For me old pop music was made by much more competent musicians and singers with really really great voices, also the pop music was a big mix of genres, so there was much more variety. Instead today's pop music is made by people with terrible voices and a lot of times enhanced with auto tune, and si also very repetitive music, also pop music now is just practically a genre so it's very homogenius, there is less variety. There is still good music today and also great singers but sadly most of media and people don't support it as much, now there is a preference for very basic-mediocre music.
This is a song that is well remembered and remains in my memories as the version of 1982 in my early 20s commend the two of you for making a fantastic harmony. Stay healthy and be together.
