As always, very entertaining and informative. Such a pleasure to view your videos. We have a ‘24 X5 50e PHEV, and it has been terrific in all the ways you mention. Sporty, luxurious, comfortable, powerful, roomy, and completely trouble-free, with about 44-50 electric miles.
They're lease machine, it wasn't supposed to last for long, you don't even have to change the tires since you'll only lease them for 2 year or so. Gotta keep being in debt and consume the newest things you know?
@オルフェーヴルの夫 thats how I view them. Not sure the wife would/will agree on that. I'd be willing to bet she won't go for a lease nor the BMW. But it's an option for the price point we are looking at.
I got this exact model from a Ford dealer. 900 miles on a ‘25 model (of course, as it is anniversary edition) Long story but the dealer had the thing on the lot for some time. They gave me $6 more than the best trade in deal I found from other places (Audi; Porsche was $10k less). The car itself was about the base price, less the cost of the off-road. I did not care about much of the off-road stuff, but I want to drive this for a while. I have the full warranty less three months. I think it sat because it’s not “certified” from BMW.

How did you get that color without the sport package? And what's the off road package? Are you in the US?
