I have chronic acne (mostly closed comedones but also other types) & seb derm (lifelong) like you and a bunch of other skin issues. After sooo much research, a million doctor appointments + all bloodwork known to man over the years I've concluded that my skin issues are due to normal hormone sensitivities/fluctuations. My acne and scalp were always way more inflamed after ovulation & right before my period. When I was pregnant my skin exploded but my acne largely resolved for the first time in my life (at the end of my second trimester). The oil in my skin started to return after giving birth but because I am breastfeeding and my hormones are still suppressed. My skin and scalp have both been somewhat better albeit not completed clear. Just wanted to share! I think a lot of my issues just have to do with genetics and how my body responds to hormones (estrogen/progesterone/testosterone). I don't have PCOS. Also if I don't wash my hair every day or every other day all hell breaks loose. Hopefully when I go through menopause the acne will go away for good lol. Anyways, can relate to the struggle! XO
All the recipes look amazing- definitely downloaded your ebook. I'm loving chickpeas lately as well but the I also love feeling better through food. I've been feeling better with less gastrointestinal issues since going on a non inflammatory way of eating. Taking care of myself and my body feels better now and I am feeling more energetic to workout too. Thank you Melissa and please do more of these videos- great job!!!!! ☺️😊🥰❤️☀️🦩🌴🥰❤️ hugs to Tika❤
I had thyroid issues really young... and the only thing that got my levels back to normal was eating gluten free. Almost had to get it removed because of the risk of developing cancer. I started eating gluten again for a few years and felt the symptoms again but my levels where still normal. Currently feeling bad so im just trying to accept the fact that i feel worse on gluten. Because for whatever reason my auto immune issues seem to calm down once I do. But ive been actually having a lot more fun lately with it and trying new good meals.
I did this during Covid and loved the difference but once all the restaurants reopened and my job I’m back to square 1😢 thanks for the motivation to try this again!
I had both of those conditions my whole life! I do AIP because I Have Hashimotos, but gluten free has been a life changer. It’s hard at first, but you really do get used to it. You could try high quality less processed dairy like A2 milk or grass fed milk
I watch you in the days when you did your own highlights in your family home. Today I admire you and I wonder where you get this strength and willingness to change something in your life. I've tried cutting back on sugar, adding more vegetables, changing my breakfast habits, and trying to eat breakfast… Any advice?
Thanks for this video, it was really helpful to my current journey. May I ask; does your ebook include nutritional info for each recipe? Also when making changes like this, does it matter how much natural sugars from fruit and veg you get a day or that doesn’t matter? Xx
Thanks for this video! Also I take it aviclear didn’t completely clear your skin? I was thinking of doing it but it’s so expensive! Would you recommend it
I think it helped but didn't clear my skin fully. I was able to quit spironolactone and haven't had any bad breakouts since but lots of variables.. so hard to say 😅
I was looking forward to this video which actually reminded me of your turkey/sweet potato skillet you used to make all lot, so that’s what I cooked for dinner
Hi!! I definitely will be trying this diet. Just a question i know you said no sugar but wanted to be clear that natural sugar in fruits is still okay to have in the diet? Love your content ❤
I had dermatitis on my scalp as well. My doctor told me to use clinical strength Head & Shoulders Shampoo. It totally worked! You can condition with whatever conditioner you prefer.
I try to stay away as I'm sensitive to oats, barley, and fructose. Onions & Apples are my worst with fructose. Fodmap diet is a game changer. I've never done gluten free 100% other than fodmap but thinking of trying gluten & dairy free for GERD

Using a cheese grater for pear?! Genius! A little bit of fruit in every bite, just the way we like our overnight oats. Can't wait to try this out!

What do you use in banana bread to sweeten? Thanks.

How do AG differ from Bloom? You previously spoke about Bloom greens. Thanks.
AG1 contains more ingredients/nutrients and has more backing to their claims
Yasss ditch dat dairy !! That overnight oat looks soooo good with the grated pear yum
Is the ebook also low carb?
I was looking forward to this video which actually reminded me of your turkey/sweet potato skillet you used to make all lot, so that’s what I cooked for dinner

Subtitles don't work😿😿😿
This video made me hungry!😛
Also, if you use self tanner, you should share your current tanning regimen. Your skin looks so good and naturally glowy!
Dear I want to ask you I hear that whole wheat is bad for you I love bread what Cain a bread could I eat I only eat once a day because of my health
Girl pink is your color 😍
Just found your site very interesting I have all these issues seeing a functional medicine doctor
I had dermatitis on my scalp as well. My doctor told me to use clinical strength Head & Shoulders Shampoo. It totally worked! You can condition with whatever conditioner you prefer.
Amazing! I haven't had luck with any of the medicated shampoos :(
thank you for inspiring me to keep up with the healthy life style
btw great meals idea 💜💜
❤️❤️
A nice eat in a day video, Melissa!❤❤
I love that yogurt brand
You don’t even have to have a condition to stop eating sugar…
It’s just so not good for us 🤷🏼♀️
100%
I thought oats were not good for you. I haven't had them in 2 years.
get steel cut organic jumbo oats x
Bruh I ate oats and had an allergic reaction to it cause damm near all oat brands are cross contaminated with gluten
Bob mills has a gluten free brand try that might help or sprouted oats great for the digestion if the other ones doesnt help

They aren’t good for you
I’m celiac disease
I dont understand why cutting off gluten if you are not intolerant😅
celiac disease and gluten intolerance are different. I'm not celiac but went on this elimination diet to check for sensitives/intolerance
Rhonda Patrick does not rate Ag1 at all
Hello Melissa. SWEETS - a little less I will try!!! A woman in the kitchen - nice, good! Thumb up, tips! Have a beautiful day in Canada. Bye. Rudi.
