Ah Seattle! It’s where my heart is (and grandchildren!), but I live on the opposite side of the country. I was last there at this time last year, and was there to welcome my second grandchild. It is my dream to move there someday. Enjoy!
I love this! The first few days are always super exciting. :). It will rain until July, so head to REI for great quality rain gear. One of my favorite restaurants is Pecado Bueno in Fremont, but there are so so so so many great restaurants. Also be sure to try coffee houses other than Starbucks, and there is an awesome tea house in Ballard called Miro Tea. Your place looks so familiar but I've been away for a few years so I could just be imagining things. :). Can't wait for more glimpses. And even after 7 years of living there, the mountains and Space Needle are always cool to look at.
Thank you!! I am glad you liked the video:) We have found quite a few tea houses that we want to go to. They look amazing they let you test different teas. So we are hoping to go there soon. We also want to go to the space needle, but since we are all busy now it might be a while before we can do those things:)
I had so much fun watching it Jennifer! It's extra relatable because I just got settled at new place too :) It's amazing how you guys have so little luggage as a family of four! When my parents moved their things including furnitures, it cost around $1,000 which seemed too expensive to me. I love how you're able to leave some things behind to have the ease of move& peace of mind! Also amazing how your kids and your husband seem very positive and involved through the whole move. Wishing all of you the best of luck as always xx p.s. the color of your eyes - so pretty! :)
Thank you!! We were able to get most of the things we wanted to bring with us on our move into our luggage, which was lucky. We didn’t really leave much behind that was important to us. Being able to move was more important than the things we owned anyway :) I’m amazed how you were able to bring so little on your move as well! It’s nice moving to a new place with less things because it definitely feels like a fresh start 💫
Thank you 😊 Yes we are really excited! It’s nice to move on and try something new after living on the east coast for so long. Now we have so many new places to explore 🥰
Loved seeing Hollywood in your video it has been my home for a few years and I know exactly where the waffle restaurant is. There used to be a cafe called The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf right next to it and across the street in that huge green tower building there used to be a Starbucks but they both closed during the pandemic 😷
I know :( I felt so bad. We did get her another one and she says she likes this on better and has taken better care of now that she is older. The other one was ripped and falling apart. So it worked out ok in the end.
We like Seattle for the most part, the streets are a little unsafe at times, which is concerning, but the weather doesn’t bother us because it is a nice change from the hot weather in Florida:)
Just a question and not a criticism. If you only have what you absolutely love/need which seems to barely anything. I appreciate why you wouldn’t take furniture and electrical but is it not less wasteful and less expensive to get a few things shipped rather than having to buy it all again when you get there?
We did ship my computer and some kitchen stuff, which was actually pretty expensive too. We looked into pods and they were also very expensive. It turned out our apartment was a lot smaller than we realized. So we will not be getting much furniture in the end:)
We have had a few problems acquiring things because of shortages so I just ended up ordering a few things from amazon, similar to what we had before. Our apartment is really small so we are not planning on having much furniture at all.

Thank you! We have been enjoying it here:) that’s great that you have ties here and are able to visit 🥰
Hope we get to see more of Seattle in your videos and more of the new apartment when you’re all moved it and have it furnished
I am hoping to share our apartment tour and more of the city in the next few weeks 😊✨

Oh wow! That’s cool! Do you like living there? It’s so interesting to find out where everyone is from that is watching 😊
It made me so sad your daughter had to leave Mr. Tiger. I know you promised her to order a new one, but still... I hope she is okay with it.

How do you like Seattle? I had to leave bc the weather I couldn't adjust to

Where are you ordering your furniture from, just curious.
