Imagine that example with added Optimill components too…beauty! I’ve got a 2015 Puma Hard Top, Corris Grey and love to the moon and back. Simple, basic and RAW driving. Balls to new and electric rubbish.
Hi Barry I watch a lot & comment, can't believe the private deal I got first viewing on. Instead of a Semi Auto Peugeot... I've just bought a 60 plate 7 speed DSG Skoda Octavia !! 46k Miles, FSH, great MOT history, mint condition as you often decribe, funny as the colour is mint also. After 9 months of trying to tick all my boxes for budget I'm over the moon, patience paid off. The 250 mile trip home was great in it. Honestly Barrie, the reliability & quality of car, its hopefully going to serve me for ( I wish forever ) but we'll have to see how long we can keep running 'proper' cars 😀 Sod the electric move.
What a great example… just got the right features on this one especially for the winter … love the roof rack also … you wouldn’t look out of place driving the Queen about with that and the attire …. 👍
My dad had one, but he complained the clutch was so heavy it give him leg pains. A bit noisy also on a fast run, but so much fun and gives you confidence it will cope with anything and it’s built like a tank. Great if you need it for a specific application, but I’d want something a bit more comfy for normal journeys.
Totally with you on the Barbour front! Had my Northumbria jacket for 32 years and with Barbours help has new pockets, patches on the sleeves etc😂😂 Never driven a Defender but people tell me they are not the best to drive, so will stick with my Discovery 4! Another enjoyable video. 👍
Discovery is a great car, along with the Barbour Jacket its a good combo 👍 I have to say that I do like the Defender, and if ever there is a Zombie apocalypse, I will get myself a Defender 😂
It takes me back to simpler times, cars are too complicated and are designed for people who shouldn’t be on the road if they need features like lane departure warning
I agree they last forever I have had two new ones when I had my company for mainly quarry work nothing comes near, but to drive in my opinion is the worst experience you could ever not enjoy
I appreciate the effort in matching attire to car being reviewed……outstanding!
Easily some of the best Defender content on UA-cam - nicely done!
Thanks for watching, and taking the time to leave a comment
Lots of crazy things with owning one but once you’ve had one your hooked.
I totally agree!

Great video Baz, nicely done and informative. Like the utilitarian nature of the classic Defender and Barbour 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great to watch a test with you wearing wellies/rubberboots!!!!
Glad you enjoyed
Great review of a great British iconic vehicle. Nice one Barrie.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching

Thanks for watching, absolutely love this car, Retirement Vineyard in Italy and a Defender to get about, my idea of heaven
Barries got the chammies on, great for a day on the peg, with a defender to match! Tremendous video as always
Glad you enjoyed it, them Le Chameaus are the comfiest shoes ever
@@BarrieCrampton totally agree, i shoot twice a week and wear them religiously, sadly the season has come to end.
It’s absolutely gorgeous
I agree
And it's not a truck, well done Barrie!
Great Car, Thanks for watching

I love this vehicle. Love it...
Thanks as always Barrie!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I find it funny how these things which drive dreadfully we all love them just because of character , but 100% beats anything modern in my opinion

Love this channel.
I appreciate that! thanks for watching
Prices have gone through the roof of these vehicles due to its antique value nowadays.

I get what you mean, but thats why i like them, i think it just takes me back in time
What’s the boots for Baza ? 😂
So I don’t get cold feet,
@@BarrieCrampton No heater in the old defender ?😁
the heater is nuclear, best heater ever, the boots were part of my "who drives a car like this" demo
I think then service history might be online with Landrover Barry
most of it was from a previous owner, so with GDPR we have no way of getting in touch with them and it must have been done by an independent
