!
Pode ter certeza de que irei quebrar a cabeça com o round 4-2 na parte do elevador pra tentar fazer algo diferente do SEGA CD.

Agree, good games but they were tedious with the low on screen limit. they tried to compensate by giving enemies too much health which then turned into a slog.

Só mostra o potencial incrível deste porte....isto acontecendo mesmo que precisando de um empurram com um Kickstarter será algo que dependendo do sucesso pode recepcionar os games retro, daí não demora muita a SEGA acorda se lança algo para seu console mais querido... obrigado Mauro por fazer nós sonharmos....falo
Muito boa a nova demo. O jogo está ficando fantástico. Quero relatar que há uma diferença na mecânica do agarrão em relação as versões arcade e SNES. Nelas, vc pode dar 1 ou 2 socos e ir p frente e agarrar o adversário com facilidade, já no Megão, a mecânica está muito diferente, após dar 2 socos e andar p frente p agarrar, simplesmente não dá p agarrar da mesma maneira, demora mais e notei q, muitas vezes, tem q andar p tras e p frente ou sair da linha e voltar p conseguir agarrar e isso muda bastante a estratégia de gameplay. Abraço!

Man... I almost thought this is the mame version... it's an almost perfect port, the way that this game sounds is the only thing that made me realize it's a conversion, but man... without the sound I really could've been tricked to think this is the mame version

The game is still far from being truly faithful to the arcade, it has several deficiencies, especially at the playable level. Xavier, in this video these problems are explained very well. Video and Channel is in spanish, but I think that being Brazilian or Portuguese you would understand it quite well. The guy Also he says that he wouldn't mind talking to you personally about the game and how to improve it to be as faithful as possible to the arcade, if that is truly the intention.

I know much must be done to bring the gameplay closer to the arcade. I have already corrected many things concerning the last public demo, and by the end of February, I should publish another version with more corrections. I will watch the video you sent.

Looks like a great effort but how many people will want to play this when you can find virtually perfect ports of the arcade version on other consoles or you can emulate the arcade version? Are there new levels and additional content not in the arcade version?
Yes, there are time attack and survival modes, the latter of which allows you to fight all the bosses if you survive the waves of enemies.

I was wondering if this project would entertain the thought of choosing the soundtrack at the beginning of the game? I enjoy the arcade-esque OST on this but I really like the fan-made projects remix of the soundtracks as well (See video link on how good these tracks are).
